    I am using freewebs right now and i uses a php extension on a page and guess what? it works! i never knew that and i thought id tell all of you ppl new to websites!
     
    The PHP extension doesn't mean anything. I can slap on an ASPX extension and say i know ASPX.. When they say it doesn't run PHP it means it doesn't run the script. The PHP language is different to just having the .php at the end. PHP pages are there to run PHP scripting.

    For example it wouldn't run a simple PHP code like this - <?php include ('left.inc'); ?>

    Just letting you know :P

    Another comment *cough* www.hostultra *cough* There the best when it comes to free websites.

    I don't think so, when they say free hosting it means free without CC.. i may be wrong so don't hold me to that :P

    Most sites will ask you for your street name etc.. its a secure site i'm pretty sure they won't turn up to your door step and rob your house :P.

    If not thats fine, it was a suggestion not a "YOU HAVE TO DO IT" type of thing ^^

    Haven't you ever heard of the famous 123 Fake Street or 123-456-7890 phone number?
     
    Yeah that always works, until its a place like Nintendo when they say "this doesn't no comply to the streets we have on our database" or something like that. (trust me it happened to me)

    Yeah, or umm.. Uncle Bob :P.. Basically, i am saying that its ok to put your adress out on that kind of website.. its secure.

    As Simone said, the PHP extension doesn't mean anything, it could be a static html page. If it was dynamic, it wouldn't have to be php, it could be a CGI, ASP, ASP.NET, Java or anything I missed page which has a .php extension being parsed for CGI, ASP, ASP.NET, Java or anything I missed.

    I find https://tripod.co.uk as the best, since they're free, they support PHP and MySQL and they're cool. The address problem is just an excuse, put in a fake one, everyone does it. If you don't want to do that, then looks good on ya! :laugh:
     
    Spaceports has the lot, but seems a little.. well not that good :P if you know what i mean.

    I looked at tripod.uk.co and they seem pretty good. My first site was with www.tripod.com and they seemed not to bad.
     
    I just noticed, your layout is tableless, are you going for XHTML 1.0? Is your site going to be a standard pokemon fan site? If so I might know someone who would be willing to host you for free. After all, his space and bandwidth are just sitting there. lol
     
    That would be a good idea. Good old Shining Arcanine to the rescue. I didn't use much BW, but now i'm starting to get bigger. I just bort www.pokemon-world.net to use as a media host/scripts.. so i might be able to let you have a subdomain on that.
