Here's an example of having to know someone before getting paired.

THIS IS NOT ACTUAL! NONE OF THIS HAPPENED!!

Let's say I asked some guy to pair with me and he said yes. We never talked and didn't like the same things. So when someone asked who I was paired with and what he's like I'd be all nervous cause I didn't know him. That's a stupid example I know but it reasonable. ^^
