Closing this thread will do you know good because the seeds have been planted.

PC is getting to far from its original roots and I am sick of it, I posted these kinds of threads in the past but all that happens is some Admin or S-Mod tell me there working on it (which no progress I see after 3-4 Months) and it gets locked.

Well enough is enough, we the members want to be heard we ain't gonna take your petty short replys.

Make PC better if not then the death of PC is in your hands.

There is a reason you see alot of pokemon boards branching off of PC, people here say they are copying but they are merely doing what PC did in the past just not following all those stupid mistakes.

We went from a freaking huge staff fight, to a huge gay activism fight, to a forum(s) just aren't always qualified enough.

So stop giving us answers that your working on it because frankly no one really cares we want to see action not empty promises.

But like Andy told me once "The staff makes the decisions that are best for PC, we don't need members telling us what to do", well Andy I don't think your approach is really working ;)

But hey banning the people who get in your way like JKaizer must be really helping your cause, and people why PokeBoard made such a big racket.

    VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

    LOL steve i made a feedback :P

so lets hear some details and specifics on what you all think needs to be different and / or improved.

we want PC to be a fun and happy place for any and ALL Pokemon fans to come and hang out.

    First of all,

Look at the feedback forum they are basically locked, that is deffiantly not a good sign and shows that not all the staff are letting the members be heard.

We all know modship isn't as honorable and rare like it used to be, and we have many accusations and uprisings over people's modships who some find unqualified.

How to fix Modships: People who would like to apply should send in a applications (a simple vB hack). And a panel of people who are not only staff at PC but maybe the IRC community (#PocketMonsters) also help decide to people's friends don't always get in.

And the banning, seriously what grounds is JKaizer really banned on and numerous others. How are we a fair system if people are banned for speaking their opinion which they should have the right to do. And if someone gets hurt feelings then settle that outside of PC, we don't need that drama.

The 25 letters rule, you should make some of the threads without is,like guess that pokemon or add the next 5 words, rate somthing of the user above...We anyway don't get a posts incrisment.
Mwar, you kidding? That 25 char thing is so easy to get around... I use it all the time in Funtime, mwar.

That and a little thing called putting more words in your post helps ^_^

Well... I do agree that 25 characters is a bit stretchy, but that's another matter.

Another point to Tony. Modship is supposed to be about the honour involved, but, quite frankly, it isn't any more. We're also getting too many inexperienced mods. I mean, I know everybody is supposed to start moderating somewhere, but on a board with over 1.1 million posts and 8,000 members? I don't think so.

Im kind of confused what you mean Tyler, but letmee tell you something way back in May of 2004. You had to be a member for at least 1-2 Months before even being CONSIDERED a mod.

Now we get second rate mods, I believe one of the last good mods I saw get modded in WD was Kip-Kip and lets not even go into the whole WD Mod war thing ~_~

Personally I think WD is going to get more and more spammy then ever before :P

well you know, we do try to pick mods that know the subject area and at least have a clue about whats ok or not here on PC...

we're all human (well most of us anyway) so we make mistakes.. you know PC has grown much faster then planed for and a lot of the things we've (the upper staff) done are hit and miss guesses..

we can use this thread to find out what we may have missed and what really needs to be fixed in your, the members, eyes.

I thought modship was a democratic decision? So basically, your entire upper staff team made several mistakes all at the same time?

Tony- No no, you can be a member for over a year and still be a complete n00b when it comes to modding.

    By request.

I think PC needs to think about what it's done in the past and try to fix the mistakes. Everyone's made them, including myself [why do you think I'm on this account], and if no one admits up to them then they can't be fixed.

I've said it over and over, and I'll say it again: some of the staff choices just aren't the best ones. From my point of view, and quite a few others [some staff included], a lot of promotion is based of friendship. If you befriend the upper staff, you get promoted. That seems to be a horrid trend here.

But also, it's the entire atmosphere. All the locked threads here in Q&F... back when I was a moderator here, S-Kun yelled at me if I locked too many. And now they're all locked, which looks really bad - as if the staff don't care anything for the member's thoughts.

...Meh. That most likely made no sense at 2:15 AM... happy now Richie?

Edit: And Richie, I'd appreciate if you didn't bring me into these.

Modship is based on friendship with the upperstaff so I wouldn't call that democratic XD

And yeah people can be here for over a year and still be n00b's but hey thats how the cookie crumbles :P

Edit: Sorry Greg, but your the perfect example on how the upperstaff can make some bad decisions. And surely if you can forgive Evan (Maca) for impersonating a Admin and getting people's passwords, you can forgive him......

Politically motivated? I will let you be the judge

One point for Greg, and that's probably the most intelligent thing I've heard so far.

    So, so true.

hey even the greatest staffer can be wrong about a person or 10....

if there's stuff wrong, from all you members point of view, we would really like to address them, fix whats broke, and perhaps move PC in to the future.

Yeah so Steve deffiantly reevaluate all the banned members because I suspect some of those people banned were banned for the wrong reasons.

But Steve, that's where the problem lies... every time we make some sort of step in the right direction, one of the upper staff steps in and smashes it to pieces. And besides, with the way that the system works, our opinions literally mean jack all.

I would suggest you re-evaluate the staff.

Take a look at relationships between staff members, and I can almost guarentee that you'll find a lot of the recent promotions have "connections/friends" in the upper powers. Your upper staff may not realize it, but everyone else is: friendship = promotions

When I brought this point up to a friend I got this responce:
I don't know why I bother anyway... I've tried my hardest to earn a higher position so I could turn it around, yet Claire/Jorge and others talk down to me like I have to literally lick their asses clean before they'll even consider.

as someone who just started posting here, but who posts on other unrelated boards, i'd just like to comment on the fact that there seem to be WAY too many forums and subforums. i've had several threads moved and once that happens it basically shuts down the responses, many times without the questions i had being answered. also, people's signatures seem to be REALLY long for some reason, i think that's kinda dumb, but i guess there's nothing that can really be done about that =P
