Here is where you can discuss both our heroes and Rockets assisting the elderly in "Plant It Now...Diglett Later."

    My review to come forthwith.

Teeheehee I remember this one. I have to admit that now seeing it that the episodes was kinda strange. It was one of those strange fillar Johto episodes but it was kinda touching in its own strange way. Teeheehee

The only thing that was remarkable was the artwork on the thieves. I really liked the Masked Kamen-esque style on the helmets, as odd as that is to say.

Now, the ending irritated me, as the Rockets were punished, even though, they didn't do anything wrong and acted in the right. Maybe misguided at best, but it just demonstrates how the anime would shaft the Rockets no matter what.

Thankfully, in the current fare, that's tapering off. Not that it helped matters back in 02. Heh.

......I think I actually remember this one. It was one of the few episodes where Ash felt sorry that he had to send the Rockets flying, wasn't it?

The whole plot was kind of skewed. I mean, it seemed pretty obvious that the elders knew what was going on right from the get-go, yet this whole charade was brought out, dragging EVERYBODY into it. Then, as you mentioned, Charaxes, Team Rocket starts fighting for their own idea of what's "right"...*sigh* So much for thinking about what would happen if they actually turned straight. ;)

I know. Ash being sorry he sent them packing -- my jaw dropped at that, actually.

I said what I said on the miscommunication. The writers just couldn't have tried harder to have the brats say to the Rockets, "hey! Charade over"? So, they wrote themselves into a hole, and big deal, and write out of it. The ending screamed lazy, but what do you expect after the Whirl Cup hoopla?

Anyway, one item I forgot was James and his elaborating on his rose. I think that's the only time they bothered to explained why he carries it (besides knocking on Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon). How it signifies the blood of all humanity, and all that. I love his poetic side and his comedic one.

"I'll fight with whatever I got... or, at least, give it my best shot."

Say what you will with 4Kids, but they knew how to use the Rockets to spice up a scene.
