I heard that in PBR you can get a pikachu with volt tackle and surf does anyone know if this is true

Yeah, go beat the game and get one.

Not that Volt Tackle... or Pikachu itself, for that matter, is worth using anyways.

Exactly. Why anyone would use weak Pokemon on purpose, even to go so far as to create a sub-league for BL, UU, and NU Pokemon, is beyond me. It's like celebrating mediocrity and failure.

Do people even play in those tiers anymore?

Yes, sometimes. They have Wifi leagues and stuff. Can the Pikachu even evolve? If it can, then it could be used in BL and UU. If it doesn't, then UU is the only place it fits

I believe Raichu is used in UU, I believe it was Borderline in 3rd gen. LOL people who play in anything other that OU!

Fighting with anything lower than OU Pokemon is like a gang of mobsters fighting with dull twigs.

Yeah, it can. One I cloned I sent to Privateryan and he told me he evolved it.
It's like any other pikachu, just different.

What? Why wouldn't it be able to evolve? It's a Pikachu like any other, only with two different moves, one of which is garbage anyways.

    thanks

i dont have the game but im thinking of getting it what other pokemon do you get
oh and maybe some people like pikachu not saying names though

Electivire and Magmortar are also obtainable, but the only people who know the password to unlock them are playing keep-away with it. *shakes fist*

    My brother knows the password

    *Engage Pestering mode*

I'll get it in about 2 days

I sincerely doubt that he has it.
The only people I trust that have it are Serebii and his colleague.

Honestly, like it matters. Adamant seriously sucks balls. I bred the jolly nature on mine. Adamnt Gar owns it in that case.
Also forgot adamant can do good with Choice Scarf, but sucks against other adamant CS'ers.

So don't use it then. No need to whine. Some people want it. I already trained up my own, I just want them for collection.

Volt Tackle is a disgusting move, just for the record.

This thread makes me want to put my head in a blender, but I'll get to that later

About the Pikachu, the main problem is that its nature is always hardy. With good IVs it still hits about 400 in both attack and special attack, but it only has average speed to work with. A +spd nature would have been really handy. That said the moves are pretty good, many Electric Pokemon use HP Water so Surf is a big improvement there. Volt Tackle does good damage (more than Adamant Metagross' Meteor Mash would do) but due to Pikachu's paltry HP it'll kill itself astoundingly fast. Surf is still a good move to have though.

Ichida, by your logic since OUs are inferior to ubers we should all play ubers. Or better yet only use Acreus because its the only top tier Pokemon. Your logic is horribly flawed, tiers don't exist to seperate the good from the bad, they simply seperate Pokemon into groups of 'equal skill' so they can be used against each other.

Taking your 'logic' away from Pokemon into sport its like saying for boxing there should only be heavyweights as lightweights aren't real boxers. To be honest I'd like to see you tell a lightweight he isn't a real boxer.

If anyone here ever played Goldeneye on the N64 they can attest to how satisfying it was to kill someone with the slap (worst weapon: inferior) even when they could have just used the Golden Gun. Similarly beating the crap out of a OU team with UU staples is very satisfying.

Also UU play is responsible for a many OU sets. For instance the UU Yanma became BL/OU in ADV when the Substitute-Reversal set was invented.

UU and below play differently than OU and ubers and as such you can have just as much fun if not more playing them. Of course you won't so I hope you enjoy seeing the same 40 Pokemon over and over (unlike ADV the OU pool for DP is currently pretty shallow).

Do people even play in those tiers anymore?
Currently no as there aren't any DP battle simulators with formal tier support so you'd have to pre-organise UU games to play them. However when Competitor comes out I imagine there will be a spike in UU play. I myself are looking foward to it.

Actually its a pretty awesome move, but it just sucks for the only Pokemon that gets it. Electivire and Luxray would love to have a move like that.
