I don't think we can online trade 'mons in generations 4 and 5 now, because Nintendo had permanently taken down their Wifi Servers for DS/DSi and Wii. :/

Yes, what destinedjagold is saying is correct. There's no more wifi trading or battling for gen 4 and 5 games, sorry!
