"Backup plan!" Brook heard Kitsunebi yell "You all run away! I'll guide the bear somewhere else!" he blew some fire at the bear. "Hey bear! I can take you!" Brooklyn was somewhat dumbfounded as she along with the kids watched Kitsunebi lead the bear away from them and out the cave "Come on! If you can catch me, I'll give you a free shot!" he taunted.

While Jake ran over to her and motioned for the kids to follow him as he lead them out the cave and Brooklyn felt a little tick in her eye twitch "How come they seem to understand him fine, but they looked absolutely retarded, when I tried to lead them out of here" her eyes narrowed slightly before she shook her head and sighed "This is so tedious...."

Brooklyn sat on the cold stone floor, boredly drawing swirls on the ground, awaiting for Kitsunebi and Jake to return, she glanced briefly at Chris "He really took one for the team... poor guy" she frowned slightly "At least he got knocked out for a good reason, I was stuck babysitting brats and almost getting mauled by a Bear just for running into his leg" she snorted lightly and shook her head "Ridiculous"

"Before you ask, no, nothing happened while I was there. However, the kids are now safe at home, so we don't have to worry about them again. Anyways, how did you get rid of that bear? Aw, whatever, I don't care, I'm going to sleep. Good night." After saying this, Jake promptly found the softest place in the cave, and laid down. Then with one eye open, he said, "And don't wake me up unless you have some food." then he drifted asleep.

"I'm not even gonna comment" she thought, liding her eyes in an annoyed manner "I'm fine by the way, thanks for asking." Chis was awake, she smiled lightly as his comment before she preoccupied herself with squiggling things on the ground "Brook, you okay?" she glanced at Chris, who was rubbing his cheeks in a circular motion with his front paws and gave a slight smile "Yeah... I think I'll be alright. The more important thing here is, are you okay?"

"I mean... getting hit by a bear doesn't sound pleasant at all" she scrunched up her face in a sour expression at the thought "It sounds extremely painful...."

"Yeah... I think I'll be alright. The more important thing here is, are you okay?" She replied with a slight smile before continuing. "I mean... getting hit by a bear doesn't sound pleasant at all" her face formed a sour expression at the thought "It sounds extremely painful...."

"I'm good. Could be worse I guess." Chris shrugged, trying to play off the pain in his cheeks and tail while continuing to rub his cheeks. It was true too. He had no doubt that if he had been thrown into a wall when he was a human, he would've at least have broken a few bones or worse. For a better lack of words, his Pikachu body was a lot more… durable.

But aside from the pain, something else filled Chris mind, and it had been nagging him for a while. He stopped rubbing his cheeks for a moment, crossing his arms. "But that's not important right now." His ears twitched as he continued. " I just want to… well, figure out how the hell any of this happened." He instinctively cocked his head sideways. " I mean, people don't just turn into Pokémon for no reason…So can you think of anything, you know, weird that happened?"

[FONT=&quot] (OOC: Yeah. It's really short... i know. But I still feel a bit concussed (is that a word??) and can't think, so cut me some slack. :))

"I'm good. Could be worse I guess." Chris shrugged, she watched as he stopped rubbing his cheeks for a moment and crossed his arms. "But that's not important right now." His ears twitched as he continued. " I just want to… well, figure out how the hell any of this happened." He cocked his head sideways. " I mean, people don't just turn into Pokémon for no reason…So can you think of anything, you know, weird that happened?" Brook brought a paw to her chin and began rubbing it back and forth thoughtfully as she tried to remember anything strange that happened before she got turned "Something weird..." she trailed off, recalling the events that lead up to their current situation "I remember a receiving a package... in the mail!"

"Yeah!" she thought about that strange package that was addressed to her "It didn't have a sender, and I didn't see any tags, but when I opened the box, a smaller box was in it, and it had instructions on it" Brooklyn mimicked Chris and cocked her head to the side "I can't really recall what the instructions said, but I remember a flash of light and then I found myself waking up in a crate and I had a tail sprouting from my backside..." she frowned slightly "This feels like the plot to some fanfiction on FF.net" she blinked "And we're like the main characters" her eyes widened "And there's some type of goal we have to complete or something..." she trailed off briefly before narrowing her eyes a bit "Or maybe Karma just hates us and this is payback..." she shrugged unsurely "I mean, we've already been attacked twice, no thanks to Snoozy over there" she pointed her paw at the sleeping Jake.

Brook brought a paw to her chin and began rubbing it back and forth. "Something weird..." she trailed off, obviously thinking really hard about this. "I remember a receiving a package... in the mail!"

"Yeah!" she exclaimed "It didn't have a sender, and I didn't see any tags, but when I opened the box, a smaller box was in it, and it had instructions on it" Brooklyn turned her head to the side "I can't really recall what the instructions said, but I remember a flash of light and then I found myself waking up in a crate and I had a tail sprouting from my backside..."

Chris froze for a second as her words triggered the earlier events to replay in his head. Throughout all of the shock and excitement of being turned into a Pokemon and being chased, he had completely forgotten about the box and the ship. The box had to be the cause of all this. What was the name on the box again? H.T.P. or something? He turned his head sideways again. As far as he could remember, there was no company named H.T.P. so where did it come from?

As he pondered the situation, Brook frowned slightly "This feels like the plot to some fanfiction on FF.net, and we're like the main characters!" Chris shot her a strange look, but she much have not have seen it because she continued on. "And there's some type of goal we have to complete or something..." she trailed off briefly before narrowing her eyes a bit "Or maybe Karma just hates us and this is payback..." she shrugged unsurely "I mean, we've already been attacked twice, no thanks to Snoozy over there" she pointed her paw at the sleeping Jake.

Chris couldn't help but smile at Brooks comment. "Well, according to you, maybe he's a part of our 'bad karma'." He chuckled lightly, before pausing for a moment. Suddenly, his stomach growled a lot louder then he would've liked. He looked away from Brook. For once, he was glad he had red cheeks and fur, because right now, he was probably blushing. "Uh…ok then..." He stammered, quickly trying to shake it off and placing a paw behind his head."I'm gonna go look for some food or something. You coming?"

"Oh crap."

Kitsunebi didn't want to admit to himself he was lost....but he was lost. All he could smell was the scent of the bear he had just taken out. He couldn't hear anything except for the occasional stalagmite drip, and he began growing tired.

"I'm not lost...I'm not lost..." he said to himself, looking for anything familiar. Eventually, his fatigue got the better of him, and he settled down to nap.

He was awakened shortly after by the sound of footsteps.

"Huh?" Kitsunebi asked groggily, standing up. He looked up to see a young boy, possibly only 12, running around in the cave. He bumped into a wall, and Kitsunebi stifled a laugh. He watched the kid aimlessly amble about. He then walked over to Kitsunebi. Kitsunebi stood where he was and watched the kid walk right past him and bump into another wall. This time, Vulpix let out a loud laugh.

"Aha! A Pokemon!" The kid said, and he reached into his pocket.

"Go, Geodude!" he said, throwing a small ball. The ball opened, and a red light came out as a rock with arms appeared.

"Well, hey there foxy! How you doin'?" the Geodude said.

"Ummm....I'm a dood, dood." Kitsunebi said, frustrated already with the stone.

"Geodude! Use rock throw!" The boy shouted, pointing at Kitsunebi.

"Sorry I gotta do this sweetie," the Geodude said, picking up a large boulder.

"Not a chick!" Kitsunebi said, and roared at the Geodude, as if to prove his manhood. The Geodude backed up a bit, before fleeing in the other direction.

"Ah! Geodude! Come back!" The boy said, running after the Geodude.

"Call me a girl, will ya?" Kitsunebi said back, headed off further into the cave.

*****

After another 30 minutes, Kitsunebi felt a ping in his stomach.

"Man...I haven't eaten anything..." he grumbled, trudging along. He looked up and swore he saw a light. He practically lept in join.

"The end of the frickin' tunnel!!!!" He ran as fast as he could for the exit. He looked out onto a grassy clearing. He saw 2 large berry trees.

"Oh, praise our Lord in Heaven..." he said before devouring a berry that had fallen on the ground.

Well, according to you, maybe he's a part of our 'bad karma'." Chis laughed lightly before pausing. Then suddenly his stomach rumbled loudly, causing her to snap her gaze towards him, just as he looked away from her "Hehe he's embarrassed" she smiled widely, watching as he tried to play it off and placing a paw behind his head "I'm gonna go look for some food or something. You coming?" Brooklyn glanced around the damp cave, having seen no signs of Kitsunebi "Where the heck did he run off to" she wondered before glancing at the snoozing Jake "And miss out on all this excitement?" she exclaimed in mock shock with lidded eyes before she grabbed onto Chris' paw and began dragging him out the cave "Lets go find some food, I'm pretty sure your starving" she giggled, thinking back to a few moment ago when his stomach growled loudly "Nevermind, I know your starving."

"Umm what exactly do Pokemon eat?" Brook had dragged Chris not too far from the cave, it was still within sight, but they were a pretty good distance away. She glanced around the tree filled area that had weird shaped berries hanging from their branches "You think this place has a restaurant or something... I'd kill for a Chili Cheese Burger and some Fries... or Chinese" Brooklyn rubbed her stomach as she thought about the leftovers sitting in their fridge, before her attention snapped back to the berries hanging from the branches high in the tree above.

"Well... since we can't have take out, I guess we'll have to eat these" she walked near the base of the tree, that had a few berries that had fallen from it, lying haphazardly on the ground. Some were blue, others were peach colored, some looked like blue strawberries and one that looked like a prickly tomato (Oran. Pecha. Rawst.Tamato. Respectively) Brooklyn glanced at the blue orange looking berry on the ground and picked it up, sniffing it cautiously, before she took a tiny bite out of the fruit. Brooklyn's eyes went wide when she felt a burst of flavor explode in her mouth, ranging from spicy, to sour, bitter, than sweet "Oh my god this is good! Chris, you gotta try this" she walked over to him and held up the blue berry "Its... Its like a party in my mouth."

Brooklyn glanced around the cave for a moment before responding. "And miss out on all this excitement?" she exclaimed in mock shock with lidded eyes before she grabbed onto Chris' paw and began dragging him out the cave "Lets go find some food, I'm pretty sure your starving." She paused for a moment, "Never mind, I know your starving."

"Umm what exactly do Pokemon eat?" Brook had dragged Chris outside the cave. "You think this place has a restaurant or something... I'd kill for a Chili Cheese Burger and some Fries... or Chinese"

"That's not helping… at all." Chris sighed under his breath, suppressing another growl from his stomach. He could feel his ears flatten as he sighed.

"Well... since we can't have take out, I guess we'll have to eat these" she walked near the base of a tree which had a few berries on the ground below it, lying scattered on the ground. Some were blue, others were peach colored, and then there were some that looked like a prickly tomato. Brooklyn picked up a strange looking blue one off the ground. She sniffed it cautiously, before she took a tiny bite out of the fruit. Brooklyn's eyes went wide and she froze for a moment. Chris gave her a strange look. "Oh my god this is good!" She suddenly exclaimed. "Chris, you gotta try this!" she walked over to him and held up the blue berry "It's... It's like a party in my mouth."

Chris took the berry grasped it in between his two paws, slowly turning it around. It looked like a giant oversized blueberry. He gave Brook a wary look. Well, if she said it was good… Cautiously, Chris brought it up to his mouth and took a bite. Sour, sweet, spicy, and bitter flavors all flooded into his mouth. "This… This is amazing!" he yelled out as his eyes widened. He quickly broke the berry in half, giving part of it back to Brook before scarfing down his half. He then rapidly ran over to the tree, eager to try another. The first one he saw was the prickly-tomato looking one, and really, it looked the most appetizing. Lifting it onto his foot like a mini soccer ball, he expertly flicked it up and caught it between his front two paws. Without even thinking, he took a bite out of the fruit.

He immediately froze, and for a moment, he thought he was going to spontaneously combust. The berry was extremely spicy, like a Jalapeno pepper, but at the same time, extremely delicious. Even as a human he liked spicy food, but this was beyond words. His eyes watered as he took another bite. "This one is even better!" He cried out, picking another one up and chowing down. "But still, Chinese would be better."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In a few moments, Chris had eaten his fill. "Dang… That was good." he said, happy that his stomach wouldn't be growling any time soon. "You think we should bring so of this back to Jake?" Chris asked, glancing over at Brook. "Actually, forget that. He'd probably moan about something, then run off and find a giant, killer animal that shoots fire out of its eyes."

"Comon, Twig! It came from over here!"

Chris' ears instinctively perked up and he turned to the source of the noise. "You hear that?" He asked Brook, looking beyond the trees to where the noise came from.

All of a sudden, a kid, probably around the age of 14, jumped through the brush. He was wearing some sort of black visor, a brown tee-shirt with a red circle design on the front, and a pair of ragged blue jeans. Beside the kid stood a turtle-like creature. It had a brown shell and four stubby legs, all the general things a turtle should had. However, the strangest thing was perhaps the twig sticking out of the top of its skull.

"See! Told ya I heard some Pokémon!" The kid bragged in an overconfident manner while looking at the two.

"Yo! Can you give us some help?!" Chris shouted, somewhat happy that they had found someone.

"That's weird…" The kid mumbled. "A Pikachu and Smeargle out here?" A strange grin fell over his face. "What Luck! Twig, Use Razor Leaf!"

Without a word, the Pokemon jumped up into the air before, somehow, shooting multiple leaves off of the top of its head and at the pair. Although the leaves were poorly aimed, mostly flying above the pair, one managed to go astray, getting a lucky hit on Chris' tail.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, grabbing his tail to observe the wound. It wasn't deep or deadly, more like a paper cut, but still stung. He swallowed as he imagined getting hit with 20+ of the razor sharp leaves.
"Why the hell are you attacking us!?" Chris yelled, taking a step towards the boy, sparks flying off of his cheeks.

"Looks like he's got some fight in him!" the kid shouted, pulling something that looked like a half-red baseball off of his belt. But before Chris had a chance to speculate what it was, the kid once again issued commands. "Twig! Razor Leaf, again!"

Once again, the Pokemon solemnly jumped up into the air, and again fired multiple leaves at the two. Without even thinking, Chris shot bolts of electricity at the leaves, stopping some of them in mid-air while others zoomed over their heads.

"Brook! Run or fight?!" He yelled as he stared down his opponent.

(OOC: he he he. Chris doesn't know humans can't understand PokeTalk :))

Kitsunebi relaxed as his he looked at his bulging belly.

"What a feast!" he said. He had no idea what kinds of berries they were, they were all so strange. But he had devoured a rather citrus-like berry, and he felt so good afterwards. He decided he might as well take one for the road, and picked up a blue one. He put nestled between his tails and his back, and it stayed nicely. He got up and stretched. He felt nice and refreshed, and started to walk off. He looked over and saw some more berries and thought about bringing them back to the others. He smiled, thinking of how good of a person he was. He was about to nab a rather delicious looking berry, when it mysteriously was cut in half! He looked at the ground at the ruined berry, and then in the direction of where the cut may have come from. He saw a boy, about 14 and a small green turtle just landing from a jump. He then saw a Pikachu hold it's tail.

"Wait....I'd recognize that Pikachu anywhere!" Kitsunebi said to himself. They were about 20 feet down; much too far to jump. He forgot about the berries he had stashed in his tails and began running through the forest, finding the quickest route to them. He looked back to see the turtle jump into the air. He could now see that it was shooting sharp green leaves. He ran even faster, and saw they were just a bit from a large clearing. But there was a large river...and he didn't like the idea of water.

"Can I clear it?" he said, going back a few paces. He then sprang and jumped, and he thought he had made it. Turns out he didn't, and he splashed into the river. He thrashed about, and it felt like the water was FAR too cold for normal. It must be because of his fire.

'I have to get out of the water!' he thought, swimming up for the surface. He swam as fast as he could (which was like a doggy paddle), and was about to break the surface when something grabbed him. He looked down to see a black and blue fish with sharp teeth bite at him. He was so close to the surface! He thrashed about, trying to get free, and the fish tried to pull him in deeper. He then finally managed to over power the fish and at least break the surface, the oxygen trying to soothe his burning lungs. He swam for where the Pokemon were, and flopped onto the bank, falling unconcious.

Brooklyn watched as Chris studied the berry briefly before giving her a wary look, he then cautiously bought it to his mouth and took a bite, a slow smile spread on her face as she watched his face contort into different expressions, upon tasting the burst of flavor "This… This is amazing!" he yelled out as his eyes widened "Hehe told him it was good" she thought with a toothy grin. Chris then broke the berry in half, giving part of it back to Brook before scarfing down his portion and then running over to the tree, looking eager to try the others "He's like a kid in a candy store" Brooklyn walked over towards the tree as well and picked up the blue strawberry looking berry and the peach colored one, sniffing them both before glancing at Chris, who had picked up the prickly tomato looking one and lifted it on his foot, resembling a soccer player "Does he play soccer?" she wondered, watching as he flicked it up and caught with his paws, biting into it without a moments notice.

Chris froze upon biting it and Brooklyn looked worried "I hope it wasn't poisoned or something!" Chis seemed fine though, aside from his eyes watering "This one is even better!" He cried out, picking another one up and chowing down. "But still, Chinese would be better." Brook laughed and nodded before she took a bite out of the blue strawberry, it had an extremely bitter taste and she felt her face scrunch up at the flavor it left on her tongue "Maybe this one will taste better" she mumbled taking a bit of the peach one, it was sweet and juicy, reminding her of a peach "Ohhh its so gooooood!" she exclaimed popping the sweet one in her mouth and swallowing it "Hmm I guess I'll try that red one next." Brooklyn held the berry in her paw, running her fingers over the rough surface "Looks like one of those spiked balls you see back in mid-evil days..." she tossed it up in the air a few times "pretty light though..." Brooklyn bought the fruit up to her mouth and bit into it.

Much like Chris, she froze upon biting into it. "HOT!!!" Brook's eyes went wide as she felt her mouth go aflame and her eyes watered "Its so hooottt" she exclaimed hopping up and down on one foot before spiting out whatever she had chewed, disgusting and unladylike it may be, but her tongue was on fire here! She briefly wondered how Chris was able to stand the heat before she picked up the peach and orange looking berries, popping both of them in her mouth, happy the combined taste of both the berries and their juices that extinguished the 'flames' in her mouth "I think I like the peach and orange looking berries the best" she mumbled glaring at the tomato looking berry, blushing in embarrassment when she heard Chris laughing at her "Can't stand the heat?" his eyes twinkled in amusement.

"Ohh hush you" she stuck her tongue out at him and looked away, nibbling on one of the peach berries.

+-+-+-+-+

It didn't take long for the two to finish eating to their hearts content "Dang… That was good." she heard Chris say "Yeah, I'm stuffed" Brook had nodded and pat her belly with a grin "You think we should bring so of this back to Jake?" Chris asked, glancing at her. "Actually, forget that. He'd probably moan about something, then run off and find a giant, killer animal that shoots fire out of its eyes." Brooklyn looked thoughtful, with a wry expression looming on her face "Please don't jinx us... I don't want to run into any more trouble"

"C'mon, Twig! It came from over here!"

"Oh eff me!" Brook cursed softly under her breath, slapping a hand to her head while Chris' ears instinctively perked up and he turned to the source of the noise. "You hear that?" He asked her, looking beyond the trees to where the noise came from. "I wonder what it is" she mumbled standing on her feet, she had a feeling something bad was about to happen. And sure enough, a kid, probably around the age of 14, jumped through the brush.

"What the heck is that?"

"See! Told ya I heard some Pokémon!" the boy exclaimed in a cocky manner.

"Yo! Can you give us some help?!" Chris shouted and Brooklyn looked at him with raised brows, didn't he know humans couldn't understand them. Brook opened her mouth, about to respond, but the boy cut her off, mumbling to himself about how weird it was to fine a Smeargle and Pikachu out here, before he commanded the twig having turtle to attack them "What Luck! Twig, Use Razor Leaf!" Without a word, the Pokemon jumped up into the air before, somehow, shooting multiple leaves off of the top of its head and at the pair. Although the leaves were poorly aimed, mostly flying above the pair, one managed to go astray, getting a lucky hit on Chris' tail.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, grabbing his tail to observe the wound. It didn't look deep or anything deadly, more like a paper cut "Why the hell are you attacking us!?" Chris yelled, taking a step towards the boy, sparks flying off of his cheeks."I'll take his response as a no... he doesn't know they can't understand us" Brooklyn felt her eyes narrow slightly as she glared at Twig "Looks like he's got some fight in him!" the kid shouted, pulling something that looked like a half-red baseball off of his belt.

Brooklyn glance at Chris briefly before looking back at the boy and his Pokemon "Okay... its two-on-one if we don't fight the boy... but I don't know how to fight like a Pokemon... heck, I don't even know how to fight!" she thought about those giant bee's from earlier "I managed to copy that bee's attack, but after I painting it with my tail..." she glanced at her hands, thinking back to how they once glowed an ominous purple, but they looked normal now "Maybe if I paint this one with my tail... I can copy his move' too! Since... I don't know how to do that other attack"

Clenching her fists tightly Brook glared at Twig before nodding "We'll fight Chris! And I think I know how to beat him, I'll just copy his move and use it against him!" with that said, she charged at Twig on all fours, her tail erect and ready "Twig, Dodge and use Bite" Twig said nothing, but nodded and ran at Brooklyn, stepping to the side as she ran, stumbling past him, before Twig whirled around and chomped hard on her tail "Yeowch!!!" Brooklyn howled, jumping a few feet in the air "Let go of my tail!" she exclaimed grabbing onto the end that wasn't in its mouth and started pulling "Sorry, I can't! Master's orders!" Twig's voice was muffled as he chomped down harder on Brooklyn's tail, causing her to wince "Let her go!" she heard a painful shout and felt the pressure from her tail being lifted "You okay Brook?"

It was Chris, he was standing a few feet away, his cheeks sparking, a scowl on his face, she glanced at Twig, who was shaking his head, bits of electricity running along his body "He shocked him!" she watched with wide eyes as the boy commanded Twig to Tackle Chris, but he stood his ground and produced another shower of sparks, that the turtle had dodged before ramming his head into Chris's stomach, sending him flying back "Chris!" Brooklyn growled and ran over to him, standing in front of her friend protectively, he hadn't been knocked out this time, but that tackle to the stomach looked like it hurt, he was rubbing his stomach and wincing, she hoped it wouldn't leave a bruise "Leave him alone!" the boy that was commanding Twig gave a bark of laughter "Alright, that's one down, lets finish the Smeargle off, use Bite Twig!"

Twig charged at Brooklyn, who glared at Twig and stood her ground, she felt it again... that sensation, that warm feeling. Glancing at her hands, Brooklyn saw that they were glowing that threatening purple again, but this time it seemed darker "It got darker... does that mean its stronger?" shaking away her thoughts, Brook waited for Twig to get closer, before she side stepped him and acted purely on instinct, jabbing at the turtle 4 times, sending it tumbling back at its masters feet "Twig! Are you okay!?" Twig groaned and slowly got up, wincing slightly as it struggled to stand "Crap, that Poison Jab poisoned you!" Brook blinked as she glanced at her glowing hands "Poison Jab.Is that what this attack is called..."

"Brook!"

Too engrossed with her hands, Brooklyn had failed to notice several white seed flying towards her at high speeds, her eyes widened and she froze, unsure of what to do "Get down!" someone had tackled her, causing them the tumbled out of the way in the nick of time, both she and her savior watched as the seeds slammed into a tree, exploding upon contact "Holy--!!" Brooklyn was speechless "What the heck was that, are you trying to kill us!" Chris was glaring at the boy, who seemed oblivious to what he was saying "Ch-Chris..." she swallowed before speaking, a bit shaken by that previous attack "Human's can't understand us... I don't know why, but when ever we talk, it only sounds to them like we're saying our species names"she explained, watching Chris slowly shift his glare from the boy and turning to her with wide eyes.

"Wha-What?"

Clenching her fists tightly, Brook glared for a second at Twig before nodding "We'll fight Chris! And I think I know how to beat him, I'll just copy his move and use it against him!" with that said, she charged at Twig on all fours, her tail erect and ready "Twig, Dodge and use Bite!" Twig said nothing, but nodded and ran at Brooklyn, stepping to the side as she ran, stumbling past him, before Twig whirled around and chomped hard on her tail

"Yeowch!!!" Brooklyn howled, jumping a few feet in the air "Let go of my tail!" she exclaimed grabbing onto the end that wasn't in its mouth and started pulling

"Sorry, I can't! Master's orders!" Twig's voice was muffled as he chomped down harder on Brooklyn's tail, causing her to wince even more.

"Let her go!" Chris shouted. He rapidly ran at the creature, slamming into it at top speed. As he did, he could feel electricity flow from his body to the creature. The creature let out a agonizing shout as it tumbled across the ground. Quickly, he glanced over at Brook. "You okay Brook?" He asked.

Before Brook could respond, the kid issued another command "Don't take that, Twig! Use Tackle!"

Chris turned, only to see that the turtle was back up and charging straight at him. Chris stood his ground and produced another shower of sparks from his cheeks. In a flash, he let all of the energy go, aiming at the turtle. However, the turtle-creature dodged with lightning fast reflexes (no pun intended), perhaps sensing the attack ahead of time, before ramming his head into Chris's stomach, successfully knocking the wind out of him. Chris flew back, hitting the ground hard. Once he stopped, he immediately lifted himself onto all fours, trying to catch his breath.

"Chris!" Brooklyn growled. Chris wearily looked up to see her standing above him. Luckily, hadn't been knocked out this time, but that tackle attack still hurt. He blinked a few times, trying to block out the pain before slowly lifting himself up onto his back two legs. His stomach hurt as he did so, much like a bruise, causing him to wince. Hopefully, it wouldn't leave one. "Leave him alone!" Brook again growled, this time at the boy.

The boy that was commanding Twig gave a bark of laughter "Alright, that's one down, lets finish the Smeargle off. Use Bite, Twig!"

Twig charged at Brooklyn, who, much like Chris only moments before stood her ground. <I got to help her, she might-> Chris thought, taking a step at Brook. However, another pain forced him onto the ground, and now was forced to watch helplessly as Twig charged at Brook with full speed. Suddenly, a dark purple glow began to emit from Brooks hands just as the turtle got closer. Just as it was about to make impact, Brook side-stepped past the charging turtle, jabbing it at least four times with her glowing fists,. <Note to self: Don't piss off Brook…> He gulped, as the turtle tumbled to the boys feet.

"Twig! Are you okay!?" Twig groaned and slowly got up, wincing slightly as it struggled to stand "Crap, that Poison Jab poisoned you!"

Chris watched the turtle slowly recover, before firing white bullet-like seeds out of it's mouth and at Brook. He quickly glanced over at her, hoping she would dodge. However, Brook was too engrossed in her hands to notice."Brook!" He yelled, hoping that she would have enough time to dodge.

She slowly looked up from her hands, and her eyes widened as she saw the seeds fly at her head. Ignoring the pain, he instinctively sprinted towards Brook at full speed. "Get down!"he shouted as he collided into Brook, narrowly missing the bullet-seeds. The seeds exploded behind them on a nearby tree causing a shower of their remaining fragments.

Now Chris was pissed. He quickly stood back up on his back legs, sparks flying off of his cheeks. "What the heck was that?! Are you trying to kill us?!" Chris growled/shouted at the boy, who seemed oblivious to what he was saying

"Ch-Chris..." Brook, stammered out, swallowing before speaking. "Human's can't understand us... I don't know why, but whenever we talk, it only sounds to them like we're saying our species names" she explained.

Chris' eyes gradually widened as he slowly turned to Brook.

"Wha… What?" his muscles untensed and a look of disbelief covered his face as the words settled into his mind. It couldn't be true. They were talking English, they had to be! At least, that's what he thought. "It can't…" he mumbled to himself. All of a sudden, his mind flashed back to when he was in the cave. When he attacked, he could've sworn he heard the word 'Chu' echo off the cave walls. He clenched his teeth together. Well, there was only one way to find out…

"Hey!" he shouted at the kid "We're human! Comon! Don't attack us!" However, the kid only stared at Chris with a strange look on his face. "Please…" Chris whispered, tears forming in his eyes.

The kid looked away from Chris and back to his Pokemon. "Almost, Twig! We'll have those Pokemon down in no time!" "Use Tackle on the Pikachu again!"

He couldn't believe it, the kid had completely blown him off, like… Chris froze for a moment and his head fell to the ground. …Like he hadn't understood him. <So… they can't understand us after all.>

Suddenly, the kid interrupted Chris' thoughts, barking out another order to Twig. "Use Tackle on the Pikachu again!"

Chris slowly brought his vision up to meet the boys eyes. <Well, so what if they can't understand me? They're trying to hurt us?!> Sparks built up around Chris' body and his cheeks, causing the clearing to glow. <Is this why I was transformed into a Pikachu?! To get thrashed by some screwed up turtle?!> Chris clamped his teeth together as anger and frustration began to build up in his body, fueling the sparks until electricity enveloped him from his ears to his tail.<No way in hell!> Not fazed by the sudden build-up in electricity, Twig continued to charge head-first at Chris. Chris looked up at the charging Pokemon, and immediately released all the energy he was building up at the turtle. Twig tried to dodge in time, but to no avail. The electrical blast hit Twig square in the head, sending it flying back to its master's feet. The Pokemon lay still for a moment before once again trying to get back up, but ultimately fell back onto the ground and closed it's eyes.

"No way! A Critical Hit?!" The kid yelled, picking up and cradling the turtle in his arms before glaring at Brook and Chris. "Dang Pokemon…" He said under his breath, just loud enough so that both of them could hear. "I'll be back for you two later…" With one last scowl, the kid turned running back through the forest.

Chris collapsed onto all fours, exhausted and dazed from the last attack. Heavily panting, he lifted himself back onto his back two legs. "F…M…L…" Chris managed to pant out, steadily balancing on his back legs. He let out a deep sigh before turning to Brook. "Help me grab some berries, we got to get back to Jake and Kitsunebi and figure out what to do next." He stumbled over to the tree and picked up some berries off the ground. "After all, we can't stay in this forest forever, especially the way things are going for us." Pausing for a moment, Chris looked up into the sky. "Attacked three times in one day… Damn, karma hates us."

(OOC: Blah. Sorry it took so long. I wrote one before this and had us following the kid to a city, but it was crap :P)

Jake was surrounded by bees and a giant bear. He couldn't seem to move, and they were getting closer. The bees stingers started to glow, and the bear dashed towards him. Just as he was about to get trampled, he let out a huge scream...

...and jerked out of his slumber. Jake looked around, but did not recognize his surroundings. It appeared to be a cave, but he hadn't been in a cave when he'd fallen asleep. Suddenly, it all came back to him. The ship, finding out that he was a pokemon, the bees, Alice and Jake, everything. It was then he noticed that there was someone else in the room. Jake turned around slowly, and saw a tan and pink cat-like pokemon with a huge tail.

"Hello," It meowed, "I'm Skittles. And you are...?"

"Jake." Jake responded in a high pitched voice. He quickly blushed, because he hadn't meant to say it like that. For some reason, he felt massively attracted to Skittles, even though it was a pokemon, and not a human. I wonder if this is a side-effect of becoming a pokemon?Jake wondered. It kind of scares me, but... she's just so beautiful!

Skittles let out a small giggle, and then said, "You're funny. Do you want to get some food? My master really likes to give wild pokemon food. She's really nice. She found me in the forest, and took me in. Now I get to do all sorts of fun stuff, and get as much food as I want! So do you want to come?"

"Umm... Sure. I'd be delighted to... umm... meet your master." Jake stuttered when he said this, and felt extremely embarassed. Even when I was human, I didn't act NEARLY as stupid as I am now! What's going on? Oh well, if I go, I get to spend some more time with Skittles. Isn't that wonderful...?

"Great! Lets get going before it gets dark, so we can see where we're going!" Skittles giggled again, and dashed off.

"Hey! Wait up!" Jake yelled, and ran after her.

"Try and catch me!" She yelled back, and ran even faster.

When Jake finally reached her, he saw that Skittles was with a human. "Good job Skittles, you lured in another one. Billy, get him!" The girl yelled, and a boy came out with a net.

"Got it sis!" Billy yelled, and tossed a net over Jake. Jake saw the net, and quickly dashed away. It just barely skimmed the back of his body. Jake heard Billy yell, "Quick! Get Skittles to use attract again!" and realized what was happening. He was being tricked into falling in love!

How the heck is that even possible? Jake wondered, But after today, I'm not sure if anything isn't possible. He continued running, but slowed down when he heard Skittles calling to him. It's a trick, it's a trick, it's a trick... He continuously thought, trying to get away from the effects of attract. He found himself back on the beach, and saw Chris and Brooklyn. Jake quickly dashed past them, not caring what would happen to them. As long as I'm away from that cursed Skittles, I don't care what happens!

"Hey! Don't run away! Skittles, use attract again!" The girl yelled.

"Why don't you want to come play with me? I just wanted to give you some food!" Skittles began to cry, and Jake felt extremely compelled to rush back to her. It was only by force of extreme willpower that Jake managed to keep away.

Damn it, how do I keep getting into these messes? Jake wondered. Wait a minute, Chris doesn't know about the attract! I've got to warn him! "Chris!" Jake yelled at the top of his lungs, "Don't fall for that pokemon! It's trying to trick you!"

(OOC: Chris and Brooklyn both grew a level!)

(OOC: I thought we were in the forest, kind of. Oh well, no harm.)
take the long way around.

"Remind me again. Was it your idea to take the long way, or mine?" Chris grinned, slowly hiking along the beach behind Brook.

Hopefully, she knew where they were going, because Chris had no clue. Maybe the last battle with the turtle had disoriented him, or maybe he was just bad with directions. But still, he wasn't sure this was a good idea, even though it was relaxing.
As Chris was just about to ask if Brook actually knew where they were going or was just wandering around lost, a greenish blur sprinted past them from behind, leaving a cloud of sand in its wake.

"Jake?" Chris asked, cocking his head to the side. He was about to make a comment along the lines of "that's weird" but ironically, that's the only time they ever saw Jake, when sleeping, complaining, or running… usually from something huge and dangerous.

Suddenly, Chris' sensitive ears picked up a noise from behind him. Fearing the worst, he quickly turned around, his cheeks sparking with electricity in preparation for an electric shock. However, when his eyes finally reached his target, it was not a giant bear or the swarm of giant bees he was expecting, but a pink and tan cat with a huge tail.

"Hello!" A she cheerily purred. As soon as he laid his eyes on her, Chris was immediately stricken by the sight. In his eyes, she was the most beautiful thing he had seen so far in this new world, and was even more stunning then the fact he had been turned into a Pikachu. She had marks which looked like dried tears, but this seemed to make her shine even more. She took a step towards Chris and gracefully meowed, "Who are you?"

Still in somewhat of a daze, Chris sheepishly realized that she was talking to him. He quickly snapped back into focus, glad that he had fur and red cheeks, because otherwise he'd be blushing. It was possible only this that kept him from babbling like an idiot. <Play it cool... Not too fast...> He thought as he first ran a paw through his hair to spike it up a bit before crossing his arms. "I'm Chris. And you?"he replied

"Oooh, Confident. I'm Skittles." She giggled lightly, drawing Chris even more into her. Suddenly, a part of Chris' mind brought up an extremely important argument about the entire situation, and his full attention was brought to it.

<Wait a sec. I can't do this! It's...well... She's a Pokemon! And I...> Chris took a quick glance to Skittles. Her green eyes seemed to glow in the light, almost as brightly as the sun. As he stared, his eyes grew big with realization. <... I am one too...>

"Chris!" Jake yelled at the top of his lungs, snapping him out of his thought. "Don't fall for that Pokemon! It's trying to trick you!"

Chris scoffed at Jake's words. <How could she be tricking me, anyways?> he thought as both himself and his thoughts turned back to Skittles.

"Maybe we can go for a walk." She again purred, she turned slowly walking to the forest that bordered the beach. "That is, if you don't have anything else to do…"

Chris immediately jumped on the offer "Hey, guys. I'm going to meet up with you later. So… uh. See ya!" He yelled back, before he turned to follow Skittles.

"Remind me again. Was it your idea to take the long way, or mine?"

"I'm not sure, but I'm starting to wish we had just went the way we came" she mumbled glancing at the seemingly never ending mass of land called the beach. "Its all that stupid kid's fault" she thought with a scowl, if he hadn't attacked us in the first place, then we'd still be stuffing our faces or back at the cave… but instead we're stuck wandering around a sandy beach.

"Bleh, even when I was human, my luck was never this bad… but so far, I've been stung, almost got mauled by a bear and just narrowly got my hide whipped by a turtle with an affinity for twigs, something is not right in the universe" Brooklyn sighed and shook her head as they continued to walk, she honestly had no clue as to where they were headed, she had assumed they would wander around until Jake or Kitsunebi found them.. or perhaps until Jake finds himself stuck in some life threatening situation that causes us to almost die in the process… for the forth time this morning.

Brooklyn glanced up at the sky, it was still as bright as day… it looked as though only a couple of hours might've passed, but she was unsure, not being trained much in survival skills and she didn't have a watch to tell her the time, but it didn't feel like the afternoon. Brook continued to walk on, deep in thought, only to snap out of it when a greenish blue blur sped past them "Jake?" she heard Chris ask and she glanced behind them, watching as he dashed like the devil himself was on his heels and this made Brook wonder what trouble did he get himself into now "That's it… if this is some ferocious beast that's out for blood, I'm tying that kid on my back and never letting him out my sight."

Both Pokémon's attention snapped to the sound of rustling bushes, Chris froze on the spot and so did she, both probably hoping the same thing "please don't let it be dangerous…" Chris was the first to turn after a few seconds and then Brooklyn followed him, turning a well, both were a bit shocked to find, not some crazed looking animal that wanted to eat them, but a tiny, not to mention extremely cute pink and tan kitten with a large tail
"Hello!" A she cheerily purred, causing Brooklyn to blink... she got a bad vibe from this kitty "Something's not right" she thought with narrowed eyes.

Brooklyn continued to watch as the cat took a step towards Chris and gracefully meowed, "Who are you?" she glanced at Chris briefly and swore she saw his cheeks get lighter "Is he blushing!?" Brook just stared before she grimaced, scrunching her nose up in a disgusted manner "Eww, isn't there like a law against this... humans don't fall in love with animals... isn't that like bestiality?" as if watching him blush wasn't bad enough, Chris had the nerve to run a hand through his yellow fur in a cool manner before crossing his arms coolly "I'm Chris. And you?" the cat giggled coyly "Oooh, Confident. I'm Skittles."

"I'm Skittles" Brooklyn mocked rolling her eyes before she felt herself scowl at the two flirty Pokémon "You have gotta be kidding me"Brooklyn had this weird urge to go knock that cat's face in and this caused her to blink "Where the heck did that come from? I'm not getting jealous am I?" she shook her head, riding herself of those thoughts "Nahh, I'm just worried about Chris is all" she nodded to herself "Yep, I'm just worried he'll make the biggest mistake of his life by committing such heinous acts"

"Chris!" Jake yelled at the top of his lungs, "Don't fall for that Pokémon! It's trying to trick you!"
"Trick him? What's he mean?" she wondered upon hearing Chris scoff at Jake and Skittle spoke up again "Maybe we can go for a walk." She purred, turning slowly and walking to the forest that bordered the beach. "That is, if you don't have anything else to do…"

Brooklyn decided to step up and say something "Well sorry to disappoint you, but actually--" she was cut off mid-sentence by Chris, who looked eager to comply with Skittle's offer "Hey, guys. I'm going to meet up with you later. So… uh. See ya!" He yelled back, before he turned to follow Skittles.

"The hell!?" Brooklyn found herself shouting and running after them, halting in front of Chris "Chris! What in the world are you doing? We've gotta get back to the cave... not go play follow the leader with some random cat! This could be a trick!" Skittles spoke up from behind her, in a somewhat annoyed manner "Will you please step aside" Brooklyn turned around to face Skittles and snarled "Back off kitty, this is my friend your trying to lure away and we have much more important things to do than play with you."

"Its alright Brook" Chris said from behind, causing her to whirl around and look at him in disbelief "Ch-Chris what the heck are you saying?" he smiled a love-struck smile, while glancing at Skittles "I'm saying I wanna hang out with Skittles for a bit and then afterwards, I'll come back" Brooklyn narrowed her eyes at Chris briefly, before she turned to glare at Skittles "alright you... what the heck did you do to him... he looks like a love sick fool"

Skittles snickered, her face contorting into a somewhat vicious grin "What, are you mad that I took your boyfriend from you?" Brooklyn scowled back "First off, he's not my boyfriend... I hardly know enough about him to even think about him like that, but he is my friend and within the short period of time I've known him, he's never acted like this before... so what the hell did you do." Skittles smiled haughtily "That's for me to know and you to never find out... now run along you ugly dog, I've got a Pikachu to bring to my master"

"Grrr" Brooklyn felt her anger getting the best of her, this cat was very irritating, with its coy little smiles and cute snickers, she didn't notice her paws started to glow that ominous purple again "the only thing that's going back to your master, is your beaten and bruised body!" Brooklyn lunged at Skittles with a shout, her paws glowing threateningly.
