Pikachu sacrificing himself for Ash in last ep, good?

Celebi did not die imo... If it were to die I don't think that it'd be so easy to bring it back =)
Although you're right about Lucario, though Sir Aaron didn't really die as well (on screen) since he was already dead prior the main movie timeline =D

Hunter J's ship was damaged by Future Sight, and it fell into the water. It was sucked into a whirlpool, and it was explicitly shown that they were still in there when the glass broke and water was flowing in. J's goggles were shown, and finally, the ship exploded itself.
Of course, J could have escaped with her Salamence since we last saw her before the ship hit the whirlpool and there was a little time, but what happened to the other crewmen in the ship?

btw if you're talking about 'death never happening in the series', tough, other people have already stated examples about death.

There is no proof that J really is dead or not,she could have escaped off-srceen and her glasses floating in the water don't mean that she is dead either it can mean that she is a live,but it will remain unown.

Death is hardly said in the pokemon anime ,giving the fact this show barely have anything with death in it.

Which is why she said this. We know presumed doesn't translate into factual evidence. So now death is "barely" shown when you said a few posts earlier "Death is something that will never happen in the anime series." so which is it then? Of course they are not going to focus on death if you want a show that does then watch Death Note.

Yes, I fully understand that J could have escaped, but like I said, it still doesn't exclude the fact that J's henchmen were still there when the water entered the ship, since we explicitly heard their screams in the ship. J might have escaped before the ship plunged into the whirlpool, but (most of?) the henchmen most definetely didn't.

By the way,

The Pokemon world is too sugar-coated for Pikachu to ever die.

If anything I personally would expect Ash to sacrifice his life to save Pikachu, stepping in front of an attack and dying like he did in the first movie.

No i'm not contradicting my self and my english is much better then youres.

Pikachu is never going to die are even sacrificing it self on the show and the show is about pokemon battles not pokemon dying or anything like that.

I'm tempted to write out a whole list of grammar and spelling mistakes you made, but I'm almost afraid that it'll take too long. Plus, it's not the point of this conversation.

Welp, my point is, even though death has been shown in the anime, they're really either very minor characters that no one cares about (e.g. scientists), or with Lucario and others it was shown in a very different light. That's why it could be alluded to.

But when a MAIN character dies, for example Pikachu here, it would be too depressing. Especially in a final episode/movie. That would turn away quite a lot of fans.
 
If Pikachu dies, it should be to save Ash. Or they could both die while saving the world or something like that.

My grammar and spelling skills are ten times better then your crappy grammar and spelling mistakes,this thread isn't about spelling or grammar and you need to stay on topic.

I highly doubt that Pikachu will ever die in the anime,Pokemon is a show for pokemon battles not characters dying on the show.
 
It's true that death has been shown throughout the anime, although they cover the word "death" up with "Sacrifice" or "Gave it's life" which is just sacrifice but named differently. I highly doubt that Pikachu would ever die, although Ash and Pikachu dying to save the world in the last ever movie would be good! 8D

It doesn't have to be seen as bad, and could be easily be made as good.

I can see it now. Pikachu sacrificing himself to save the world or something, then in an epilogue, we see Ash around 20 years older, with a family of his own. Ash telling his children about all his adventures, and then it takes you over around the wall, showing pictures of Ash and his friends, throphies, and then a picture of him and Pikachu, fades out and ends. /cue me crying.

The writers should totally ask me to become a writer.

But honestly I don't want to finnish it that way, but it could still happen, who knows. We'll just have to wait and see. I wouldn't be suprised if the anime and the whole Pokémon franchise kept going for another 100000000 years. I hope we never see the end of the anime anyway.
 
That would be sad, I can see that happening but that happen many times before in Animes I have seen the main character's partner sacrificing him/her for the main character. It would be sad and heartbreaking but I'll seen it before.

No one cares which one of you have better grammar. Both of you just need to let it go.

Ash sacrificing himself for Pikachu in last ep, better. He's got the grim reaper by him every other movie so it makes sense.

Oh, and tough, have you considered writing a fanfic?

But you know, I kinda wonder if tough is a troll... :P

But sadly, as much as I want Ash killed off, I don't think it would work. He does have quite a lot of fans and those fans would go berserk if he died. Plus, Pokemon would gain a bad reputation as a kid's show. : D
