    Are we allowed to give phone numbers to each other?
     
    Yeah, if you want.Just do it through PM to the specific person you would like to have it.Remember PC is not involved or can be blamed for anything that happens.It may be better to do it through email or IM though, just be sure.
     
    o_o; Don't give out your phone number or anything without your parents or guardians' permission since it's really dangerous to give out personal information over the internet. If they think it's okay, then yeah, it's fine to give your phone number I guess. ^^;
     
    yeah, seeing as how you're 11, it's probably not the best idea to give out anything related to your personal life :P

    There isn't anything on PC against the rules about that. It's what you choose to do, and whether or not you're afraid of getting grounded. I am.
     
    The only way you should give it out is if you are positive you know the person well enough.Cause yeah there are alot of wacked people out on the internet.
     
    I think it's OK to give out your cell phone number, but not your home number else they can track you through it.
     
    Yeah, lots of people here give out their cell numbers. But can't they track you that way too?
     
    Not really, I mean there are ways to track down the billing address of the phone numbers. Thought that stuff is usually really hard to get.
     
    That stuff is protected by privacy laws I think. It's easy to get someone's address from their home number but I never managed it from a cell phone ^^ That's why I quite happily give out my cell phone number to any of my friends who ask XD

    0_o, I really reccommend you don't give others your phone number. This is the internet, anything can happen...

    Anyway it is easy to track one if you really want to. I mean, if it's a proffesional out there, he can do things easily. Though I don't know what they would do with your house address. (Kidnap?)

    Well Home phones would be a really bad idea but cell phones you have to make sure that you know the person very will but it would be hard to contact the person if she/he lived half of the world away from you.Its mainly better if you dont do it.It could mean your life.

    I'm fine with it, but that's because I know I can defend myself, and HEY, I know how to hide my number.

    Yesh, it's 141 over here to hide your number when you call someone :3
    I wouldn't recommend giving out your number to someone who you don't really know over the internet, but if you want to definately check with your parents first, and try to get their number and call them (using the hide-your-number option if possible) to call them and check that they are who they say they are etc. Also be aware that if you're calling abroad, it'll be very expensive ^^;

    So basically it's a matter of opinion...and of course your parents X3
     
    You are right about the expensive bit (Actually you didn't say anything wrong >_>).

    My step dad calls overseas all the time, to America, and the bill is like "WHOS YOUR DADDY?".
