Platinum Team assistance

I've been training my team on and off throughout Platinum and, I still think I need plenty of practice before I'm better.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Team assistance

    Lopunny:
    Nature: Jolly
    ability: Cute charm
    item: Nevermeltice

    Ice Punch
    Protect
    Quick Attack
    return

He's one of my most fastest pokemon. Good for a first time attacker, and Ice Punch to deal with the heavy Dragon, rock or ground type pokemon he comes across. Nevermeltice is to increase Ice Punch's effects. Quick Attack's in case the opponent tries to paralyze Lopunny to slow him down. Revenge attack them before they try to finish him off.

    Milotic
    Nature: Modest
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Item: Leftovers

    Rain Dance
    Surf
    Dragon Pulse
    Recover

Rain Dance (powers water attacks to 50%) + STAB (1.5x) makes Surf do over 200 damage. Dragon pulse was substitute for Ice beam when I found it wasn't working for me. Though I'm thinking about changing this attack too. Any suggestions would be nice. And Recover + Leftovers ensure Milotic stays in battle.

    Donphan
    Nature: Naughty
    Ability: Sturdy
    Item: Miracle Seed

    Seed Bomb
    Thunder Fang
    Earthquake
    Protect

Seed Bomb + Miracle Seed is very nice when up against ground, water and other pokemon Donphan can't hit with Earthquake. Thunder Fang's for flying mostly, and Steel such as Scizor... but I'm thinking about changing this attack too. Help on this please. Protect is to make sure that the opponent Donphan faces doesn't have an attack that's ensured to kill her in one go. If so, I'd rather switch her out. She's proven to be quite a sweeper if given Ninjask's speed baton passover.

    Gardevoir:
    Nature: Naive
    Ability: Trace
    Item: Mind Plate

    Psychic
    Wish
    Confuse Ray
    Protect

Protect for Gardevoir to have a chance to heal without the opponent attempting to finish him off while his health is low. Mind Plate to add some extra power to Psychic. Confuse ray because... I'm honestly not sure anymore. I need big help with this pokemon please.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Team assistance

    Magnezone
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    Nature: Calm
    Item: Metronome

    Thunderbolt
    Magnet Rise
    Thunder Wave
    Mirror Shot

Magnet Rise has saved Magnezone from slower Ground types who used Earthquake a turn too late. Mirror shot for rock and Ground mostly. THunder wave if the pokemon is too fast, in case Magnezone can't defeat them, another of my team mates may have a shot at it. This one may need some adjustments too. I'm not really sure.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Team assistance

    Roserade
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Nature: Modest
    Item: Wide Lens

    Sludge Bomb
    Leaf Storm
    Aromatherapy
    Sleep Powder

Sleep Powder's tricky because of its low accuracy, bu Wide Lens gives it at least a bit more accuracy for Roserade to make the opponent sleep. Sludge bomb for pokemon who are not very effective against Leaf Storm. Mainly Grass. Aromatherapy for in case most of my team's poisoned/ paralyzed/ burned/ asleep, Roserade can cure them all, and switch out and be cured by his ability if the opponent tries a status on him too.

So, they you have it. What do you think? I'd love some feedback please. Any changes you think should be made in attacks or Items. Maybe if there's a huge gap in this team that requires another type pokemon to help balance it out. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Please could you put up Donphan's moves up so people can actually see what they are before reading the summary of it.

Apart from that, I like your team, but I'm not the one to rate it, I'm afraid.

Sorry. Did this late last night and had not noticed.

    Donphan:

    Seed Bomb
    Thunder Fang
    Earthquake
    Protect

Stone Edge / Rock Slide > Thunder Fang.

Both are more powerful, Seed Bomb already hits water-types, so it's a choice between power (Stone Edge) and accuracy (Rock Slide). Ditch Protect for Payback, as Donphan's slow, so most of the time that's coming with 100 base power. A main problem I see is a lack of fire. However I'm not sure what options are really open to you, so....meh.

Originally I had Garchomp with Fire Fang and Infernape with flamethrower. But I sort of drifted away from them and, didn't realize this team had no fire pokemon/attacks....

Replace Thunder fang and Protect with Rock slide and Fire fang?

Okay, I've changed Gardevoir a bit because his old movepool was just not working out for him:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Team assistance

    Gardevoir:
    Nature: Naive
    Ability: Trace
    Item: Insect Plate

    Psychic
    Wish
    Reflect
    Signal beam

Signal beam are for psychic and dark pokemon. So far it's worked well when I tested it out, defeating the few dark type the trainer's sent in expecting to take down Gardevoir. Reflect's to compensate Gardevoir's lack of defense. Insect Plate's to help increase Signal beam's power, while STAB helps with psychic's attack.

    What do you think?

Yeah, Fire Fang and Rock Slide is a good idea...good Gardevoir set, too....Garchomp and Infernape are both brilliant, and if you wanted ground....Garchomp could go over Donphan, although looking at their stats, Donphan's Earthquake and Fire Fang are more powerful.....

I do have Garchomp and Infernape, and they were brilliant. But I didn't think it was a good idea to rely too much on the dragon, and I'm still learning how to properly use Infernape. So I replaced Garchomp with Donphan, and took out Infernape in favor of... one of the pokemon above, can't really remember.
