I was wondering through the local shopping center, and I was checking out the Pokémon games.

Anyway, I saw that Diamond was sold for at least $60 - $70 from EB Games. I sent an email to them, asking how much I would get if I were to trade my old game in. They would give me like $16 x_x or an extra $2 if I had one of their cards.

I'm not bagging on them, because they have totally awesome with the pre-owned PS2 games (I bought a GTA San Andreas game for 4 bucks in perfect condition) but perhaps they could make old games.. cheaper? The D/P games were released in 2007/8 (I don't know which, I'm thick, you see) and the least they could do is make it cheaper!

It's not only EB Games, its other shops too, like K-Mart and Target and stuff. I know Ninty make like, awesome quality games, but it just seems sort of ridiculous. One time I saw a Diamond game a few dollars higher than a brand-new Pearl game. That's kind of weird, also.

Please don't get mad if I have said anything I shouldn't have, this is my opinion, you don't need to accept it.

Thanks for reading my ramble :)

Man even thou 60-70 dollars is cheap as hell where i live you can get a brand new copy of diamond or pearl for 34.99 & a used copy for only 24.99.

so that's a ripe off but if i had to pay the 60-70 dollars i would because pokemon is my life almost.

Just like when black and white come out ill pay whatever it takes.

Hmmm ... anyone tried eBay? I think not, seeing as you have prices that are ranging from 33 - 70 dollars! I found good condition Emerald for 99 cents, and Pearl for like ten dollars. Seriously, if you need a Poke game, check it out.

Im going to sound sexist saying this ... More guys then girls play Pokemon (in my expirience) and most little dont want to buy something called Pearl because it sounds girly. Though the lack of the drop in price in Pokemon games is a major turn off for the series

Wow! O_O New DS games up here are only $35.... And new Wii games are $50. I would never buy Pokemon Diamond for $70... =/ Why not check Amazon? They're usually cheap with cheap shipping, or Gamestop, I always get my games there for only $35, and they're only about $20 when used. *Cough* But I would buy Platinum instead of Diamond. It's much better and up here it's the same price as Diamond and Pearl *Cough* ;)

Are you sure it was $60-70? That's an extremely high price, you could go to another store and get any combination including heart gold and soul silver for like $70.

Same for me, the prices the OP mentioned are ridiculous.

I live in Australia. I am not lying about the prices; the D/P games are still in the $60-$70 price range, even if it sound as ridiculous as a Bidoof deciding to eat a Scyther.

Yes, the HG/SS games here have gone up since they came out (I got mine for $55) but I would have expected it anyway, but you would've thought that had to have pull down the prices just a tad.

As I said, it was a ramble, no one needs to agree.
