PBR A good purchase?

I was thinking of getting Pokemon Battle Revoulution for Christmas for my little brother. Is it a waste of moolah or a good experience?

I think it is, its really cool to see your pokes battle on a big screen, and the shop on it etc makes it fun- not too mention th great pokes you can get from it ^^

Well my brother played it and didn't like it however I thought it was quite good.
In my opinion, it is the game you don't stay on all day. It is the game you pull out regularly and play often in short bursts as it gets boring in the short term, but stays fun in the long term.

You can get three pokes to trade to D/P/Pt in the secret Electivire and secret Magmortar and if you complete the game you get a Volt Tackling, Surfing Pikachu.

The color and environment on this piece is amazing but it gets a bit boring. I really like it for a battle every now and then. Just get that new controller so u do not have to use the wii mote.

I'm not too sure about Magmortar or Electivire because I already had both on my game so I didn't check. They're both Lv 50 and the Pikachu is Lv 10.

I'd say why not, it's not a bad game. Well, you know, unless you want storyline....but for something collesium-esque, I'd say go for it. :)

It'd be a better bet just to buy Pokemon Stadium, as PBR is missing a couple of key elements that made Pokemon Stadium so fun. These are:

• All pokemon rentable, no trainer card with 6 pokemon it crap
• Gym Leader Castle - fun and challenging, gave a bit more depth to the game and a reason for completing it.

But, then again, Pokemon Stadium is too rare these days and I doubt you have an N64 (Correct me if I'm wrong.). I'm sure your little bro will enjoy Pokemon Battle Revolution regardless. It's fun to see your own pokemon on the big screen, even without the two key features that made the predecessors fun.

It's got ups and downs. The Wifi capabilities are just horrible. Huge let down there. But the Pokemon and Scenery are just magnificent. Battles get a bit repetitive and like noxious said, it's definitely something that you play every now and then. Anything more than that and it gets boring. Overall: 5/10

Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Psychic, Hyper beam (I think)

Electivire: Thundepunch, Crosschop, Earthquake, Ice punch

In my opinion it's a good game and it's challenging. I found it one of the best ways to get the special berries (e.g salac, ganlon.)
