Um... I meant... well, I think I didn't phrase that well.

Anyway, let's see... The photos will be posted directly on the event thread itself. We'll run the event for 4 days. After the 4 days have passed, we'll begin judging every entry - split 1:1 for both of us. You should know the judging criteria - try to tell me what do the 4 criteria mean.

We need to get all 10 emblems... ready. Or at least 4 - top three and participant. We don't have much time until the 13th.

OK then. I'm busy snapping stuff... set to a completely white and black backgrounds for further use.

Why do I have a feeling that 10 emblems feel like overkill?

OK... I made these emblems. The Snivy one will have to do some edge clean-up, though. Black edges never look right.
Incidentally, these are intended for Category C.

the criteria? you mean the thing you put in the first post? d: i also think concept, ideas and creativity play a big part! like, if someone had a pretty smart idea but couldn't get the idea out well, i would award them points for having a cool concept! Or does that come under "appeal"?

OKAY YEAH, the 13th as in american time? that's four days! i work today and tomorrow, but i get plenty of time in between so i have until the 14th really! don't worry! whilst im working, i'll try to think of plenty of ideas for the emblems!

but my idea for the participation emblem was pretty neat, don't you think?

I think I'll be using your participation emblem. As for my emblems... Do you think they'll be a good fit?

Appeal, in this case, refers to how the image is going to have an impression on the viewer. A lasting impression. If someone won't be interested in looking at it, points are going to be docked in this category.
 
Awesome! Yes, your emblems are very good for a first second and third, very colourful indeed! The only thing is that black line around the Snivy, its so ... damn it for a black outline! if you send me the .psd, i might be able to smooth it out?

It won't be needed, as the method of submission is very simple - just posting with the requested items should do it.

edit: haha i've been taking a long time, but i finally managed to work out how to use the set background! D;!

but the pictures of reshiram i managed to take were quite low quality, i don't know why! i'll just stick with your pictures for now!

edit: added an attachment! it's not finished yet, just an idea i had, since its called snap, why not base the emblems of pokemon snap the game?

May I also have a copy of the camera layer in PNG? I would like it to be applied to every emblem except for the Amateur AR Photographer emblem.

https://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/ Download this first if you need to use imported photos from another source, mainly another camera.

1. Duplicate a photo that's not from the 3DS.
2. Put the two photos into the program using Load Left/Right Imgae (or something...), and let it make a MPO file out of them.
3. Remember to click "For Nintendo 3DS" and resize to 640x480. Set quality to preference.
4. The MPO file needs to be on the SD Card. It must reside in DCIM\the latest photo folder, with the filename HNI_0XXX.MPO, where XXX is a number from 001 to 100.
5. Reinsert the SD Card into the 3DS, open Nintendo 3DS Camera, and attempt to view photos.
6. Wait for a moment for the software to recognise the change, and give it a bit of time to refresh the view.
7. BAM! There's your imported photo for use!

I've been working on the preview image as well! i thought it would be a cool idea to use this picture https://www.worldofstock.com/slides/TAW2050.jpg and have virizon standing there d: since i dont actually have many on my pokedex, and virizon was one of those "find and free" ones, i'm using it d:

EDIT: added the sample picture! how does that look? should i add some "magic" to virizon? like maybe some yellow sparkles or something?

Depth of field, glow, bloom, fake HDR, the works... since you'll be doing Category C.
 
I'm trying to think what... to add. haha. virizion is known for swordplay but i can't really add that. haha, i might start the second one while i think about things. but seriously, i think it's really cool to look at. d: like uh... like a cool idea! she even looks like a trainer, that wasn't even intentional!
 
Also, about the Tepig emblem... now, make the background stylised like the others, fix the rough edges (I love duplicating layers and blurring them slightly), and... well, do your thing.

im really sorry, my dad stole the computer last night, i was hoping on getting back online but i fell asleep and then he turned the computer off! it didn't save anything so i am so frustrated right now.

i'm just remaking that tepig one now, but i can't do anything now with the virizion one. GUGUHDF

I took the first one and the last one, messed around with the saturation by using overlays, and BAM, 2 more emblems. Just two more, and we're all set! I also put your example image into the examples list.
