I was thinking about how many people have actually read the rules. Or do they just assume what the rules are and post on their merry way. And I thought, why not make reading the rules rewarding or even god forbid, fun. I thought why not have something similar to a quiz where questions about the rules and posted and members can go and answer them.

I wouldn't matter if they didn't know the answer and looked it up, because that would be a win anyway because they'd be learning the rules. You could maybe have an emblem prize to make it enticing.

Does this idea have any worth to it or has it already been suggested and failed?

If it was optional and not forced upon or required to join, then I'm game. lol A lot of people might fail it, but that's hilarious.

As long as it's not like forced upon people, I'd be game as well. Rewarding a perfect or near-perfect score with an emblem sounds simple enough, too; plus tons of people are in things for emblems so having them as rewards for something like this sounds productive. :)

This is how I see it too. People are always wanting emblems, so why not give an easy opportunity to give them out?

Plus, it'd test us on something that we all should know. But then, rules are common sense. But, you need to somehow disable browser functionality so people just don't go to the FAQ and get a perfect score with ease.

This is exactly my take on it, which I'm assuming you didn't see in the original post. Knowing where to find a rule is almost as good as having it memorized.

    Agreed with Toujours.

The whole point of this would be that they're looking at the rules. As long as it's not mandatory I would be okay with something like this being made... might even fit in somewhere in NU/W.
