I looked around, but I don't see one. I say its about time we have a fear thread (that's alive).

So, what are your fears, phobias, insecurities, and things you overall avoid?

I have a fear of drowning. Not hydrophobia, as I have little problems in the pool, but I avoid deep water like my life depends on it (as it usually does).

I have a slight fear of heights, but I do what I have to do (walk on steep bridges, high platforms, etc).

I HATE Green/Red/Yellow Peppers, and dislike Onions. I also hate Fish, all cept Salmon & Tuna.

You know what? I think you're right!

    Well let's see...

I'm mortally afraid of getting a mental illness, particularly Alzheimer's. I'm also mortally afraid of being disabled.

I don't like dead bugs at all believe it or not. I'm perfectly fine when they're alive but when they're dead...*shudders*

    Ummm what else?

I dunno at the moment, I'll have to think about it and if I've forgotten anything I'll just come back.

Oh yeah, I'm a vegetarian so I'd hate to eat meat.

I hate all peppers Peppers. I also hate Fish.

I am scared of dieing a slow death and knowing I am going to die.

There are more things I don't like but not going to list them all.

I have a fear of becoming handicapped in any way. (physically, mentally, ect.)

For some unknown reason, I'm terrified of all kinds of bees. ( I'm not even allergic! )

And I'm not a big fan of peppers, either. (Although the non-spicy ones are pretty darn tasty!)

Hating something is different from being scared of it, though. =p

I have no full-blown phobias, but I am afraid of being eaten, being mugged/attacked, things that lurk in the dark*, deep water, failure, and many incests/bugs/creepy-crawlies.

*Darkness doesn't scare me, just some of what slinks about in it.

The bugs and being eaten are because I found out when I was about four that I was
really, really allergic to spiders when I was bitten about twenty times by one clinging to my jacket all day. =/

I hate it when I can't see my window from my bed, reckless drivers, and loud/sudden noises when I'm driving, especially tires screeching. The noise didn't used to bother me too much, but then some guy slammed into my driver's door and I get all flinch-y when I hear it now. D:

^^; I'm deathly afraid of blood.

And, also of people touching my fingernails. >< I don't even know if that's a real phobia, but, heh.

Oh and like Sims796, drowning freaks me out, or at least the thought of it.

I'm scared of heights, getting into a car accident, becoming brain dead or having a mental illness, and someone breaking into my house. :paranoid:

Vomit. I can't be in the same room with vomit. If its outside, I can handle, as long as I don't see anyone actually throwing up. A puddle of sick I can casually stroll past, but watching someone hurl gives me the shakes all day, and if its inside and the smell.... I freak out like mad. I'm terrified of it if its indoors. And I can't use a toilet someone has just been sick in.

Strangely enough, my own vomit doesn't phaze me in the slightest. Its only if its someone eleses.

I have arachnophobia. I'm also scared to death of needles. I almost cried last time I got a shot. Heights too, but not as much; I can't ride roller coasters with out a death grip on the safety bar XD

I'm also arachnophobic, Spiders and Surgery freak me out. There the big things.

And yes I said surgery, the thought of people poking around inside me...:shudders:

Drownings pretty freaky too I guess now that it's brought up. It'd be rather fast (well sorta, not for death) but it would seem like forever to you at least and the water in your lungs.....shutting up now.

    That's the same for me sometimes. ._.;

Anyways, I have some odd phobias, except for that, arachnophobia, and my fear of insects, I kinda have a fear of balloons. I don't know why, probably I fear that they're gonna pop, but when they do, it's done. I think that it's nothing to be afraid about, but I can't help it.

Also, I fear public speaking and death.

Hmm, very interesting topic sims, nice!

Well, there are several insects I fear when they're alive, but when they're dead, I run back to them and do my own Earth Quake on them to make sure( GRAHHH~!! *stomp*)
Strangely enough, I have almost no other fears, I don't fear death, I've been close enough to shake hands with the devil.

One thing I'm definitely afraid of is the unknown and the unexplainable. When I say unkown, I mean like somewhere I've never been before, and it's dark... and all too silent. Thousands of things race through my head. I mean, I live in New York, and everyone knows about the Amityville Horror, that's about a 20 minute drive from my house. Me and my friends snuck into the backyard, (now there's security) and slept the night. We woke up shivering and scared.

Its interesting to see so many (fairly) common fears & dislikes.

    Thanks, Romance!

I'd liike to add another grave dislike to millipedes. They creep me the fudge out. One sat on the front door-took me two minutes to walk through it. Not a real fear, but they creep me out.

That & Waterbugs annoy me. Waterbugs? Giant roaches out for revenge.

Still, not a real fear, as I suck it up & move on.

    Ewww, waterbugs. My sister was very unfortunate to live in an apartment infested with them. I was scared of them. At least the bedroom I slept in never had them, but at night, in the living room, or even worse, the kitchen... I avoided it if I could. ^_^;;

I'm also afraid of how I'll die. It's not the dead part that really creeps me out, I just don't want to go painfully, or by drowning, or even by some diseases.

Large amounts of blood and operation are another big fear of mine. I hate looking at it. Which makes you wonder why I like House or other medical shows, right? XD; I hope I don't have to get operated on anytime soon.

i had a feeling a thread lyke this would b made... creepy... ~_~

neways, i dont have many feaqrs.u could ask my mom and she'd agree. i dont no if im brave, or just plain stupid (thats most likely the case)

however, my one fear- being buried alive. im not clostrohopic, (not really, at least) but being buried underground with nothing left 2 look foward 2 except 4 dying is NOT fun. at all. O_o

    I have 2 phobia's

Throwning up, I've always been scared of doing it
Needles or shall I say shots, I hate them sooo much. Because they hurt

    :t354:TG

I don't have a phobia. How macho am I? XD

    I have the following Phobias:

    - Aichmophobia: Fear of Needles or Pointed Objects (A major phobia. It takes five nurses to hold me down when I go to get a shot.
    - Claustrophobia: Fear of Confined Spaces. (Minor, if I can see a exit I'm fine. I have to sit at a window seat when flying or riding in a car)
    - Altophobia : Fear of Heights. (Minor, it use to be a big thing but after riding a rollercoaster I don't have much of a problem any more)
    - Demophobia: Fear of Crowds. (Minor, I don't like to feel like I'm not moving in the crowd or that I'm trapped. Sometimes makes it hard at fairs or amusement parks)
