To be honest, I'm not sure having tons of categories is really a good thing... Also, I'm not too keen on the "most over-hyped" category (isn't that a bad thing?).
I'm assuming I can't vote for myself, but I can vote for one game in multiple categories, right?
Anyway:
Most original concept: Pokémon Lime. I haven't seen any other games which are set on a single island with no Gyms and just one town, although I suspect that the lack of freedom might turn some people away.
Most progress made:
Most influential: I'd have to say Kyledove. Why? Let me put it this way: how many other people have got so many games using their tilesets?
Most anticipated: Pokémon Raptor. Being one of the oldest active games, a lot of people know it. Couple that with the frequent updates, and it's hard not to be excited!
Most violent: Pokémon Assault. Come on, do I even need to go into this? It's Dawn with a shotgun o_o
Most colourful: Pokémon Infinite Rainbow. From the various tiles to the battle system, it's certainly deserving of having 'rainbow' in its name.
Most over-hyped: Again, Infinite Rainbow. It's very popular, but to be honest, it doesn't have many unique features. Unlike many others, there are no modifications to the scripts...
Most dedicated developer: OmegaGroudon. Despite being unable to work on Raptor for a while, he's made up for it with several stunning updates. It's one of the most frequently updated games, and with a new demo drawing ever closer, you can tell OG's really giving it his all.
Most custom graphics: Kyledove's MMO. You'd have to look very hard to even find one example of official graphics; I'd say it's 99% custom. Impressive, huh?
Most custom systems: Pokémon Protectors. As it's made with RM2K3, it doesn't use a starter kit, so basically everything's custom. Even then, the work he's put into making it different from the official games is astounding.
Best story: Pokémon Iridium. After suffering a massive setback, it's been practically restarted from scratch. And the new story is one of the most intriguing ideas I've ever come across.
Anyway, as for the most important awards:
Game of the Month: Pokémon Iridium. Not only does it have an amazing story, but it also has very good custom sprites, tiles and scripts. What more could you want?
Developer of the Month: OmegaGroudon. I mentioned most of the reasons already, but now that he's becoming pretty good at scripting, I can see Raptor being one of the best fangames ever!
