Please help me pick which Growlithe to use

I got bored over the summer and started playing the old pokemon games again after idk how many years. Today I caught two lvl 5 Growlithes with almost-identical stats, and I can't decide which one to use for my starter.

The 1st one's stats are; HP: 22, Attack: 13, Def: 10, Special Attack: 12, Special Defence: 10, and Speed: 12.

The 2nd one's stats are; HP: 20, Attack: 13, Def: 9, Special Attack: 13, Special Defence: 11, and Speed: 12.

I am playing Crystal, and I haven't trained either of them at all.

The second one. I would think that for Growlithe and Arcanine, attack and special attack are far more important than defense stats.

^^ I agree with the above post. It is best in attack, sp. atk, and speed.
Although it depends on what you want to use it as- a wall, sweeper, or staller.
