4th Gen Pairing up with Lance?

As long as I get that Tag battle with Lance against the admins, I'll be a happy Camper (...or Picnicker or whatever...actually, I'd rather be a Cooltrainer. XD)

Even though some people are against it, I would like to have Lance team up with/follow me, but just in the Mahogany Hideout. Maybe we could split up at certain points, and team back up together again. What would be nice is maybe having the option of him teaming up with us. It would make the ones who want to do it on their own happy, as well as the ones who want him to stick by us. :)

Probably. But they should make somewhat special, i always hated the walkthroughs through the establishments of Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma. A pairing with Lance would be nice, but the walkthrough would be for me so boring as the others.
 
A double battle with Lance would be GREAT! But you would have Pokemon in levels 40-50, and he would have his level 60 Dragonite. So that would be a huge difference. :)

This actually depends actually. For one, we'll still need to see if they imporve the levels of gyms and all. If so, then we can definitely expect Lance to be at a proper level for this point of the game. Secondly, they may actually keep Lance in the 40-50 range as being 60 will be a little high for him at such a close point by the 7th Gym. Not to mention, in RSE when we paired up with Steven it was close to the 7th gym as well [very interesting coincidence might I add] and Steven's Pokémon were in the 40s. This also depends on the player, as some may train to extreme levels while some may be far behind in levels for their own team, or the player will be just about right at this point and time of the game. So, it'll basically depend on multiple of things when comparing Lance to us if this double battle idea together is fulfilled.

Yes, you're totally right. He may have 3 Dragonites with their levels matching your Pokemon's ones.
 
I don't see why not. Kick a few Rocket goons off their legs. Even against the Red Gyarados, to make it a little harder to catch? Since Lance ends up with the Gyarados in the Anime (perhaps in the Manga too?), he could offer a trade after/if you catch it. I dunno, just some ideas.

Oh my gosh, tell me about it. I was so excited when I found out Cynthia was going into Distortion World with me, because I was thinking, "multi battle against Cyrus!" and that maybe Saturn would follow to help him, I don't know. *Sigh* But no, I guess they don't like revealing the Champion's Pokémon...

I don't know who it was, but someone pointed out that double battles were probably meant to be in the original G/S/C but were scrapped. There are several points when you walk into two trainers lines of sight, and the twin trainer class. But the most telling indicator of this is when you fight side by side with Lance in Mahogany town.Therefore I think that they(my term for Gamefreak) should implement a double battle with Lance in order to be true to the original design, not to mention the fact that it would be TOTALLY FREAKIN' SWEET!
 
I hope so. I also hope he meats Cynthia.

I hope it happens, even though honestly I won't be surprised if it doesn't. D: -sigh- It seems like something that just part of the anime, to make it to more amusing at the time.
 
Maybe... Because double battle was created in the 3rd Gen, maybe you would pair with Lance... It would be Cool to see a Dragonite and your Starter fighting together to eliminate an Arbok and a Vileplume :D

I would love to see that. It would make the Rocket Hideout in Mohagany that much more awesome.
 
You will pair with Lance, and with other main characters I bet, as the other starting character (as if you choose male, the girl will help you in some ocasions).
They may put some characters like Cheryl or Marley also.
 
I really wanna see how they animate Lance's Dragonite using Hyper Beam on that one Rocket Grunt. Teaming up with Lance was one of my favorite parts of the game.
 
I think it'll happen, although I don't think we'll see the double battle thing with him. Throughout that portion of the game (when you and Lance storm TR's secret base) there are hints made at how powerful Lance is by various characters, including Silver and some of the Grunts. The idea behind this was that both new players and players of Gen I would just recognise him as a good trainer, and not know (or twig in) that he was the Champion.

We never got to see Lance's Pokémon, excpet his Dragonite in sprite form.
