4th Gen Phione......Manaphy's EVOLUTION????

Do you agree with my theory?

Not 100% sure, but I think it can breed as many times as you want. Why wouldn't it be able to?
 
So Manafi breeds a Fione egg that can't evolve back into Manafi. What's so complicated about that? It's just a way to give someone else a taste of Manafi's power. As for Fione itself breeding, it can breed with Ditto multiple times, but Manafi can't.
 
I really don't get it why would a pre evolution of a Pokemon not be able to evole into itself? I'm still trying to compute that

but it's not a pre-evolutions >_< it's just related to manaphy. Which is why you need to breed. I don't see anywhere on serebii that it's the pre-evolution..
 
people saying legendarys cant breed, thats only with in the pokemon game :P
I do believe ive seen an episode of pokemon with a Mother Lugia and her Baby!
All legendary pokemon are, are very rare and powerful pokemon, little is known about them, like there breeding (its also nintendos way to stop people breeding loads of legendary pokemon).

I do think its an interesting theory though that Phione and Manaphy are Male and Female and Could Strike a point why manaphy became a legendary pokemon, because all the eggs came out in one sex...so as the otehr sex died off...they are left with a load of one...and too little amount of the other to continue the genome.

Exactly. It hatches from an egg that you get when you breed a Ditto and Manaphy, and it has weaker stats than Manaphy (it even looks similar). It's a prevo. Period.

It's just a special kind of prevo.

It's not likely to be a pre-evolution as it can't evolve. It can still be a badly made version of Manaphy or something like that.

Also, Manaphy IS a legendary. It doesn't stop being a legendary just because it can breed. Legendaries are the ones you can obtain only once in the true Pokémon games (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, DIamond & Pearl) That's the correct definition of a legendary. Even if it's gotten from a spin-off game, Manaphy can only be passed to each Diamond or Pearl ONCE. Because of this, Phione is not a legendary because you can have multiple of them by breeding.

I got a Phione in GTS but no Manaphy....
I agree with Samson, its just OK
 
Yeah, I think it's just them trying to see what weird evolution/breeding patterns they can come up with.
 
In Nintendo's Japanese Pokédex, which was recently updated, Phione's evolution line is shown as "Phione" with no evos or pre-evos, as well as Manaphy, which cancels the popular theories.

Still, the one about Phione being a strange form of the Manaphy species because of breeding with Ditto rather than with another Manaphy still fits very well.
