    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Rotom Heat @ Choice Specs
    Modest; SpA 252/252 Spe/4 Hp
    Trick
    Thunderbolt
    Overheat
    Shadowball

With Specs Rotom Heat as a lead, it can take on just about all the most of common leads by 2HKO or OHKO or preventing them from doing anything with trick. Because it is bulky enough with it's resistances and base stats it can switch out can come back later. Only threating lead to it is tyranitar. Most disappointing feature it cannot be used on Wifi. Naturally, modest and 252 SpA maximizes special attacks. 252 Speed to out speed other threats later in the game, but I really think that this is overkill and need more in defenses. Although I do not know, I never have been really good at EV spreads (especially with something as diverse as counteracting leads).

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Donphan @ Leftovers
    Impish; 252 Hp/252 Def/4 Atk
    Rapid Spin
    Stealth Rock
    Earthquake
    Ice Shard

Since I lose out on being able to set up SR first turn or prevent them from setting up SR Donphan provides useful utilities. Donphan is by far the best overall pokemon for Rapid Spinning. Also a useful counter to annoying pokemon such as Haxmin (hopefully get moved to uber soon), salamence and just being able to finish off really weakened pokemon. Since it has electric immunity it can find a useful notch for finding a switch in and getting stealth rock set up. Although apart from those 3 things I find it is not that useful and believe it could be switch out for something else.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Natural Cure; Calm; 40 Hp/252 Def/216 SpD
    Sesimic Toss
    Ice Beam
    Softboiled
    Aromatherapy

With Heatran, Haxmin and the Rotom forms running rampant in platinum blissey works extremely well to counter them all and other annoying pokemon like SpecsMence. Sesimic Toss is on here so in the event it does face off against Heatran it can win against it. Aromatherapy is to knock out any status effects laid out by pokemon which is becoming quite popular if I am not mistaken.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Jirachi @ Leftovers
    Impish; 32 Spe/252 Hp/ 56 Atk/ 168 Def
    Thunder Wave
    Wish
    U-turn
    Zen Headbutt

Jirachi adds wish support and status support to my team which is always well welcome. Zen Headbutt provides an ok STAB move should it get the chance to use it, 40% flinch is welcome. Again here is another pokemon I am totally unsure about the EV spread, the 32 in Speed provides me with the speed to outrun jolly tyranitar before dragon dance. Zen Headbutt is mostly just a filler move as I did not know what other attacking move to put on it. The speed on this feels too low.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Adamant; 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Hp
    Dragon Dance
    Waterfall
    Earthquake
    Stone Edge

I originally had salamence in mind over gyarados to link up with Jirachi, but felt with scizor being so common these days MixMence, or any mence really, could not face or switch into scizor without being damaged a lot. Anyway this really helps with late game clean up/sweeping. No disappointments here in the team play except perhaps the annoying stealth rock weakness, but I hope donphan makes up for that.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Standard Environment Team

    Scizor @ Life Orb
    Adamant; 252 Hp/252 Atk/4 Def
    Bullet Punch
    Swords Dance
    X-Scissors
    Roost

Platinum's Dance Orb Scizor, its newest star physical sweeper and along with that many conundrums. Dance orb vs. choice band. Super power vs. brick break vs. x-scissors. What is the best exact EV spread? I find that X-Scissors is the best. Superpower is counterproductive on it. Brick Break lost an extra ability in being able to stop common shields from deoxys-s and loses out on coverage against things like cresslia and celebi. X-Scissors and Bullet Punch after 2 sword dances can 2HKO and OHKO a ton of stuff, even steel types that resist both. And this ev spread I also find to be the best. Gives max hp with minimal lose from life orb, I believe. May be a bit odd having 2 physical sweepers, but both have their uses. Gyarados works well with jirachi and taking a few pokemon down by being able to switch into them and Scizor with bullet punch can really help with revenge killing and taking out the annoying gengar.

    Problems
After looking through a list of the common threats, I find that the biggest problem on my team is the reliance on Rotom Heat. It is the biggest counter to so many pokemon on my team and once it falls in battle; my team is open to a lot of things. I think I could remove donphan from my team, and move rotom h out from the lead position and have another pokemon take the lead (one that could set up stealth rock).

I think that you should consider changing either Blissey or Jirachifor something else. Both are support Pokemon, I say only one is enough. That's just me, so if you want to replace something, consider one of them.

That is not very helpful really in explaining what I should change too. There are too many to choose from. I'll keep that in mind though anyway.

How is Blissey a support pokemon? The Bliss that he has is a standard special wall. end of story.

One thing I'm noticing is your lack of special firepower. Only Oventom has special attacks on this team, and its your lead, so its not gonna be around for that long.

One thing that you could consider is the following:
    - Change Oventom into a bulky special sweeper, and scrap Donphan. As a lead, put a special-based Azelf.

    Azelf @Focus Sash
    Rash Nature
    252 Spa/ 252 Spe/ 6 Atk or 6 HP
    Flamethrower
    HP Fighting/Explosion
    Stealth Rock
    Taunt

This is a pretty good anti-lead. HP FIghting 2HKO's Scarftran. You can use that if you fear Scarftran more, and use 6 HP(note that you need 30 Atk IVs as well to make Azelf legit on Shoddy, its still HP Fighitng 70 though.) If you want to boom things around, 6 Atk and Explosion>> HP Fighting works.

Since the only team member here who has a significant SR weak is Gyara, you don't need htat much spinning, since you have Wish support from Rachi and both Rachi and Scizor can sponge up T-Spikes that are becoming more common these days.

However, this gives you problems against HP Electirc Mixape. Sine status isn't as common as it used to be due to the acc drop with Hypnosis, I would drop Blissey for a revenge killer that can stop Mixape cold. I recommend either CB Duggy or Scarfgar, depending on your preference for more speical attacking or trapping.

Actually T-Spikes are becoming less common, as here is a perfect example of a platinum team, only one pokemon is truly bothered by T-Spikes.

Donphan is by far the best overall pokemon for Rapid Spinning. Also a useful counter to annoying pokemon such as Haxmin (hopefully get moved to uber soon).

Donphan is an awful spinner (Since is cant do ANYTHING to spin blockers, even gengar, well actually... it can but no one takes advantage of them, aka Toxic and Assurance, but w/e) and it can't counter shaymin (It cant switch in, base 125 sp.att vs poopy sp.def anyone ? Nor can it even OHKO with Ice Shard, without a CB. :<)

    Jirachi/Donphan : -

Your team doesnt need R-Spin with only one weak to it and you have wish support for that =p.

So Donphan is near useless here (HUGE surprize, not >_> lol) bar sr, which Jirachi can do anyway.

    aka : -

    Jirachi@Lum Berry / Leftovers
<Either your current spread and nature, or use Jolly max hp / max speed>
    - SR
    - t-Wave / Body Slam
    - Zen Headbutt
    - Wish

This is actually a cool lead too.

    Scizor : -

Another thing you could do is CB that Scizor and use Pursuit in its set, this way you can get rid of Scarf Gar, Celebi, Starmie, Cress etc, and it can open up Gyarados sweep for you, something to consider.

    Rotom:-

Id be careful of foe Gyarados too...since rotom isnt a good counter or check to it unless it has alot of def evs or is scarfed.(The latter of which you could do easily).

Anyways, i advise that you put donphans slot to better use.

you might wanna consider putting a scarf on your rotom, that way, you can trick them before something faster, like azelf, gets a taunt in.

also i agree with D_A, you don't really need a spinner.
if you're looking for something like a physical wall, try hippowdon.

    Hippowdon@leftovers
    sand stream/impish

    Earthquake
    ice fang
    SR
    Slack off
    Hp:252/Atk:18/Def:152/SpD:88

Hippowdon is an amazing physical wall. No physical attack (cept for explosion and crits) can OHKO it.
