    ~Team Overview~

Fairly offensive team. Had a huge winning streak when I first started using it, and it's still doing quite well, although not quite as well as before. I got up to about 1500 using this, then I stopped playing for a while and dropped to 1450. I'll probably make another account for a ladder run soon. This is also my best team up to this point, although there's always still room for improvement.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Machamp @ Lum Berry
    Ability: No Guard
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 SpD
    -Substitute
    -DynamicPunch
    -Payback
    -Bullet Punch

This Machamp works well as a lead. Tyranitar, Gengar, and Azelf are some of the most common leads, and this set can get rid of them all quite easily. Most opponents don't expect Payback, so they would usually switch their Tyranitar out to Rotom or Gengar and expect me to switch. Instead, I hit them with Payback and KO them. Works like a charm.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Mamoswine @ Leftovers
    Ability: Snow Cloak
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    -Stealth Rock
    -Ice Shard
    -Earthquake
    -Stone Edge

Mamoswine's main purpose is to set up Stealth Rocks. If it can get in a kill, great. If it can't, well that's just fine too. I like to keep it until I know that the opponent doesn't have any Salamence or Flygon, though.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Gyarados @ Leftovers
    Ability: Intimidate
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk / 228 Spe / 28 SpD
    -Dragon Dance
    -Waterfall
    -Ice Fang
    -Earthquake

Gyarados is quite a beast after a Dragon Dance. With the last three moves, it'll be able to hit at least neutral on everything but Surskit and Shedinja. Surskit is a laugh, and Shedinja should be dead from Stealth Rocks anyways. Leftovers is because I always find myself dying because of Life Orb at all the wrong moments. Without Life Orb Gyarados still has problems with Celebi and the occasional Defense-oriented Zapdos, though.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    -Rapid Spin
    -Hydro Pump
    -Thunderbolt
    -Recover

My Rapid Spinner. Gets rid of entry hazards, which are a problem for my team. Well, really only for my Infernape, who happens to be my MVP. But that alone justifies Starmie's use. This thing also helps against Heatran who come up against my Scizor.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Scizor @ Leftovers
    Ability: Technician
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -Quick Attack
    -Roost

This version of Scizor can last a very long time, especially after Heatran is done and dead. It also beats Milotic, Suicune, and Vaporeon one on one, but only if I've still got at least 80-85% of my health left. Quick Attack is very useful against Gyarados and Zapdos who think they can wall me. Quick Attack should KO both after a Swords Dance and some Stealth Rocks damage.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Infernape @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Blaze
    Nature: Naive
    EVs: 24 Atk / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
    -Fire Blast
    -Close Combat
    -Grass Knot
    -Hidden Power [Ice]

This thing is a beast. It has swept through entire teams almost single-handedly and can get rid of many Pokemon that pose a threat to my team, such as Celebi, Jirachi, Bronzong, Salamence, Gliscor, Tyranitar, Scizor, Swampert, Rhyperior, and many others.

    Celebi @ Leftovers
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 32 SpA
    -Substitute
    -Leech Seed
    -Grass Knot
    -Hidden Power [Ice]

This could probably come back since I've got Stealth Rocks on my team and you know how Leech Seed has the tendency to force switches. With Scizor and Heatran running rampant though, making a slot onto the team just for that isn't really worth it.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Heatran @ Salac Berry
    Ability: Flash Fire
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    -Substitute
    -Fire Blast
    -Earth Power
    -Hidden Power [Electric]

This guy just never really worked out. I tried the Scarf version, found out I wasn't too good using Choice items. I didn't really like this too much either. By the time I've got that 417 speed, I'm down to 25% of my health.

    [PokeCommunity.com] /* OU Team

    Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    Nature: Naive
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    -Thunderbolt
    -Flash Cannon
    -Hidden Power [Fire]
    -Explosion

This was what I got after trying to find a good Scizor counter while still being a good special threat. I later decided that Gyarados and Infernape was enough, and I benched this guy for Starmie. It served its purpose and has had its fair share of kills. Unfortunately, I just happen to need Starmie more.

    Threats:

    Tyranitar
    - Machamp, Gyarados, and Infernape cover it fine.
Gyarados - Starmie scares it away, Stealth Rocks does the main damage.
Infernape - Gyarados revenge kills it, providing it doesn't carry HP Electric.
Azelf - These things are usually suicide leads, Machamp takes it down easily.
Rhyperior - This thing is weak to everything on my team.
Electivire - Mamoswine and Infernape can take this thing down.
Salamence - Once again, Mamoswine and Infernape can take care of this.
Togekiss - Mamoswine can absorb the Thunder Wave and fight back with Stone Edge.
Gengar - Usually just revenge killed, Scizor covers him fine.
Lucario - Infernape does fine as long as he can survive the initial Extremespeed. Gyarados also takes care of him.
Starmie - Scizor and constant attacks will wear this down. Can just be revenge killed.
Weavile - Infernape, Mamoswine, and Scizor all beat Weavile.
Dugtrio - Mamoswine OHKOs back with Ice Shard.
    Alakazam - Scizor and Gyarados.
    Porygon-Z - Infernape and Machamp.
Medicham - Constant attacks wear this down.
Machamp - Wear it down with what I've got, revenge kill it.
    Jolteon - Mamoswine and Scizor.
Aerodactyl - These things are usually just leads, a DynamicPunch + Bullet Punch will take care of it.
Snorlax - Switch to Infernape on the Curse, then Close Combat and revenge kill if necessary.
Zapdos - Mamoswine takes care of it, otherwise revenge killed
    Blissey - Scizor set-up bait.
Suicune - Scizor beats it one-on-one unless it has HP Fire or anything like that. It won't have that, though.
Breloom - These things are jerks. Infernape or Scizor will kill it, though.
    Slaking - Smart switching.
Tangrowth - Infernape threatens to OHKO with Fire Blast.
Ninjask - Usually a lead, Machamp has its way of killing these things.
Metagross - AgilityGross is a tough one. If I've got Machamp, I can DynamicPunch and hope for the best. If not, then pretty much GG.
    Heatran - Gyarados does fine.
Celebi - Infernape usually OHKOs with Fire Blast. Scizor scares it away.
    Jirachi -Infernape and Mamoswine.
    Shaymin-S - Scizor.
Rotom (All forms): They'll usually switch into Machamp, I'll destroy them then.

Future members may include Kingdra or Salamence. Haven't seen much else that could work here, though.

And so that concludes my team. I guess I'd like to thank Kevin Garrett for giving me advice, and for that Machamp lead. I've never used Machamp until he told me to and now I realize that I've missed out on a lot of fun.

    Critique, please.

I think the main issue here is Life Orb Gyarados, after a Dragon Dance it OHKO's your only means of defense againse it, that being Starmie. Id personally give Starmie some more bulk or just go for a Scarf set with trick/rapid spin/t-bolt/surf so you can revenge it or something.

Mixape really does work better with Life orb btw :<

I also like Encore on my lead machamp too as it grants free switch ins for stuff and lols at set ups but i suppose bullet punch does finish of sash leads so meh.

This is actually one of the better teams ive seen lately and im surprized it hasnt got any replies, so have a free bump x]

    Thanks :D

I prefer Expert Belt on my Infernape because I find myself dying due to Life Orb at the worst moments. I really have had no problems with Expert Belt relating to the damage output. Life Orb is nice, but it's also easy for the opponent to abuse.

I think Scarf on Starmie would work, as I usually switch out after one attack anyways lol. I'll test it.

    Starmie @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 HP / 32 Def / 252 SpA
    -Trick
    -Surf
    -Thunderbolt
    -Rapid Spin

252 HP EVs mean 324 HP. After SR damage, Gyarados still fails to OHKO Starmie even with Life Orb, which means it will probably die in the process of trying to kill it. If there is no SR up, then Starmie can come back in later and Trick someone.

Read carefully, the last 3 were previous members.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I don't see why that's necessary Mobile. You're a big girl, and you can read that he said they're previous members of his damn team. God...

Anyway, onto the team. It's quite solid, but I'm not really liking that Scizor. It's pure set up fodder for something such as Metagross, which is sad because Metagross actually can hurt your team quite a bit with Meteor Mash/Earthquake/ThunderPunch. I really like X-Scissor on Scizor, as it discourages things like Metagross or Bronzong from staying in and setting up either Stealth Rock or even Agiliy.

You also have a little trouble with Wacan Berry Gyarados, but I guess you can work around it some way or another (Starmie dies from a +2 EQ IIRC, as does the rest of your team).

Rotom-H can counter both Metagross and Gyarados and hurts other bulky waters, which can hurt my team.

    Rotom-H @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 140 HP / 172 SpA / 196 SpD
    -Discharge
    -Overheat
    -Hidden Power [Ground]
    -Will-O-Wisp / Shadow Ball

Gyarados runs away from this, Metagross is either OHKO'd with Overheat or outsped and 2HKO'd (support version). Heatran at worst will have about 8% remaining by the time HP Ground is done. Bulky Waters should also have trouble with this. Discharge has that nice 30% paralysis rate and KOs Gyarados, so that's why I chose it. I might not need Will-O-Wisp, but it's always a nice move to have. I always find myself having trouble with Cresselia though, so Shadow Ball might replace Will-O-Wisp.
