Ok, so this is my hypothetical Platinum team, loosely rain-based. Tbh, I'm not bothered if there're better options, most of the pokemon are staying (I may be persuaded to drop Rhyperior/Garchomp, and Garchomp can be removed much more easily). It's basically moveset improvement.
Oh, and if you do think No.5/6 needs removed, I'll just point out that Froslass has been considered.

Most of my pokemon take advantage of level-up moves, with the odd tm / heart scale / tutor.

    The Lead
    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Kricketune
    Name: Korohiko

Moveset: Perish Song / Night Slash / X-Scissor / Rain Dance

Function: As well as slashing his way through things with a couple of critically-hitting moves, Korohiko can also sing a death sentence with Perish Song. One of his main functions, however, is to set up the Rain Dance, which also weakens his fire weakness.

    The Starter
    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Empoleon
    Name: Pocahiko

Moveset: Hydro Pump / Flash Cannon / Drill Peck / Ice Beam

Function: He's my main special sweeper (in fact, my only one xD), with 100% accurate STAB Hydro Pump, STAB Flash Cannon to take care of any random steel-types, Drill Peck to hit the grass, and Ice Beam also hitting grass. Tbh, Drill Peck only really gets fighting pokémon, so Grass Knot is in consideration.

    The Physical Sweepers
    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Gallade
    Name: Erlahiko

Moveset: Close Combat / Psycho Cut / Leaf Blade / Hypnosis

Function: He's my main hard-hitting physical beast, with dual STAB coming off an impressive attack stat. Leaf Blade hits water-types, and dual rock/ground types harder than Close Combat. Hypnosis is to be obtained by leaving Kirlia un-evolved until it learns it. This move can then be used to buy time to set up more Rain, or if I need to switch something in safely.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Rhyperior
    Name: Dosihiko

Moveset: Rock Wrecker / Megahorn / Aqua Tail / Earthquake

Function: Well, Dosihiko is the physically bulky counterpart to Erlahiko (who has incredible special defense), Rock Wrecker is an extremely powerful, awesome signature move, which can kill most things. Megahorn is a good way of dealing with psychics, dark-types and grass pokémon. Aqua Tail is an example of Dosihiko's phenomenal type coverage, which gets powered up by the rain, taking care of other physically bulky rock/ground types more effectively than Earthquake. Earthquake is, well, Earthquake. Whatcha gonna do about that? xD

    The Mixers
    [PokeCommunity.com] Platinum Team (hypothetical)

    Species: Electivire
    Name: Elehiko

Moveset: Thunder / Fire Punch / Iron Tail / Giga Impact

Function: Thunder is, like Pocahiko's Hydro Pump, 100% accurate in Korohikos rain, Fire Punch is weakened, but generally a good move, and better out of rain. Iron Tail can hit rock-types, and ice-types. Giga Impact is, well, powerful, but has drawbacks, so is best used when he's got no more use.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Garchomp
    Name: Fukahiko

Moveset: Draco Meteor / Brick Break / Crunch / Dragon Rush

Function: Being a physical sweeper, Dragon Rush is Fukahiko's best offensive move. However, it's inaccurate, so Dragon Claw is being considered. Brick Break is some good ol' fighting power, with the added effect of breaking screens. Crunch is more coverage over psychics and ghosts. Draco Meteor is, despite coming off Fukahiko's weaker offensive stat, extremely powerful, STAB, and he's a pseudo-legendary, so his special attack is still good. Also, Draco Meteor's special attack-reducing drawback doesn't weaken his other moves!

Awesome team! The only thing I would say is that you should teach your empoleon Surf. I tryed it and it knocked out pokemon in one go. It is useful in a double battle because it will damge both pokemon but it will also damge your other pokemon. But over all your team looks good!

Vulpixkid, put your team in a separate thread. you're supposed to help the topic creator's team, not show off your own. That's considered spam.

On topic: Looks nice. Although I'd have a second pokemon with Rain Dance on your team if your lead gets KOed. It won't hurt to have a back-up Rain Dancer. I'd also definetly use Dragon Claw over Dragon Rush on Garchomp.

Let's have a look at your movesets...

    Kricketune
I honestly don't like Perish Song on your Kricketune. It's too frail to use it very effectively. Same with Rain Dance. It's likely to be killed by a Flying/Rock attack or something while it sets up, and even neutral attacks do a lot to it. Rain Dance also isn't doing much for your team, because Kricketune is the only thing that can set it up. However, if you really want to set up Rain, go ahead. I'd say Brick Break > Rain Dance (If you don't want that anymore), and Aerial Ace > Perish Song to hit other Bugs that otherwise wall your set (I don't know about Night Slash though). You could also consider Sing to shut down an opponent Pokemon, but it's accuracy is a big let down. If you want to use this to set up Rain I'd really use Bronzong instead, but you want moveset help and not replacment help.

    Empoleon
Surf is better than Hydro Pump in my opinion. Sometimes the accuracy messes up, and that means your opponent can get a fere hit in. Hydo Pump doesn't have 100 accuracy, by the way. I've never heard of accuracy being raised in Rain outside of Thunder. Flash Cannon is fine but I'd really only use it for Ice types (Which Surf hits for neutral damage, although it's good to have something for Abomasnow). Grass Knot > Drill Peck for bulky waters such as Milotic (Which can be a total pain in game). If you really want this team to be completely Rain based, you could take away Flash Cannon for Rain Dance (Which I'm SURE Empoleon could learn)

    Gallade
Hypnosis isn't very reliable tbh. I'd replace it with Night Slash (For Ghosts), or if you want to forego Leaf Blade for Night Slash have Swords Dance replace Hypnosis to raise Gallade's attack stat.

    Rhyperior
I don't like Rock Wrecker because you have to recharge the next turn. This gives the opponent a free turn to set up, even in game. Stone Edge is better if you really want to hit hard. However, I think the rest of the set is fine.

    Electivire
Fire Punch is best used out of Rain, which is one of the reasons you could forego Rain Dance on Kricketune. If you want Rain Dance though, Cross Chop is generally a better option than Fire Punch. I doubt Kricketune's Rain will be up by the time you send this thing in, because I kind of doubt it will even be able to get it up. For that reason, Thunderbolt is much better on this set. Earthquake > Iron Tail, simply because Iron Tail isn't that good of a move. Instead of Giga Impact, you could use Ice Punch to hit Ground types, and I think Eelctivire will be dead by the time he tries to use Giga Impact if he has no more use.

    Garchomp
I think you should replace Dragon Rush with Dragon Claw, because I've used a Garchomp with Dragon Rush and the accuracy failed on me a lot and Garchomp lost quite a bit of his HP. Instead of Draco Meteor I'd run Fire Blast, but if you really want this to be Rain based then Draco Meteor is fine. Earthquake > Brick Break, because it hits all the things that you're trying to hit with Brick Break a lot harder. Crunch is fine, though.

Opps sorry I never really read it and thought it was something else. I will delete my post and sorry again for any spam I may have caused.

Okay, so, I'm sticking with the rain. Electivire and Rhyperior are being dropped. Mainly because I may aswell use my Pokétopia Electiviere, and Rhyperior is too slow for me, will not take kindly to special hits, and I've used it a few times already. Kricketune stays, as I've already started raising it (lv.20+, about to get the 2nd badge), albeit in a slightly different role.

So, here's the new (improved) team:

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Empoleon
    Type: Water / Steel
    Name: Pocahiko
    Item: Damp Rock
    Ability: Torrent

Moveset: Rain Dance / Surf / Ice Beam / Grass Knot

Function: Damp Rock extends the life of Rain Dance, Surf is powered up by Rain Dance. Ice Beam and Grass Knot are mainly there for coverage, tbh.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Luxray
    Type: Electric
    Name: Luhiko
    Item: Damp Rock
    Ability: Intimidate

Moveset: Rain Dance / Thunder / Signal Beam / Superpower

Function: Damp Rock, like with Pocahiko, extends the rain. Thunder then becomes 100% accurate too, making for a lot of power. Signal Beam hits Dark, Psychic and Grass-types who'd try and oppose me. Superpower rounds it off nicely, hitting Rock-types (who are often part Ground, and would be immune to Thunder), Normal-types and Steel-types who aren't hit by Thunder (part Rock or Ground). Intimidate compounds Luhiko's already decent bulk, by weakening physical attacks.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Kricketune
    Type: Bug
    Name: Korohiko
    Item: Muscle Band
    Ability: Swarm

Moveset: X-Scissor / Night Slash / Brick Break / Perish Song

Function: My previous use of Perish Song in a past playthrough tells me it's still worth it, especially when I need to take down something extremely powerful (I often struggle against behemoths such as Bronzong and Milotic, also Spiritomb, which doesn't have any weaknesses. X-Scissor, Night Slash and Brick Break provide pretty good coverage overall, for the little bug. Muscle Band is there to boost his attacks to respectable power levels.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Gallade
    Type: Psychic / Fighting
    Name: Erlahiko
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Steadfast

Moveset: Psycho Cut / Night Slash / Close Combat / Leaf Blade

Function: Erlahiko is extremely powerful, as well as having high Special Defense. Life Orb boosts his attack even further, Psycho Cut and Close Combat are brilliant STAB attacks, Leaf Blade hits Water and Ground pokémon, and Night Slash hits everything Close Combat doesn't (Psychic and Ghost).

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Garchomp
    Type: Dragon / Ground
    Name: Fukahiko
    Item: Wide Lens
    Ability: Sand Veil

Moveset: Draco Meteor / Dragon Claw / Earthquake / Stone Edge

Function: Draco Meteor is, as previously mentioned, extremely powerful Dragon-type STAB. Dragon Claw serves as physical STAB, Earthquake is 100/100 power/accuracy, and also STAB boosted, oh, and Stone Edge hits all the airborne targets, and gets super-effective damage on Garchomp's main weakness - Ice pokémon. Wide Lens bumps up the accuracy of Draco Meteor and Stone Edge, making them more reliable.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Species: Togekiss
    Type: Normal / Flying
    Name: Tohiko
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Serene Grace

Moveset: Aura Sphere / Air Slash / Water Pulse / Shadow Ball

Function: Serene Grace is a kickass ability. Tohiko is a kickass pokémon, with a brilliant movepool. Aura Sphere never misses, Air Slash causes flinching, Shadow Ball decreases the Special Defence stat, and Water Pulse gets a boost by the rain, also causing confusion. Togekiss is a species with a high special attack stat, hence the moveset, but they also are naturally bulky, hence the Leftovers. Wish has been considered for Team Healing, but I'm not sure what to replace (it seems a waste to have rain with only two pokemon really benefitting.

    So...more rates?
