    Alice
    Caught between the raging waters,
Choosing to fly rather than swim.
    Isolated from everyone.
    Alone. Safe.

The trees of my sorrows stretch endlessly,
My cottage of isolation holds firm.
Wanting to scream, I need someone to hear me,
    My dolls. My friends.

    Reacting quickly,
    My seal grows stronger.
    With every encounter,
    I work more feverishly.

    My children, my dolls.
Nothing more than creations of my hands.
Yet I hand them my burden,
If only a bit of it.

    A foe appears,
    So I attack.
    My territory is mine,
    Yet they still enter.

To give the gift of life,
Is to make a perfect doll.
    An imperfect creation,
    My frustration doubles.

    Like many before me,
    I take the offensive.
    A turtle has no fangs,
    Only a hard shell.

    The futility of my dream,
Yet the faint chance of success.
    Every attempt brings me closer,
To a point I'll never reach.

    I sealed myself for protection,
    Yet even I need friends.
Though dolls never turn against you,
They are but shadows of myself.

The tears I shed at night,
Are not for my dolls alone.
I cry for my own failure,
    My very own mind.

    They invade my domain,
    So they are the aggressors.
I lash out at those who deserve it,
    The problem isn't me...

    ...right?

    Patchouli
    A recluse in her cell,
    Yet free as a bird.
    For more than a century,
    I have not stirred.

    This world of knowledge,
    Beyond my mere magic.
    For me this is Heaven,
    Though seemingly tragic.

    My constitution is poor,
    But what does that matter?
    Before the arcane,
    All mortals shall shatter.

    I want for little,
    If anything at all.
    So long as I'm here,
    My Voile shan't fall.

    Every page, of every book.
    Fills me with deep hope.
    Eternally reading,
    That's how I cope.

...if I can find "Suika", I'll post that one too.

Of course, I'm saving the more personal ones (Read: 80% of them) for myself. -_-

I write poems when depressed, and short stories when happy. So, yes.

Alice - So confusing...and yet, so clear to understand. Very good!

Patchouli - The rhyming scheme impresses me. A bit of magic to it, I may add.

Eh, these are fairly old. Last year, I really buried myself to get away.

Kaguya and Mokou's Letter Writing Extravaganza!

And now, presenting the Writing Touhou After Exams! series.

In short, I'm eating up the remaining time on exams by... You guessed it, writing Touhouetry.

    Mokou
    Grudge of one thousand,
    Malicious fire.
    Ending your reign,
    On my spiteful pyre.

    Relief from this curse,
    This pain without death.
    I'll wrench it out,
    Of your dying breath.

    Your parasitic retainer,
    Who calls herself wise.
    Mocking me with,
    Her coolly told lies.

    Uttering here,
    Night after night,
    My undying oaths,
    Of unfath'mable spite.

    Your fortress in flames,
    My ultimate goal.
    My revenge, the kindling.
    My hatred, the coal.

    For two foes who live,
    Know only the other.
    This intimate rage,
    Like a thrice-now loathed brother.

    For sharing this curse,
    We are both forsaken.
    But this is your wish,
    And my death was taken.

    Moment of rashness,
    Unending being.
    Hell without Hell,
    Eternally fleeing.

    If I truly hate thee,
    As I have stated,
    I will do so forever,
    Accursedly fated.

    Gods damn the Moon,
    And gods damn the Sun.
    Entertain me in this,
    Until we are done.

    Lunarian Pity
I hear your words and answer them,
    O Princess of Low Birth.
Hear my small plea though thou art like
    The Moon above the Earth.

My fortress is clear, the doors ajar
    In eager anticipation.
And forgive me now, O Fiery Queen,
    For our unjust retaliation.

For many years in my Lunarian keep,
I have wept for thought of you.
For a horrible tyrant I have been,
    And reparations are surely due.

I ask you please, O Flaming God,
    Who's purity beautifies stone,
    To punish not the innocent,
    The blame is mine alone.

    Your righteous fury impresses me,
    And teaches my heart fear.
But you have misjudged this Lunarian girl.
For you I'll waste no tears.

    Indignation
You pompous wretch, with sharpened tongue,
You sin of pride and greed!
My own hands shall cure your plight,
And in death you'll be freed.

For you so high upon your throne,
    A bastardized lunate queen,
    A fugitive, yet royalty,
    True horror you have seen.

    For in your pond'rous solitude,
    While living in waking Hell,
Have truly more to cause despair,
Then me, the one that fell.

So I ask you, O Repentant One,
    The exile so alone,
Extend to me your damning love,
And cease the pain I've little known.

For surely I, the one who lives,
    In Houses of Eternity,
Am wretched before the Pitiful Queen,
Scum who should cease to be.

I beg your pardon, so sincere and great,
And the pardon of thy friends.
    Surely, with such holy light,
    Would seek to make amends?

    Revelation
    Your sincerity shocks me,
And leaves me in awe of you.
    Literate and intelligent,
    You cannot be Mokou.

Yeah, somehow I found the thought of Kaguya and Mokou sending letters full of thinly veiled insults back and forth to be utterly hilarious.

And I strongly considered changing the second and fourth lines of the last reply to Kaguya telling Mokou to screw off.

But, of course, that would be childish. Heh heh heh...

EDIT: I love how Kaguya's response can be boiled down to, "You suck, you're an idiot, and... You're ugly."

Mokou - An interesting sadistic theme.
    And I loved the rhymes.
Lunarian Pity - An awesome, and fictional, work of poetry. Very nice words.
Indignation - I adore how you describe the importance of repentance. It has to be done.
    Revelation - Ehh.....no comment. :cer_blush:

    Overall, terrific writing!

    Quiet, reserved.
    A kindly, gentle silence.
    Tranquility incarnate,
The model of a true woman.

    Slow to anger,
    With awesome fury.
    Yet immediately calm again.

    Gently embraced
    by her white love,
    Utterly tranquil.

    Dreary, sad,
    Quiet, lonely,
    Joyful, loving,
    Mixed, unpredictable.

    Deadly, wielding a sharp knife.
    Loving, with distant affection.
    Wrathful, with biting fury.

    She is unpredictable, and hated.
    She brings solace, and beloved.
Unlike her younger sister, she brings naught but death.

    And yet, this fearsome being,
    This white, enigmatic creature,
    Is perhaps
    My favorite of the four.

    Though I love them all.

Hmmm....the dark mood in your poetry reminds me of someone.
    ...Interesting.
