Your could just look at the bar at the bottom or just read back one page and check the status icon next to any leaders' name.

Was just wondering anime, when a challenger gets to the E4, do they have to use the same team throughout the four without losing as it should be???

The order doesn't really matter anyway (though I like the idea of being the last obstacle before the champion so I will support a set order) but really the person should have to start again should they lose to one of them and they should have to use the same team for all of them, as is in the games; it is all that separates them from not just being four more gyms.

Not really. The format works, and it ensures the right sort of challenge and differentiates the E4 from the gyms.
