I am trying to make type-specific parties on Pokemon Firegreen. Can someone tell me which Pokemon to put in a Fire-, Water-, Electric-, Psychic-, and Grass-based starting six? The Pokemon can be out of all of the 386 available Pokemon, except for Mew, Celebi, and Deoxys.

    Charizard, Kyogre, Raichu, Latias, Sceptile.

You wanted 6 but only named 5 specific types.

Once again people think that kyogre is the ultimate water type, *sigh* when will people learn that Ludicolo and Milotic can easily kick kyogre's butt, here are my suggestions:
    Fire: Ninetales or Arcanine
Water: Milotic or Ludicolo (depends on if you want to sweep or stall for ingame playing I'd suggest a Milotic with Mirror coat, Ice beam, surf and recover)
Electric: Raichu or Manectric both of them are good
Psychic: Alakazam or Gardevoir, I prefer alakazam though
Grass: Ludicolo all the way (if ludicolo isn't your water type that is) if it is then you should go with Venusaur.
since you didn't mention the last type I'd say you should take jynx (It's one of the best spec sweepers) or if you only want one psychic type take Dunsparce instead (with serene grace as a trait and counter, body slam, shadow ball and rockslide as attacks it can do some serious damage (I put down a suicune to 7% hp with my dunsparce) well hope I helped.

I don't think he wants a party with just those types. Rather, I think he wants five mono-type parties.

Fire- Charizard, Ninetails, Magcargo, Camerupt, Arcanine, Moltres (there aren't many good Fire-types)

Water- Starmie, Milotic, Gyarados, Whishcash/Swampert, Ludicolo, Lapras

Electric- Jolteon, Raichu, Zapdos, Magneton, Electrabuzz, Manetric

Psychic- Starmie, Claydol, Medicham, Exeggutor, Alakazam, Metagross

Grass- Sceptile, Venusaur/Vileplume, Exeggutor, Jumpluff, Ludicolo, Shiftry/Cacturne

    Is that what you wanted?

With a good moveset, Kyogre can take out any type.

    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Calm Mind
    Thunder

Kyogre's drizzle makes Thunder 100% accurate.
Calm Mind to build up a wall against Grass/Electric.
    Ice Beam to cover Grass.
And Surf because of the STAB and Rain.

That's the frekaing standard, smart one. That's pretty much what smarty artry meant when he said Milotic or Ludicolo could take on Kyogre. Spend some time on NB before you try making claims about movesets being able to take on anything.

Goji got what I was thinking of. But his list is completely different than mine. I was thinking more along the lines of Fire: Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Ninetales, Flareon, and Moltres. For Water: Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, Kyogre, Vaporeon, and something else. Lightning: Zapdos, Raichu, Jolteon, Raikou, and 2 more. Grass: Venusaur, Meganium, Sceptile, and 3 more. I can't think for Psychic right now. I'll list it later.
