The Pokéathlon Scoring Event

All the emblems! (Those need to be in the top of the thread)

Welcome to the Pokéathlon Scoring Event! This event is for everyone who likes the Pokéathlon! That means everyone! So be sure to follow these steps closely to enter: (and you want to go over the "steps" to look what they are)​

First step​

To enter, just post copy and paste those in your post and answer them:

Username:
Name of game:
Pokémon:
Category (Amateur or Athlete):
Event (Stamina, Speed etc.):

That's all!

Second step​

• Decide in what catogory you belong: "Amateurs" or "Athletes" Amateurs means not being the "Pokéathlon Champion" thus not have beaten it 100%. Being Athlete means have beaten the Pokéathlon and participate in the DIFFICULT VERSION OF THE POKÉATHLON. That means, with the gym leaders and stuff.

• Now, chooose what event you want

• Once you got a score you think is decent, you want to take 2 pictures of that score and post them in this thread.

• Then, you can of course if you got a higher score say that to us and that will count. Still a video.

• Then, wait untill we decided who's the winner!

Third step​

There are eleven total emblems. Ten of them are for winning a particular event, (there are 5 total) and those are also divided into the two catogories. And one is for participating.

What we still need​

We need:
• Emblems made
• Don't know anything else; if you know something please say it.​

Allright, that is it! Now to organize it and change rules maybe a bit.​

I think we will, but since my photoshoping skills aren't that good I don't think I can handle it... And we'll have an emblem for all participaters and that will be the same.

In my opinion, just to make things much easier; why not get the participants to take a photo of their overall Pokeathelon Score? I mean, I don't understand how it is unfair if everyone goes through one game and records their scores. Overall I think if we had it this way it would be much less confusing for both parties. But hey, it's your event; just throwing it out there. Oh and btw; if you do need help with the emblems I will be happy to help out making them - that is - if you don't want to - I am not the best of artists but I can whip up something nifty. Up to you again.

Yeah just throwing ideas out there so you can refine the event.
Another sugestion; Perhaps giving out ONLY the winning members emblems from each catergory.

Stamina - 1st place = emblem.
Speed - 1st place = emblem.

Since different games have different scoring methods; plus if you were to give out 1 - 3 emblems it would have to be for every event; therefore a massive amount of emblems.

I'd agree with this. We have 10 first place emblems one for each category in both classes and the another one for participants. I wouldn't let me make it, it'd probably look bad and be filled with Vaporeon and other Pokemon I like.

Yeah that's fine, and you get an emblem too for participating, and some extras. I think the Shining Emblem is a good way to let shiny hunters join in this event, (believe me I'm one myself and one of the things I would want as a shiny hunter the most is an emblem with a shiny on it) and like 1 or 2 others. Any ideas?

The thread included that if you don't have a cam recorder, you need to contact us and we'll find a solution.

I agree, I think a few snapshots is enough to prove that the participants aren't cheating.
Also, imo; I don't find the shining emblem necessary since it wouldn't be fair. If you enter a shiny pokemon then the participants have already got an extra emblem, plus everyone would probably enter a shiny pokemon just to get the emblem. I think that by winning emblems you've EARNED them which is what you have to do to obtain one in the first place. (Excluding participation emblem.) Plus there is no real difference between shiny and non shiny they all are equal just not in their colourisation, so by saying that it will let them into the event; it's sort of giving off the impression that they weren't invited to participate initially.

I'll agree that you should only really have emblems for winners and maybe participants - extra stuff just = unnecessary bother (remember mods have to give each emblem out and given all the other events...) So yeah - another award just for using a shiny Pokemon seems unnecessary to me.

Also still feel that photo proof is all one would need, and that video proof shouldn't be the preferred form. After all it's just easier to do for the competitiors (and means they'll be more included to join in if they find making a video to be too much hassle) and I still find it very, very unlikely that anyone will go to the lengths of photoshopping images.

allright, the extra emblems are cancelled. And we'll let people take some pictures insteas. What about 2 pictures? And I can't edit the thread easily now, on my iPod. And hey I got an idea: what about that the emblems have three pokes in them which the user used? We could already make the emblems and then put the OWs in quickly, how does that sound?

I like that idea personally, have we found anyone who would be willing to make them yet though. And what about a Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon for the participant emblem ;)

Hmm what about the three favorite pokémon of the organisators? so,

Vaporeon = vaporeon7
Shiny Swellow = pokewalker
Nidoqueen = paradox
