Smogon and PokeRealm have different tournaments that do not use their tournament scripts.
A PokeCommunity admin makes a board for the tourney registration threads, and we make a schedule. Registration threads are created and people post there to enter. 10 minutes before the registration time, a moderator will close the thread. At the specific times, the tournaments will be held on NB, the brackets will be posted in the locked thread by a mod, and we will have tournaments. This is how we would do these tournaments. Each metagame may have tournaments, as listed on the schedule.
Why can't PC have a tourney? Because we don't have a NetBattle server.
Well I am here to fix that. On the Server Registry, I run a server known as Pokemon Defender. If we need a server to host the tournaments, there is our server.
This server is being run from a personal computer, unlike Smogon or PokeRealm. For that reason, I may have slightly more server errors than Smogon, but I am less vulnerable to a DDoS; my PC has a proxy connection and firewalls to prevent a DDoS.
Along with volunteering a server for this, I will also volunteer to be a tournament director. I could also create tier lists for PokeCommunity to insure fair competition. My server should be reliable enough for this. To be a tournament director, I need to be a moderator.
