I'm sorry if there is a topic like this.

PETA (Pei-Ta, Peh-Ta, Pee-Ta, whatever.) decided to release a game as an answer to Super Mario 3D Land wearing a Tanuki suit (TAH-NOO-KEE, NOT TAH-NUH-KEE!) Known as Mario Kills Tanooki. You are a Racoon dog that got skinned alive by Mario so that he can fly. Your main objective is to catch Mario to get your fur back.

Ok, seriously. What the bloody hell, PETA!

Isn't this about 23 three years late considering we already had the Tanooki suit as well as the Frog Suit... Btw <3ing the game thus far(Super Mario 3DLand that is).

Oh PETA! You and your wannabe fame...

Seriously though PETA, we Nintendo fans are tired of you. At this point, most people know what you did to the animals that you "saved" from those shelters. I support the fact that you want to save animals, but doing it through violence and death is unacceptable. And this? This is a pathetic attempt at fame by ripping off a video game franchise. Honestly, I thought you learned your lesson after your responses to Pokemon. Know what that did for Nintendo? Give them the inspiration for a villianous team in Pokemon Black and White.

Well, I'm done here. Just wish that people who are a part/ support PETA would see that little rant above. BRING ON THE FLAMES!

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad that they are stooping so low.

Haha, I wonder who they got to actually make the game. It's actually pretty addicting.

Oh hey, I remember when this first hit the internet.

I'm just going to throw this out there guys. This looks like a publicity stunt. How /else/ are they supposed to get people talking about saving Tanooki racoons when we've arguably got more pressing things to be on the news if they don't do something insane like this?

It is kinda.... But it honestly creeped me out and made me a bit sick... (Also made me want to play Mario 3 purely out of spite but whatevs. XD)

But you're right, it would be amusing to know who made it.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I very much agree. It is a publicity stunt, but what a lot of people are doing is showing Mario getting the Tanuki suit and then asking where in that he hunted down, killed and skinned an innocent little animal for the fun of it.... So, considering they have nothing to go off of after "Oh hey, these share a name IT MUST BE AN ACTUAL TANUKI SKIN" But as stated above, I have yet to hear complaints on the following...

So yeah. I have to say this is all for publicity.

Absolutely hilarious. This is why I love PETA. Like not because I support them, but because their publicity stunts are just ridiculous yet entertaining.

YES AFTER LIKE 20 MINUTES I WON THE GAME HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAA.

But if we were to follow all these kind of things we would pretty much make childhood boring and "Brick in the wall" like. I mean we'd have to get rid of Choa's in Sonic, Pokemon, Digimon, Whack a Mole etc.

Creepy. See the video on the left. The tanokii's head is so bloody and disturbing....

Haha that's so pathetic. xD Someone should tell PETA that everything that goes on in that game isn't real. I mean, come on, raccoons don't even fly. :cer_tongue: They can't fly, right? o.O

I was tempted to get a picture of a racoon splat on the road and say, "Guess not."

Really PETA? First Pokémon now this? I pity you People Eating Tasty Animals.

It's funny how they complain about it now, when it was done back on the NES SMB3 as well...

Before I say anything else- call me stupid, crazy, or lazy- but I must ask this question:

    WHO THE HELL IS PETA!?!?!

I know nothing about them, except that Family Guy made fun of them once. They sound horrible, and should be sued for their crimes-if any-and for stealing from Nintendo.

    People for the
    Ethical
    Treatment of
    Animals

They're an animals rights support group. They get a lot of flak for caring more for animals than people, and for hypocritical things such as how many animals they kill a year and for pulling publicity stunts such as this.
