There is no easy way to find Shinies, except for Poke Radar. which you get from Professer Rowan in Diamond and Pearl by completing your pokedex. (151 pokemon).

There is a process called "Chaining" which increases the chances of finding shinies.
I've never pulled it off, it can get really frustrating after a while.
