PMD2 Frustration

    Ok, so I'm a level 48 or so Pikachu with a same level Chimchar as my partner. We need to beat "dark Dialga" or whatever he's called. We're at the halfway point in the dungeon, but that's not the hard part. We almost always get to Dialga, but no matter what I do - Discharge, violnet seed, focus punch, he takes at least 400 damage and then kills me or my partner. Is there any foolproof way to beat him, or do I just keep going, leveling up, and finally get lucky?
