PMD: Legend Rescue Team

(Sorry for taking so long to reply, been in hospital for a fracture)
"Let's head into Asale town, pick up some things and get going," Jake said, putting on the bow tie. Navi was excited and ready but it would probably be better to pick up some supplies first. After practice we all got on the train and it took them to Asale town.
The town was completely full of people. Navi and Jake walked up to Minun's shop. "Hello, there! So, I heard you two joined the guild! Have great fun!" Minum said cheerfully "Now, what is it that you need?" She said showing us the items in the store.
"Four oran berries, please," Jake asked. Yeah that's probably a good idea.
Navi thought to himself. "That will be 80 poke, please," Jake turned towards Navi, "Can you get that please? You'll have to do most of the putting things away until I evolve, because, well, I don't have hands yet," Jake said. Navi gave the Minum the money and took the oran berries
Then they walked into a large partially under water bank. "We would like to deposit our 220 poke," Jake informed him. "Yarr, it shall rest here in Davy Jones's locker until ye return," Navi gave the coins to the Pokemon who put it into a large empty chest. "Ye have a good day, little ones." The Pokemon said as we walked out of the bank."So, is there anything else we should get, or are you ready to go?" Jake said. "No I think that's about every thing, but I don't know how to get to the dungeon." Navi said.

(Creb, let's each post for one of the sections. I'll post for the first one, you the second. You guys can do however you want.)

"Well, then, let's get going," Jake walked next to Navi to the southern gate of the town, if it could be called a gate. It was literally just a gate in the middle of the road; two poles with a wooden swinging door in between; no fence or wall connecting to it. One could easily just walk around it. Jake pushed it open and walked through anyways. After a few minutes of walking, the river could be heard. Jake found it ironic that the river was named after a fire type, but that didn't change his idolization of the heroes. A small hole was near the end side of the river which lead under water. "Bottoms up!" Jake jumped in head first, splashing into the water of the dungeon, followed by Navi. He stood up and the water partially solidified beneath his feet. Mystery dungeons were such strange places. In front of them was the expansive maze that lead to the end and a supposed treasure. A wild pokemon, a goldeen swam up, and attacked Jake. The attack was weak, but still slid Jake back a bit. He gave it a quick sucker punch, which knocked it out. They proceeded on, the only useful item being a blast seed. A few more wild pokemon came up to them and attacked, but none were hard to beat at all. After a few minutes of walking, they came to a small gate way, which lead to section two.

(OOC: I'm still here.)

Van looked around. He and Snack were the only ones left in the room now. Zeke went over to them.

"Why are you two still here?" he asked. Van looked at him blankly.
"Err... You told us to wait," Van mumbled. Zeke burst out laughing at this. Van didn't think it was that funny.
"I meant for you to wait for everyone else to get ready before you took off! Go, get prepared for your mission and head out!" Zeke said, still laughing. Van frowned. It wasn't his fault he was so literal. Still, they had to get going.

"Snack, I'll run into town and get some supplies. I'll meet you outside the dungeon!" Van said. He didn't wait for an answer before he took off toward town.

---------------------------------------

Van stepped off the train. He quickly made his way to Kangaskan Storage. He grinned up at Kangaskan.
"Hi there!" he said happily.
"Hey there sweety! What can I do for you?" she said merrily.
"I need to get my two Oran Berries out of storage, and I want to put my scarf in storage! I got a new one and I don't want this one to get ruined!" Van said as he passed his old scarf to her. She took it and put it in his storage room and returned with his two berries. He went to the bank and deposited the money. He walked toward the town gate, only to see Silva waiting for him. He walked over to her and she nuzzled him.

"Hey there! Aren't you supposed to be resting?" Van said, sounding a little surprised. Silva smirked at him.
"Maybe. I just wanted to say good luck!" she said. Van didn't ask how she knew he had a mission today. He simply nuzzled her back and smiled at her.
"Thanks! I'd best be going! I don't want to make my partner wait on me!" Van said. She stepped back and allowed him to walk out the gate. He proceeded to walk towards the entrance to the dungeon.

((Yeesh I'm still here. Can't do much until luigimario posts.))

Vor nodded toward Hugo. "Hmm. I think I'm going to gather some supplies. We'll meet up around Lundesa pit. I say we bring whatever supplies we need. If we're dealing with a thief, then we need bait to lure em out." Vor said. He floated out the door and headed too the train to head toward town. He decided to hang onto the tie since offense wasn't normally his strongsuit and seeing how he was more of a long distance attacker, being quck to avoid would be alot more helpful on his part.

Once Vor stepped off of the train, he decided to head for Plusle and Minun's shop. May as well check out the situation. "Gmorning Plusle. Minun." Vor said happily.

The two waved in unison. "Gmornin Vor! What have you been up too?" Plusle asked.

"I'm just here to help with your Theif situation. He stole a couple apples eh? Well we may as well catch him before that leads to stealing bigger things!" Vor said.

"Really? Thanks a ton Vor! We'd love to lend you items to help... but business comes first so no freebies. You understand right? Anyways, you need anything?" Minun asked. Vor remembered he would be getting 200 poke out of this job. Seemed like a good enough reward. If anything, he was practically getting freebies out of this. May as well try to save up money for any of the bigger selections... still, supplies always help.

"If you still have a couple apples on you, I'd like to buy two Apples and two Oran Berrys." Vor asked. Plusle and Minun nodded happily and pulled out the desired items. The total for all of them were 100 poke. Vor handed them the money and headed on his way. Alot of money for a couple apples... though most of the cost were from the berrys. Best to use them wisely...

His next stop was the Sharpedo bank. Last thing Vor needed was to lose all of that money to a couple of rabid Pokemon. Vor looked down in the large body of water and Sharpedo came right out. "Monring Sharpedo. Could you store a bit of money for me?" Vor asked.

"Not a problem Vor. Just hand it here." Sharpedo replied. Vor handed Sharpedo any remaining money he had for safe storage. He really respected the security the place had. An underwater bank... Genius! Vor headed on his way to the dungeon to hopefully meet up with his partner...

The underwater mystery dungeon was too confusing. There were large caverns that branched off to smaller tunnels that led to other large caverns. Mystery dungeons are like a labyrinth to navigate. Navi and Jake hadn't walked far before another Pokemon faced them: A feebas. The feebas although wasn't very strong, and was easily taken out by a single hit. Navi ran ahead to find that they had went the wrong way. There was only a dead end ahead of him. Navi tuned around to find a Remoraid, which attacked with a Psybeam. The attack was a weak hit and was easily countered by a waterfall attack. The attack made the Remoraid flinch long enough to finish him of with surf, with a clear path ahead of them Navi backtracked and found the entrance to the 3rd section of the dungeon.

-_-

Van grew tired of waiting. He could handle Pitch Forest on his own. He stood up and shook himself off.
"Sorry Snack, but I've got to get moving!" Van said aloud. He picked up the bag and walked into the dungeon. The first thing he noticed was that it was dark. He was easily the brightest thing here. The second thing he noticed was that this place was crawling with grass and poison types. And of course there were a lot of birds too. He let loose a Flamethrower at a Seedot and knocked it out. He began walking, trying to find the stairs. A Nidoran ran up and tackled him. The two of them rolled on the ground and Van was on his feet first and blasted the Nidoran with his fire, knocking him out. Van found the stairs after a moment and went deeper into the woods.

(May as well get moving then)

For some reason his Partner hadn't showed up... Vor wasn't sure what to make of that but he had a job to do so he made his way to the area he was told about. Lundesa Pit... More then anything it was a rather huge underground cave. So far, everything went pretty well in the first floor. The first area mostly had a few Rock types wandering about. It ranged mostly of Geodude which Vor was able to fend off easily. Considering its an underground dungeon, Vor suspected that quite a few things could be found in the area. Maybe a few souviners to bring back to the guild. After all, Vor's job was to check out the area until the 4th floor. He wondered just how strong the Pokemon in the floor below were... Vor was almost tempted to take h is chances... no he wasn't going to end up like Van or Silva!

Vor moved onto the second floor... there wasn't much to say about the first floor. Mostly wild rock pokemon going about their usual buisness, attacking when prompted. And boy were they easy to prompt. Vor moved onward...

Jake heard a very loud crash coming from the direction of Asale Town. Pokemon rushed by as Jake and Navi entered the third section. A furret ran up to them, Ricky, the town crier. "Hugo the Riolu just
got killed by a meteor! He was five feet away when it happened! He flew up, and landed on Pheon's tail!" the over excited furret emphasized by arching his back backwards.
"Well, is anyone else hurt?" Jake asked.
"One of Elixa's tails fell off, part of Pheons arm, Houstons tail tip and Astons left ear and part of his tail. Also, there is a 20 foot wide crater in the middle of the road to the bank. There will be a funeral at the River Elixa dock this evening, I need to go tell the others!" Ricky ran off.
"Well, that's really disheartening," Jake said glumly and started forwards.
Not too many pokemon bothered them after that, other than to ask what happened because they were scared. The third section went by quickly, with no items except for some poke.
"Well, one more section until we start looking for that treasure."

"Wow, talk about unexpectedly depressing." Navi said in sorrow for Hugo's death. He didn't even know Hugo all that much and it still made Navi depressed. He didn't want to go on, but he pressed forward. There wasn't much happening on the 4th section; Navi just despondently walked around. A blue Basculin and a Surskit challenged them; but they weren't very strong and where easily taken out. Finally Navi and Jake came upon the entrance to the final section of the mystery dungeon. "Well, here we are the end should just be through here." Navi said to Jake.

(OOC: What about EK? He hasn't posted since the 2nd. It's now the 8th! And what are me and Megaman supposed to do without partners?)

Van made his way to the second floor. A quick Fire Fang later and the Bellsprout that had hit him with her vines was taken out. Van continued searching for the client. She had to be terrified! Van knew because he was getting a little scared.

"Come on, Pachirisu, where are you?" Van said aloud as he found the stairs, being blocked by a Spearow. The Spearow flew at him and knocked him to the ground, sending him rolling and smudging his pure white coat. Van got to his feet and stared at the bird as it circled over head. It flew down for another attack and Van leapt up and caught it with a Poison Fang. He chomped on it and then tossed it aside. He went down the stairs, unaware of the goings on in Asale Town.

(Recruit some new people and make sure they're active. Speaking of which, we need an OOC thread. Dosn't feel right to be fitting OOC discussion into the main RP)

Second floor... things were getting darker down here. If anything, Vor was bound to run into ghost Pokemon, a glaring weakness on his part. Vor would have to be cautious, especially now that he didn't have a partner with him. This wasn't good at all... he probobly should have went back and checked where he was. None the less, best to get this all done and over with. That thief could be anywhere... but he was more bound to be on the third floor.

Being by himself, he was rather limited to his tactics. Many of the moves he had involved a strategy involving the user's partner. Luckily he hadn't gotten into too much trouble yet. Boy he had picked the wrong time to say that... a Ghastly snuck up from behind him and licked him. The feeling made him shudder a moment... He countered the ghost with Shadow Ball. He knew of the effects of Lick. Thankfully he wasn't paralyzed. He wasn't prepared for that situation.

Third floor... this was where that thief was. Vor needed to be sure to keep an eye out... whoever the thief was. Vor realized he was actually getting a bit hungry, so he decided to relax a moment and eat one of his apples. One bite of it filled him up a little. As he finished the apple, he reached into his bag for his extra one. Before he could get a bit from it, Vor was hit on the side of the head and the Apple was snatched away. This caused Vor to black out for a moment but he immediately noticed that all of his stuff was gone! His tie, his berrys, everything! That thief got him good... but he must have still been in the area.

Whatever hit him was quick to have gotten away so quickly... He immediately got moving to hopefully catch this guy.

(I gave him one last warning to post today. If he doesn't post by 9:00 pm my time, he's booted. I'll change the name of the RP to show there is an open spot. Until then, when you two will be partners)

"Well, Zeke said that they had tried all the conventional ways of searching. I guess digging is out of the picture," there were multiple small stones scattered around, all of them were shiny and spaced evenly.
"What if these have somethig to do with it?" Jake started edging around the stone with his blades. Eventually, he got around it and to the bottom. He used a claw like a lever to try and pry it out, but it wouldn't come out. He saw a black line going towards the center of the stones. "What about the others? You start digging up those two, I've got these," Jake started on the other two rocks, eventually getting to the bottom. A black line lead from each to the center of the rocks. He waited for Navi to finish. "What happens if I do this..." Jake jumped up, scraping the water of the ceiling of the dungeon. Some splashed down, hitting a black line. It started steaming, and then turned a light green "Hey, splash it with some water, let's see what happens!"

Van descended to the third floor and looked around. He wondered where his partner was. This was starting to get tough. He sniffed around and walked over and picked up some money that was laying around. He counted it and slipped it into his bag. It had only been 46 Poke. Not really that much. He continued down a dark corridor, his inner fire illuminating only a few feet in front of him. But, he didn't need his eyes. His nose was far more useful in the dark. Speaking of dark, a Poochyena came running up to him. He leapt to the side and crashed into the wall. So much for not needing his eyes. He opened them and set his fangs on fire and charged at the Poochyena, biting down hard on his neck. The Poochyena yipped and began running. No. Van wasn't going to let him escape. A Flamethrower later, and the Poochyena was knocked out. Van walked and tripped over a seed. An Eyedrop Seed to be precise. He put it in his bag. The stairs were not to far away. He walked down them.

Navi and Jake made it to the final section of the dungeon. At first sight it seemed to be a large empty cavern, but taking a closer look they discovered there were several small stones placed in a specific pattern. "What if these have something to do with it?" Jake said. With what? Navi thought, not paying attention. Oh! The treasure! Navi realized. "What about the others? You start digging up those two, I've got these," Jake said and started to dig up the rocks. As Navi was almost finished digging up the last rock when Jake jumped up, scraping the water of the ceiling of the dungeon. Some splashed down, hitting a black line connecting the stones. It started steaming, and then turned a light green "Hey, splash it with some water, let's see what happens!" Jake said "Good idea" Navi said in response, and completely drenched every thing in the cavern with water using surf, including Jake and himself. "Oops sorry." Navi said apologetically.

(Elite Killer has left the RP. let people know that we have one spot left. Someone else has asked to join, but still needs to make an SU)

Jake shook himself off. "It's okay... Just, please don't do that again," a green light filled the area, coming from the black lines in the ground, as well as more steam. The water above and in the middle of the stones shook, and a treasure chest that was not there before fell with a splash.
"Well, that's one way to find treasure. Okay Navi, take us home with that badge."

Rafael would get on a train to the guild and accidently falls asleep after about an hour on the train. As the train came to a stop he wakes up and sighs. As the train approached my stop he would start to wonder who his partner would be. He then hopped off the train and Luna asks me if she could give me a tour and i accepted. He would finish the tour in awe about how big the guild was.

Van entered the fourth floor. He sniffed around. Nope, she wasn't here either. But, she was close. Maybe on the next floor. Van walked around and found a few Geo Pebbles. Three of them. He added them to the bag he was carrying. A Ralts walked over, but Van wasn't going to takew any chances. He pounced on him and bit him with Poison Fang. The Ralts fainted. Van was then hit from behind with a Sludge Bomb. He went rolling and was back on his feet growling at a Seviper. The Seviper slithered towards him and he blasted a Flamethrower at him, which missed. A Roselia entered the room and spotted him and began walking towards him, a dangerous gleam in her eye. Van growled and backed away until he reached the wall. The Seviper swung his tail at Van, glowing with purple power. Van was hit and sent sprawling to the ground. He was back on his feet, but he felt awful. He threw up all over the ground, then blasted the Seviper with his mental power. The Extrasensory knocked the Seviper out, but the Roselia hit him with a Poison Sting. He was already poisoned, so he really didn't care. Van turned and bit the Roselia with Fire Fang, knocking her out too. He sat down and began laughing wildly. His head was starting to hurt a lot. He ate one of his Oran Berries and got back to his feet, feeling revitalised. But, he still felt very sick from the poison. He walked along, searching desperately for the stairs, each step getting harder than the last. He threw up again, took two more steps and fell to the ground. This was too hard. He should have waited for his partner. He pulled the rescue badge out of his bag and tapped it with his nose.

"This... This is Van Flaresoul... I... I need help... Fourth Floor of Pitch Forest... Please... Come quick..." Van whispered, and his rescue request was trnsmitted back to the guild. He'd be the laughing stock of them all. Maybe he wasn't cut out for this after all. No, he couldn't think like that. He just needed to get stronger, that's all. He rolled over on his side, and felt the rest of his strength leaving him. Bah, why was he so weak? Stupid poisoning! He should have bought a Pecha Berry before coming here! Next time he'd know better! That was the thought on his mind as the poison took it's final toll on him, knocking him out.

(OOC: Poor little impatient fox. If only he had waited he might have stood a chance. :\ )

Vor ran after the thief... wherever this guy was at. The 4th floor was by far the largest floor of them all. He remember being told not to go any further then the 4th floor. Heck he could hear loud noises in the second floor. He needed to get his stuff quickly... After fighting his way through various pokemon he finally found a shadowing figure running about. Vor immediately perused. While chasing his target, he picked up a few geo pebbles. He threw them at his target but missed alot of his shots. The only way he would catch this guy is if he cornered him.

The thief made a left turn ahead of him, so Vor made a left turn at a different intersection closer to him. Eventually, he bumped into the thief and had him just where he wanted. The thief was actually a young Sneasel. He had a rather large bag filled with various items.

"So your the thief I've been told about? Vor Hinvick of Team Forerunner. Look we can work things out if you just..." Sneasel wasn't looking to talk. He looked afraid at the most... but his fear caused him to jump out toward vor and begin scratching his face.

"Ah! Ow! Gah!" Vor said. Sneasel continued scratching.

"I won't let you take what I have! I don't have anything else! What am I supposed to do?!" Sneasel yelled. Vor countered with Thunderbolt, shocking the Sneasel that had been on top of him. He rollled off of Vor and got up to his feet.

"I'm willing to resolve all of this peacefully. What's the problem?" Vor asked. Sneasel ignored him and used Faint attack on Vor. Left him with a large scratch mark going across his face but it wasn't permanent. He retaliated using thunderbolt once more. Dealing with a Dark Type tended to be real trouble for Vor as only two of his moves would actually work...

"Stop it! I'm willing to talk!" Vor yelled out. Sneasel sneered and ran off again. This time to one of the deeper parts of the dungeon. "Wait stop! Don't go in there!" Vor insisted. He floated off to catch this Sneasel before it was too late...

5th floor... he wasn't supposed to be down here... but he still had a job too do. He had to take any risks neccesary. He heard a loud yelp fairly closeby. Sneasel... He was getting attacked by a Gengar! Vor wasn't prepared to fight such a strong pokemon... and more of them were coming!

He used Shadow ball on the Gengar to hopefully faze him a little and used Telekenesis to hold onto Sneasel and his bag. Though that wasn't much help... he was still going to get destroyed by this Gengar! To make matters worse, More were coming! Vor assumed it was a monster house but it wasn't that large of a scale. He hurriedly checked through Sneasel's bag for something that would help them... anything!

He checked through a series of orbs... he had an escape orb! That must have been one of his tactics to get away from situations where he was caught... clever. Even if Vor caught him, he would have gotten away. Vor grabbed onto the escape orb. Just as he was about to throw it, Vor was hit by a very powerful shadow ball attack. It caused his head to spin and he was seeing a blur. Without any more second thoughts, he held the orb into the air and caused both Vor and Sneasel to teleport their selves right back to the rescue base. He collapsed onto his knees and hopped somebody from the guild would notice him and the fainted Sneasel... That shadow ball really did Vor in good. Zeke was going to kill him if he found out that Vor went further then the 4th floor... A pikachu walked out the door and immediately noticed the situation.

Various guild members carried the two pokemon inside. Vor wasn't too heavily hurt but boy was his head spinning... While carrying him, he noticed his badge made a blinking sound. Everyone elses badges were blinking too. Somebody was in trouble in one of the mystery dungeons... Darn it all! Vor was in no condition to help... Hearing the message, it turned out that Van was in trouble! "Ugh.... gotta.... help him!" Vor said, struggling. Zeke floated over to where Vor was lieing down. Sneasel was still out cold.

"Calm down. You've exhausted yourself... If yo go down there trying to find Van you'll end up just like him." Zeke said. Vor sighed out of anger.

Vor was suprised to have made it out in his condition... he should have came out alot worse. Maybe that Sneasel was also fighting his way through the dungeon. That would explain why he didn't have so much encounters until the 5th floor... He wasn't sure what the other teams were doing. They were probably all still in dungeons! What to do What to do... He checked the unconcious sneasel's bag and ate the oran berry that was stolen from him to get a bit of Strength back.
