    [PokeCommunity.com] Operation: Dark Tempest
Well, my first try at a Fanfic. I have this all planned out, I just need to write it now.
On the first page is the Prologue. It's only short but prologues aren't supposed to reveal much. The chapters are going to be a lot longer. I should have a banner for this story soon and there will be a Table of Contents.
At the moment, it's G, but it may eventually become PG13+
I give you all permission to say what you want about my story. So without further ado, I give you:

    PROLOGUE

"Sir," came the muffled voice at the other end of the phone.

"What is it," came another, gruffer than the other. His voice sounded fed up and impatient.

    "Operation Firestorm has failed, Sir."

    "No it hasn't,"

"Sorry, Sir?" the voice sounded fearful of a reply.

"No it hasn't," he repeated. "You have."

"But, Sir," replied the scared voice. "Maybe we should just give up. Team Tempest will just have to pursue something else."

"NO!" the other voice interrupted. "We will continue this; we will just have to change out plans of action."

"But, Sir," the voice whispered. "We had out best plan formulators to come up
with this one. We can't do any better —"

"YES YOU CAN!" There was a sound in the background of someone slamming their fists down on a wooden table. It was obvious that it was the person on the end of the line. "YOU CAN; AND YOU WILL!"

    "Y-Y-Yes, Sir," he stuttered.

"Good," replied the voice, and he hung up.

"What does he want," said a lady next to the now shaking man.

"He wants us to try again," he replied, placing the mobile phone in his pocket. "But this time he wants a new plan. Inform our scientists and formulators. Tell them to get some coffee too. They won't be able to leave tonight until they've got the perfect plan."

"Yes," she replied, leaving the room.

The man sat back down in his chair, took a sip of his coffee and went to sleep, still unsure of what they were going to do.

CHAPTER 1 — The Final of the Hoenn League

The crowd roared, cheered and applauded as the announcer began speaking. "This young man came from the far away region of Johto. Growing up in Azalea Town with his mother and father. He received his a Mudkip from his parents when he turned ten, and set out on a journey to become a pokemon master.

"From there he came in at the top eight of the Johto League, top four in the Indigo League and is now here, in the grand finals of the Hoenn League. Please give it up for, Koji Bayou!"

Another, louder roar came from the crowd as he ran out onto the stadium, waving at the many people watching him.

Koji was 15 and short for his age. He had short, messy, brown hair and hazel eyes. His skin was pale but not once had he ever had sunburn, possibly from the fact that he always wore a hat.

He was wearing, on top of a white t-shirt, a red shirt. His had deep blue jeans and his shoes were light brown. His single-shoulder bag was strung around his body and along the strap were six pokeballs.

The announcer then began announcing Koji's challenger.

"This young lady comes from Mossdeep City and has a passion for pink pokemon. This is her first time in any league and has already made it to the grand finals. This girl's future as a Pokemon trainer looks bright.

"Let's have a round of applause for, Montana Shepard!"

The girl ran out. She looked only about 11 or 12, which shocked Koji. He was use to facing opponents older than him. She had her long, blonde hair in two pigtails that were tied with a dark blue ribbon. She wore a yellow top and a long red skirt. He pokeballs seemed to be held in a small bag that was strapped around her waist.

"This is a three on three pokemon battle between Montana Shepard of Mossdeep City, and Koji Bayou of Azalea Town. Let the match, begin!"

Montana made her move first. "Go, Skitty!"

She threw the pokeball into the air and in flash of white energy, a pokemon appeared. It was a small, pink cat. It mewed and prepared itself for battle.

"Montana starts off with Skitty," cried the commentator. "Don't let this creatures size fool you. This was her first pokemon ever and can be quite a formidable opponent.

"Skitty, is it?" whispered Koji. "Okay. Go, Ninetales!"

He pulled a pokeball from his bag and threw it into the air, bringing out a golden, nine-tailed fox.

    "Ninetales," it sung.

"Skitty," cried Montana. "Double Slap!" Skitty jumped at Ninetales with awesome speed and with her tail, she slapped Ninetales across the face multiple times.

"Don't take that," said Koji. "Fight back with Fire Spin."

Ninetales blew a stream of fire that flew at Skitty and spiralled around her, like at tornado. The sounds of sizzling fur and a cheering crowd filled the air. The fire dispersed, but Skitty appeared unaffected

"Skitty, use Assist!" Skitty's hand shone and in a split second, so did her tail. Like a pendulum, it went back and forth, back and forth.

"And Skitty's Assist produced a Metronome," yelled the commentator. "I wonder what Metronome will produce."

Skitty's body began glowing blue, the energy making the air around her cold.

"Is this what I think it is," cried the commentator. And with that, Skitty basted Ninetales with a river of water that could knock down a building. "And I was right. It was Hydro Cannon an extremely powerful water attack."

"Ninetales," screamed Koji. "Fight back with Fire Blast."

Ninetales' mouth opened wide and produced a five-pointed flame. The two attacks met in the middle of the battlefield, but Hydro Cannon won. It shot at Ninetales and hit her, shooting her up, hundreds of metres into the sky. She flew back down at the ground but Koji held up his pokeball and returned her before she could hit the ground and do some serious damage.

"Ninetales is out!" cried the commentator. "What pokemon will Koji send out next?" Koji put Ninetales' pokeball on his bag strap, paused for a moment, and then selected another ball.

"Go, Megainium," said Koji, throwing the ball into the air. The balls opened and with a flash of white light, a green, grass type pokemon appeared. This had been Koji's first pokemon ever caught, and he had caught it as a Chikortia, trained it up, and watched it grow and evolve from a Chikorita to a Bayleef and then to a Meganium.

"Meganium, Sunny Day!" Meganium cried out and then, so quickly, the sun's heat shining down on than 10 degrees hotter than before. Everyone in the crowd groaned from the heat. "Solar Beam, Meganium!"

Meganium's mouth opened wide and his petals began to shine bright white. A blast f burning white light shot from his mouth at supersonic speed, hitting Skitty. There was an explosion and a throw up of dust. When the dust and smoke cleared, all that was left was a burned Skitty and a Crater large enough to fit a few Snorlaxes.

"Return, Skitty," said Montana, holding out her pokeball. "You did a good job and don't worry; you will be avenged." She picked another pokeball and cried as she threw it into the air, "Go Clefable."

The familiar stream of white energy shot out of the ball and revealed a pink pokemon with two small wings on it's back. "Okay, Clefable," cried Montana. "Metronome."

Clefable lifted he hands up and one small, stubby finger. She waved them from side to side singing along with it,

"Clefable, Clefable, Clefable…" He fingers began glowing. Koji knew he had to stop the attack from happening.

    "Solar Beam again, Meganium!"

Meganium opened his mouth and shot the beam of white light at Clefable who had just finished her Metronome attack. The Metronome turned into a Reflect attack. The Solar Beam rebounded off the orange barrier surrounding Clefable and straight back at Meganium.

"Stop it with another Solar Beam, Meganium"

Meganium went to fire the attack again, but the one flying at him was way too fast. It hit Meganium and completely engulfed him in white light. The light diffused and Meganium was left lying on the ground, his flower around his neck on fire.

"Return," whispered Koji. He was down to his last pokemon. He had to make it count. "Go, Swampert."

The pokeball flew into the air and released a blue, water and ground type pokemon. "Swampert," commanded Koji. "Surf!"

The ground below them began to shake. Swampert appeared to be lifting something heavy and invisible from the ground below, but it was clear what he was doing when the stadium began filling with water.

The water began to gain ripples that grew bigger and bigger into waves. All four corners of the stadium release glass panes either side, preparing for an underwater battle. Koji and Montana had been lifted up above the water by two pillars.

Swampert rode a huge wave and as it broke, he fell onto a drowning Clefable. The wave had made Swampert's fall more powerful.

"Clefable, return," said Montana. She stared down at the water, checking to see if the water was going to go back underground, but it didn't. She stopped and pondered for a moment, and then chose a pokeball.

    "Go, Porygon,"

Porygon, thought Koji. He had faced one before and knew how powerful they were.

    "Porygon, use Psybeam."

    "Swampert, go underwater."

A multicoloured beam of light shot into the water and flew at Swampert who was diving underwater as quickly as he could. The attack missed Swampert, but was very close to striking him.

Hang on, thought Koji. Water refracts light. If Swampert stays below the water, Porygon won't be able to tell exactly where Swampert is, unless Porygon —

    "Swampert use Earthquake."

Swampert floated to the bottom of the tank and began stomping the ground, opening up fissures. The water level went down but huge waves began to develop on the surface. Swampert could see a befuddled Porygon above the water who was trying to work out where to attack.

"Now, Swampert," Koji shouted. "Blast Porygon away with Hydro Pump.

Though everyone outside the tank could not see, Swampert was blowing gallons of water up into the tank. With the added water around Swampert, the attack would become more powerful. A geyser of water then shot from the surface and hit Porygon, who was shot into the air at a tremendous speed.

"Yes!" cried Koji. As Porygon landed on Montana's pillar, knocked out.

"Porygon is unable to battle. Koji is the winner," announced the referee

"My gosh!" shrieked the commentator. "Koji has won the Hoenn League. He is the new champion."

Fireworks shot into the air left right and centre as the Flood Removal Squad — a group of Blastoises, Feraligatrs, and Swamperts — emptied the tanks of all the water.

Once the water had been cleared, they raised the podium, Koji on top and presented him with his cup,

"Congratulations, Koji," said the suited man that presented him with his trophy. "Oh and there's a call waiting for you. When you're finished here, we'd like you to answer it."

Who could it be? Thought Koji. He went to ask the man, but he was already gone.
