Pikachu's Level

the boss, please stay on topic. If you really want something for someone, PM them.

The average Pikachu really doesn't have a good defense at all. This can easily apply to Ash's Pikachu considering how often it gets too injured to battle.

Pikachu's not the only Electric type that could cause clouds to appear out of nowhere. Besides Zapdos (and maybe Raikou, but I'm not sure since I didn't watch that Japanese episode), didn't Dragonite cause clouds in a very old episode? My memory's kinda rusty...

And about Gender. Gender does exist for only the gender specific Pok?mon, such as the Nidoran, Tauros, Miltank, and others. However, there are cases where gender would be appropriate, but yet the characters still refer to that Pok?mon as an 'it'. If I remember correctly, Ash's Lapras had a mother, but Ash still called it 'it'. And the Pok?mon that Totodile liked very much? The Marill was an 'it' too. Meowth would definately be a he, but I can't recall anybody calling him by a male term.

Maybe the Pichu Brothers are refered genderless as well? That'd be wierd!

Just remember that Ash's Pikachu isn't the 'average' Pikachu at all. Pikachu has been known to literally walk through entire Gym Battles on his own! Also, he seems to have no trouble 'bending the rules' regarding strengths and weaknesses. (Maybe he's the One...)

If I recall, besides Pikachu, it was Zapdos, Raikou, Rayquaza, Dragonite (considered a Legendary Pokemon in the Anime) both Groudon and Kyogre... No wait. That was Pikachu again...

That's my point! He's doing things that freaking Legendary Pokemon are doing! If that doesn't say something, I don't know WHAT does.

As for Gender, Ash is no Steve Irwin. Of course, he's not gonna be able to tell male from female. For all he knows, Jigglypuff could have been a male all along! (Yeah, I know, but still...)

The Pichu brothers are both males, hence the word, brothers.

Anyway, Level 200, give or take a few. That's my estimate, based on the battles and everything.

Whoops. Forgot to mention that Pikachu's definately not an average Pok?mon. Oh well!

How many Electric Pok?mon are capable of destroying a small mountain, let alone a gym battlefield? When it comes to Ash's Pikachu, it could definately be on par with the legendaries (if not already).

I really don't recall Pikachu running through all of the gyms. First was Brock's Geodude. (ouch) Then there's the Onix. Pikachu definately caught a lucky break when the sprinkler system went off. And there's Wattson. Technically, according to the show, that wasn't a fair fight because Pikachu was supercharged.

...

But that leaves me with questions. If Pikachu was sick because of its inablility to discharge itself, then how does Pikachu battle with its sacs overcharged? It doesn't make sense! Of course, that could prove that Pikachu is definately the Chosen One's Pok?mon. Of course, Pikachu's probably a Chosen One as well...

And about Genders. Yes, it would make sense if the Pichu Brothers are males considering their title. But until a person calls them by a male term, we can't be sure. Of course, I'd like to believe them as boys havin' a good time!
*Question: Who's the kid with the Pichu Brothers in the FG's "Yellow to Pichu Bros." theme? (it's such a happy theme!) I've never seen him before...

Oh, and go Samurai Pizza Cats, the first true Anime for me!

Pikachu constantly bends all the rules. If Pokemon is the Matrix, maybe Pikachu is Neo... (hee hee hee)

I just meant he's walked through some of the later ones, such as the first 'official' Hoenn Gym Battle. (Against ALL ROCK POKEMON, might I add.) Flannery beat Pikachu, but it took 2 Pokemon to do it.

I said Pikachu was the ONE. It was just a joke, referring to the Matrix... Of course, I do think that Ash and him are going to do something major, but I don't know what yet.

Actually, this is due to poor translation on 4Kids' part since they don't seem to want to risk calling something male when it's obviously female and vice-versa. Plus I believe it's also because there's no exact word for him/her in Japanese (at least, I think there is..>_>). Nyaasu HAS been refered to as a male in the original and there was the specification with Nyaasu's love being called female and Nyaasu being called male. Waninoko's been refered to as a male as well during the whole love episode. IIRC, pretty much everything's seen as male unless it's either noted or blatantly obvious (and having cutesy, female voice doesn't count in the ways of Purin and Pippi).

There was levels but there are also other things like experience, actual experience, Breeding levels, level of response and many others. Take for example, Casey's Bayleef could beat erm, Grovyle anyday even if it hadn't evolved into Meganium. Becoz Beyleef grows attached to Casey and Casey had done lots of training and Actual Experience are higher than Ash's (Few months trained) Grovlye.
