3rd Gen Please explain something about record mixing in RS...

    I mixed records and the other trainer's character appeared in my game inside his secret base and I was able to fight him yet when he tried to fight me in my secret base, I wouldn't fight.
    Why is this? Does it have to do with levels or male/female characters? Because whatever it is it's rather annoying.
     
    Has your friend defeated the Elite 4? That's the only thing I can think of.

    I had already beat the elite 4 though. I don't think it has to do with that. Some of my Pokemon were level 80+

    Yes he has. But I don't think it has to do with that. The only difference was he picked the male trainer + picked the female one.

    It doesn't matter whether or not you have; it's whether you friend has or not.

    EDIT: Um, the male/female thing has nothing to do with it. I'm not sure what to tell you.
     
    Can you only battle once a day (sorry, its been awhile, so I don't remember)? Maybe its the berry glitch, then. Has time stopped passing in your friends game (berries not growing, the lottery not working, etc)?

    Nope. None of that stuff has happened. It's just that the girl trainer talks about random stuff instead of wanting to battle yet the boy trainer will challenge me to a battle.
     
    Well, if you've both beaten the Elite Four, don't have the berry glitch, and have mixed records several times in an attempt to fix it, and it still doesn't work, then I'm out of ideas. Sorry, and good luck figuring out the problem.
     
    I have experienced this as well in RS, but it was due to the Berry Glitch. If you are 100% certain you don't have that glitch, then my next question is have you ever cheated on this cart? If you have, there is your answer.
     
    The only other option then is a defective cart. You will either have to purchase a new or used one or just live with the problem.
