Pennies and nickels and dimes, oh my!

I hate pennies. Usually if there's a donation jar or something at the register I'll just stick them in there if I get pennies back as change.

I don't mind dimes and nickels as much since at least you can still use them in vending machines. Still I don't like that my wallet really has no place to put coins :/

I hardly ever accept change when someone gives it to me at a store or something. They're so pointless, especially in today's world where most people pay things with credit/debit cards.

Coins are great! But in that statement, I'm referring only to coins from UK currency as they're the only ones that make sense to me. You've got your penny (1p), 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 and they're all designed differently and made from corresponding materials that has an internal logic. 1-2p are bronze-based and circular; 5-50p are silver based and different shapes and sizes depending on how large they are 5p is a tiny circle whereas 50p is a larger heptagon), £1 and £2 are gold-based and the mofos of the coin world. So, I love UK coins.

Coins from other currencies, on teh other hand, I really don't care for. I've just come back from the US/Japan, and I still got confused whenever I fumbled through my pocket and tried to work out how much change I have. For one thing, in the US, the coins are all the same colour and shape, but the 5 cent is bigger than the 10 cent which I imagine is fine for people who use them on a regular basis but certainly confused THIS tourist and now I'm beginning to sound like a crazy person so I'll stop talking now kthxbai!
