3rd Gen overworld editor help

im using overworld editor and i need to change the palette. im replacing brendon with dawn and i need to change one color and add pink. i have a 16bit png picture of the sprite but o.w.e doesnt use png it uses bnp and if i convert it it turns into an all grey image. i need help either changing the palette or changing the file without distorting the color.

I'm not sure exactly where to move it within ROM Hacking so... just go search around in the Emulation forums and ask there if you still can't find your answer.
