So I've been trying to get a good party for the Kanto league.
I'd like to keep my starter and have each HM be able to be used anytime in the party. My current party is

    Typhlosion Lv.48
    Gengar Lv.48
    Poliwrath Lv.47
    Lapras Lv.47
    Ho-Oh Lv.47
    Rhydon Lv. 44

I want to get rid of Ho-Oh for a really good non-legendary but I'm not sure.
    Any suggestions would be great

If you want a Flying type to replace Ho-oh try with Aerodactyl, Murkrow (and later Honchkrow with a dusk stone.

The best choice for me, is Dragonite (get a Dratini on the casino or Dragon's Den and start to train the pokemon). Also you can try with some of the Eeve evolutions.

I see you have a good team (i like your combination), good work ^^

Moved to In-Game Team help section, which is specifically for threads like this one.

I'd avoid getting another flying type; that'd make half your team weak to Electric with only one (rather meh) resistance. Gliscor is a really nice Pokemon that you could replace Ho-oh with, if you do want a Flying-type, though.

I'd probably get rid of Rhydon, though. It's slow, horrible defensively and has two double-weaknesses, and a plethora of others. The aforementioned Gliscor would make a nice replacement. Scizor is also a really powerful Pokemon. Try finding a Scizor with Technician and getting the Bullet Punch move tutor from the Battle Frontier, if you can. :D The weakness to fire is nothing when you have two water types. ;P

Also, I'd advice Rock Smash on Typho, Waterfall + Whirlpool on Wrath, Surf on Lapras, Flash (can it learn it?) on Gengar, Fly on Gliscor and Cut on Scizor. Strength can go on anything with decent attack (i'd advise poliwrath, personally).

    Hope I helped? :D
