    What's the difference between:

    1) You receive a pokemon from Red/Blue/Yellow VC to Sun Moon via pokebank/transporter (for example, Kanto legendaries like Articuno and Mewtwo)

    2) You receive the above mentioned pokemon originated from generation 3 (FR/LG), all the way from gen to next gen migration ( 3 -> 4 , 4 -> 5 , 5->6, 6->7)

    I mean , do we see different icon and stats in the transfered pokemon which brought from gen 3? I already know the gameboy icon and the description in such a pokemon transfered via the first method (from VC gen 1 to 7 via bank/transporter)

    Thank you!

    All Pokemon from R/B/Y VC have Hidden Abilities, at least 3 perfect IVs, as well as some moves they cannot learn in future generations.
    Like, who wouldn't want a Rhydon with Bubblebeam.

    Any Pokemon from Gen 3, can't have HAs and Gen 1 TMs (aside from Move Tutors, but even that's very limited), and completely random IVs.

    Ok, so according to what you said, it is no worth the time and effort spending during the transfers. But I really believed about a difference in the little icon, as of original game boy in the first method.

    Thanks for your answer.

    I thought the gen 1 Pokémon had a little game boy icon on their profile also.

    main difference is that Kanto legendaries you caught in VC will have HA... which you can't have if you caught one in FR/LG.
