Alright, I've decided to type up an entire guide for an idea I formed called Pokemon Agate. Before anyone asks, I've decided to toss Pokemon: Amaterasu Waking & Sapphire Redux. Why? Because, it didn't dawn on my until recently that making a successful video game requires an excellent idea and guidelines before begining production. My knowledge of scripting and RGSS is little to none, I can't sprite for beans, so I decided to do the typing part of it.
Basically, I'm going to be typing a complete guide for my Pokemon Agate project. After it's done, I'll upload it to the net and post it here so anyone who's interested can download it. This topic is so that I can get feedback on features I should add, Pokemon that should or should not be included, and things I should or should not include. I'm not recruiting a team, yet.
Agate takes place in Kanto and proceeds on to Johto. Every Pokemon from Gens 1 and 2 will be available for capture in some way, and only certain Pokemon from Gens 3 and 4 will appear, specifically those who are the pre-evolutions or evolved forms of Gen 1-2 Pokemon.
Features so far:
Note: Most of the text below is copied straight from the guide so far.
Bounty Hunting: Agate will have a new system called Bounty Hunting. Bulletin Boards will be set up in every Pokémon Center with different bounties being offered by people who want, or have lost, specific Pokémon. You'll be rewarded handsomely, whether it is in money, rare items, or even, a Pokémon Egg! You can take on up to three bounty hunts, and you must have an open slot in your party to capture the requested bounty.
New Species of Pokemon: Professors Oak and Elm have uncovered shocking evidence that certain Pokémon have given birth to, or evolved into, entirely new Pokémon! No one is sure which Pokémon evolve into these new species, or which give birth to them, so capture as many as you can and breed and evolve them! These new species may require alternate means of evolution or breeding to obtain (Such as having a Pokemon hold an item and breeding).
This si what I've got so far. Other than this, I've mapped out Kanto and Johto and included a sort of introductory section. Please, give me your feedback on what I should include, what isn't a good idea, etc.
