Ok guys I've been using a lot of slung together teams from people in my box for a while now and figured I'd give it a shot at a decent team. I spent a couple hours last night working on a team that actually covers quite a few threats so here we go.
Ok this team seems to be doing pretty well for me so far. It's pretty standard and goes against many common threats that I have. I love Lead Zelf and it's done quite a fair penny to many other opposing threats. Now onto the team so that you might destroy it :P
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Naive [+Spe, -Sp.Def]
56 Att / 252 Spe / 200 Sp. Att
-Fire Blast
-Grass Knot
-Explosion
-Stealth Rock
I tossed Taunt. Taunt although useful has been a hinderance to me since day 1. Taunting some leads and catching a hit to the face due to the fact that they know the Taunt is coming. So I threw it out for Grass Knot. Simply because Grass Knot utterly destroys Swampert leads and greatly pains some CBTTar pursuiters and Hippowdons. Fire Blast is easily a OHKO on standard Bronzong. 56 Attack EV's is to give my Explosion the "umph" i desire. Rocks is just there to get it up early.
Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Bold [+Def, -Att]
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Sp. Att
-Light Screen
-Will-o-Wisp
-Thunderbolt
-Shadowball
Light Screen does not look very tastey on a rotom. But it helps quite well with the rest of the team. Rotom-H is my Check for Gyara/Scizor mainly. Will O Wisp is great for burning and helping with the given stats it almost ensures he won't take a OHKO from anything physical. I considered HP Ground for a very long time mainly for heatrans but opted Light screen over it. Another possible choice would be HP Grass giving me the ability to nail some Perts, but this team really isn't afraid of any pert of any kind. Given perts lack of Restoration in battle chipping its HP away is childs play. The EV set was given to me by Pokedra, whether he designed it or not I'd like to thank him for it.
Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Timid [+Spe, -Att]
252 Speed / 252 Sp. Att / 4 HP
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Heat Wave
-U-Turn
While lots of people use ScarfDos to lead and scout I prefer it to revenge and destroy. I have little reliability with Mence. With the current metagame being where it is I need something to come in and revenge kill him. HP Ice does the trick just fine. Heat Wave is for the many Metagross that plague me, the few Scizors that are brave enough to stay in. Thunderbolt also helps if Rotom is gone for annihilating a DD'ed Gyarados. Zapdos is a very nice check to quite a few pokemon.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Adament [+Att, -Sp.Att]
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
-Pursuit
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
Pretty standard Scizor here. His main purpose is the MANY DDTTars that are running amuck through the game. Given that DDTTar invests into no Defense it's almost ensured KO with Bullet punch especially if the LO has hurt him a bit. Pursuit is very nice for guys who are trying to live such as blissey and friends. Superpower is just mainly for Heatrans and optimal coverage. U-Turn for scouting and getting out when I predict a Magnezone switch in though I'd probably superpower it at that time.
Machamp @ Life Orb
Adament [+Att, -Sp.Att]
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Def
Trait: No Guard
-Dynamic Punch
-Stone Edge
-Fire Punch
-Thunderpunch
First off I'd like to let you know that this guy is pretty awesome. I chose LO over CB as I didn't want to have to many choicers and the ability to switch attacks is always awesome. TTar is a big problem to me, so I find Machamp to be a great return for him. 252 HP gives him some natural bulk and helps with the likes of Heatrans who like to try and kill off a few of my team. If I have a Light screen up it's almost impossible for this guy to die from a Psychic so they might as well forget that. Fire Punch was chosen over Ice Punch due to Scizors / Forretress and other steels who like to pretend that they can stop me. It also does the same damage to Celebis but has a chance to burn which is nice. Thunderpunch is for Skarmory mainly and Stone Edge helps dearly with Mence as I tossed Ice Punch for Fire Punch.
Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adament [+Att, -Sp.Att]
252 Att / 252 Spe / Defense
Trait: Intimidate
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
GOD i love gyarados. His sweeps are ALWAYS awesome. Normally I like to run a BulkyGyara but with LO sweeper set its more immediate problems for the opponent which we all love and praise. Dragon Dance was a given making him prone to sweeps on all ends of the gene pool. He's quite powerful and I dont' knwo what else to say. He's really nice at taking down some of my biggest weaknesses. Coupled with a Light Screen and intimidate lord he makes for one awesome switch in late game.
Ok guys this is my team for the Most part. Pick away at it, I like it but I am willing to make any changes to make this team further become powerful.
Thanks PCS&MS you've helped me so :)
