Opinion on Pokemon Battle Revolution

Horribly boring unless you absolutely love battling i bought cuz i wanted to see the pokemon in better graphics not very thrilling 4 out of 10 sold it for $22 usd

What do you guys think about this game? I'm wondering if I should buy it.

It gives you access to some relatively hard to obtain items like a few berries and TMs, as well as 3 Pokemon:

Pikachu with Surf.
Electivire
Magmortar.

For these reasons, it might be worth it if you aren't into trading or can't trade for whatever reason.

Otherwise, it's essentially Diamond/Pearl expansion pack, and all there is to do is battle. If your Wii isn't set up with an Internet connection, then the main game takes MAYBE 20 hours, tops.

The one advantage it has over DS battling is you can do random battles on PBR. But with random battles, it's no rules/clauses. Sometimes you'll encounter people using rental Pokemon from PBR. More often, it's Mewtwo/Kyogre/Garchomp/Dialga.

Try to buy it used.

If it weren't for the fact that it was rushed quite a bit (many features are missing from the original demo video/previous 3D installments, such as a starting animation when pokémon are sent out (though pokémon will still preform this animation occasionally while they're idle), attack animations aren't even preformed if an attack misses or is evaded (unlike Pkmn Stadium 1 and 2), the enviornment isn't changed in any way no matter how many times you hyper beam the ground/seismic toss wailord into a building like in the video, and many pokemon models feel cheaply made/are reused from the original pokemon stadium (Bronzong anyone?).), then perhaps Pokémon Battle Revolution could of turned out to be a fun game, or at least bearable to complete, but as the game stands now, it's sort of like Pokemon Stadium mixed with Pokemon Coliseum only without the Gameboy Tower, or the Mini Games, or the 3D Pokedex, or much of a story mode.

On the side note, you can battle randomly with anyone else around the world that happens to have the game, which can be occasionaly challanging and fun.

But other then that, don't get it unless you enjoy battling en-mass or are really desperate to get a certain item or the novelty surfing pikachu. (One of the reasons I got the game was in order to get an up-grade for one of my porygons.;))

to me its okay, I forgot about June 25th 2007 when it first came out, so I got it in August, I just like looking at my Pokemon in 3D and learning how to pronounce some of the Pokemon's names

Finished it on the day after I bought it. I wouldn't say it's boring, it's just got boundaries. It's just non-stop battling, for nothing really, just the experience of the new graphics.

I have it, and it's pretty bad. I mean, there isn't really a storyline. It should be like Colosseum or XD with a storyline.

Its ok, but it really needed expansion. even if not a story mode, perhaps the ability to actually roam poketopia would have been nice. that ever-present menu feels very constricting. Its not as if they would be short of space. im quite sure pokemon stadium is much larger.

I like it. I don't like it near as much as xd or colosseum but it is still challenging in spots. The 100 battle survival battle is cool. I was pretty mad that I took so long to get to the 90s several times and lose. Now I have better pokemon so I will take on the challenge again soon. The highest I made it was #98. Beating it in 1 day, I just don't know about that.

It's an ok game. Probably not worth the $40-$50 it costs brand-new, though, so I'd suggest trying to find a decent used copy for cheap.

is this game still 40-50 bucks? it can't seriously be that popular
