I did some trainer sprites at my thread but no one replied T_T

So I bring you my trainers.
First is Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura. Next is Kagome from Inuyasha. The last is Samantha, one of GM's creations.
Tell me how I did, please ^_^

Why does everyone here think a sprite needs black lines? How about if I make a darker shade of a color? Would that be good enough?

To AM~
1. Well, I see what your aiming for. But you need to improve your shading quite abit >.>
You also need to see the skirt. Its too small. Either manually extend it or take it out completely.
2. Again, you need to improve your outline shading. Also, lighten the black slightly even though the black was first on.
3. A very basic thing to do >.>
First of all AGAIN, use your magical shading skillz.
And his leg outline is abit to thick.

The shading could be improved, especially on the one with the pincers. For instance, you could use more colors to shade instead of just two that you used in each color area. Also, the light source is not consistant throughout the whole sprite. The outlines are sloppy in places as well. All in all, not bad. I wouldn't say that these mistakes are enough to ruin the sprites overall, but they could definately be improved. [7/10] Just wondering...what's the red thing underneath the little bird sprite? Feet?

Ok I have just made a new pokemon, I did it for someones hack, I thought i was going to have trouble becasue its a bird pok?mon and i userly suck at bird pokeomn, but i think this one rulz :P

Was it attempted in the pokemon style? if so, it could use some work.
Read this if you were attempting pokemon style, it will help. If not, I at least suggest you replace the black outline.

Oh I know, I always forget about the black line thing so i just leave it, But here is a legendary version

EDIT: Ok i did the line thing

witch one is better (im not real good with the diff coloured line thing :P)
