The shading blocks are a good idea(looks like the Xbox logo in more colors O.o).A good spriter needs to know the colors.

The random dude however,is flat.His right arm,leg and foot is clearly flat.Shading needs a tiny bit of fixing in the pants to.5/10

The Shadow sprite needs shading and better outlining.And the font is also wrong.Thats not the biggest problem though it helps.2/10
