[Tool] Patching help

I just patched in the 649 patch into my FireRed 1.0 ROM, and when I try and open maps in Advance Map it gives me a bunch of errors and makes the maps 1x1. All I have done is apply the patch, I haven't done anything else. Any help?

Never heard of that patch. But from your info I'd say: don't use it at all. If you want to expand the amount of Pokemon in Fire Red, use the Dynamic Pokemon Expansion by Skeli.
