  • As the title said, I'm having these issues.

    1. When I edit any text in PGE, it becomes /h3F thingy.
    2. When I import spritesheet in Pokémon Editor, the sprite becomes visually corrupted.

I'm using the latest version and these issues happen to any ROM I tried to edit.
Does it have something to do with my Windows?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't know about the text thing,
But I have a soloution for the other one.

I would recommend not using pge to import sprites,
Bc it can be really buggy. I use nse 2.0 to edit my sprites.

Edit: it could also be that you overwrite some data.
I don't think that pge says if the image/text is to big.

To be honest, the second issue isn't really my concern.
The only troublesome issue would be the first one since I often import Pokémon data file and it affects the text.

    Thank you though!

I haven't tried to import Pokemon data files yet,
I make them myself most of the time,
So I can't help you there, sorry.

(I will say if I figure it out, but only if nobody else have helped you yet.)

Looks like the Pokémon data feature isn't the main issue but the text bug itself though.

I'll try using PGE on other Windows to see if it's the cause. But if you figure it out, thanks in advance.

    EDIT 1: Problem solved.

I changed system locale to English (US) and the text bug is gone!
And you know what? The sprite bug is also gone! I don't know why but this is good!

"Sprite corruption" is likely because the sprites in the chart are mis-aligned. A sprite chart is made up of four 64x64 boxes right? Normal front/back sprites need to be in the same position as their shiny versions. If their even one pixel off you'll get weird sprites when inserting into PGE. If this isn't the issue then I have no clue sorry!
