4th Gen Platinum Sprites....

Correction in bold.

They should be using Crystal's "selective refresh" style of animation to take advantage of more than two frames. Combine this with a more subdued version of the Emerald "bouncing around" matrix animation style and they'd be win.
 
I want my attack animation turned on when Skuntank uses Flamethrower.


The Plat sprites are improved only in 'position' in my opinion.

The trainer sprites have changed? I thought it was just the 'player' sprites that changed...

Exactly. If only The Pokémon Company could not be so lazy and spend more time on Pokémon Sprites.

The trainers now have animation, I think.

some have. your rival, the team galtic boss, gym leaders, and E4

I like the new Floatzel sprite it looks so friendly :P
 
I kinda wanna buy Platinum now... Haha.

Too bad I can't afford it atm :P

I actually love a lot of the sprites...

List of the ones I don't like:

Rampardos
Pachirisu - Original was TONs better...
Shaymin Extra Form... Just does not look right.
Octillery

Ones I absolutely LOVE:

The Budew Line
Hipopotas
Eevee
ENTIRE Ralts Line
Froslass - MASSIVE Love for this.
Ghastly
Wurmple
