This is going to be the thread where I put all of my tutorials. I am hoping to add a few more over the weeks although I am busy with my own hack and school. All of the pictures in my guides are under spoilers.
Let's start by opening the program unLz.GBA.
Once you have the program open, select open file and find your ROM that you will be editing the pokemon in. In my case I will be using Fire Red.
Well, I believe the numbers can be different but all of my pokemon's pictures are located from 668-1498, in this tutorial I am going to be adding Chimchar in over Charmander so I am going to select 674.
Now what you want to do is click Save As.
Open the picture in Paint or any other Picture editing program as shown.
Now expand the work size and copy and paste a picture of Chimchar off of the internet. Replace the Charmander with a Chimchar and make it look like this.
NOTE:It would be safe to save the picture as so that you don't replace the picture of Charmander in case anything happens.
Go back to unlz and click the button import and select the Chimchar picture.
Click write to ROM and change the settings to the ones in the picture below.
Select okay and you will have successfully have put a D/P pokemon in your ROM, just remember that the pokemon you are inserting should be really close to the same colors as the one you are replacing. Next I will probably do a walkthrough of how to edit the information in PokeAmp.
