Original Starter Idea

I have an idea to a new approach to the pokemon games, but having no rom hacking ability/experience, I doubt I can make this idea happen.

Originally, in the beginning of the game, one is to choose a starter pokemon; just one starter. Afterward, the player goes to each gym, one by one, with each one offering a specialty type of pokemon.

I propose the player choosing six starting pokemon. Each of them belonging to a class corresponding to its type: fire, water, electric, grass, earth/fighting, psychic/ghost/dark. No double types are allowed in these classes. The player can choose one, and only one, from each of these classes. Now, as for gym leaders, none of them have a specialty type. There are much in fact like the Verridian gym (with Blue as the Leader) where the leader has six pokemon all of different types. These pokemon start off very strong and can only be (easily) defeated by type matching. E.g.: If the Leader has a Lvl 20 Fire/Dark, the Player would send out a Lvl 15ish Water with a strong move. Even wild pokemon will be stronger than the norm and will be hard to defeat without type matching.

This idea was made to promote a well-rounded team by giving the user the tools to create this team right from the start. I often raise only one strong pokemon which blasts away anything before it (Currently a Lvl 55 Kadabra in RijonAdventures) because I don't come across any pokemon I would wish to waste my time to train since I know it won't be in my final roster. That leads to a less fulfilling game on account of the ease, but cannot be avoided because no suitable pokemon can be met until much later! In Rijon, there wasn't even an electric pokemon till my Kadabra was lvl 40! I certainly won't go back to the beginning just to train this one pokemon.

So I hope someone can use this idea, and if they do I would appreciate it if that person would PM me, or if the idea sucks, I don't mind if you say so, just as long as there is reasoning behind it.

(By the way, I totally love the RijonAdventures hack and didn't mean to make it seem bad)
