[Based on the manga, +Anima]​

There is a phenomenon that nearly all know about, but few believe. It is said that when a child, before the age of fourteen, is close to death, the power of a Pokémon is bestowed upon them with the hope that it will help them survive. This power, a spirit called a Pokéma, creates a mark upon the child's body, from which, at will, the child can change that part of their body into a Pokémon part, and back again. No one knows the true power of these Pokéma, but a child who is blessed in one man's eyes will be cursed in another's. The child may use the Pokéma for as long as they need to, right into adulthood, but once they have found a place where they are cared for, and safe, the Pokéma is needed no more, and it leaves to help another child.

Most +Pokéma live on the mainland of Johto and Kanto. In Kanto, +Pokéma are generally seen as things to be afraid of, as savage, inhuman beings, and may be chased out of town, but other places accept them freely. For some reason, all +Pokéma are viewed as the same entity, so if one +Pokéma does something wrong, it becomes believed that all +Pokéma do the same. +Pokéma must act carefully while in Kanto. If they manage to traverse the tough mountain terrain of Silver, Johto's customs are different. There, all +Pokéma may live and work as they wish - as long as they can identify themselves as the slaves of others. A group of +Pokéma all owned by one person often travel together around the region. They can do as they please under the laws of Johto, but if they do wrong, it is the owner who is punished. Free +Pokéma are often captured to be sold to the slave owners. There are known to be +Pokéma in Hoenn, Sinnoh and Isshu, but these places are far from the mainland, and take many weeks to travel too by ship, and so will not be seen during the RP.

You, a +Pokéma, have heard of a gathering taking place at Lavender Tower, where a well-known Flygon +Pokéma named Janin is looking for accomplices to help him raid a slave shipment in Goldenrod in Johto. You think it might be a good idea; you were recently run from your home town after being discovered as a +Pokéma, and you think it would be better if the laws were changed in Johto, and views changed in Kanto, because then you could have a normal life.

Name: Florence McTunnel

Age: 18

Pokéma: Florence's Pokema is an elaborate group of rings around his joints, including his eyes, neck, jaw line, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, thighs, wrist, and fingers. When his Pokema activates, his skin becomes that of a Rhyhorn's hide, covering his entire body not marked by the black rings. A small horn protrudes in an upward curve and stops at his forehead's length. The Pokema gives him superb resistance to pain, although comes at the price of reduced speed and agility thanks to becoming much heavier. The rock-like hide also allows him to hit harder.

Personality: Florence is a sensitive person, as well as kind to others. While he has no problem communicating, and can carry a conversation, he takes criticism very seriously to the point of even the most obscure and offhand remark will put him in a depressed state. To go along with his sensitivity, Florence also has a small case of depravity, and although small things like comments will unnerve him, important and serious events such as a death in his family will not have any effect on him. Multiple times during family funerals, Florence had asked himself if he was actually sad that the person was gone.
Instead of letting those around him know how he feels, Florence hides his emotions from others, and chooses not to talk about himself, feeling uncomfortable when people try to dig into his life.

To mask himself, Florence created the persona of a smartass to create a barrier from others, allowing him to unhealthily bottle his anger, sorrow, and depression up deep inside. This "Thick Skin" he created leaves him with a feeling of isolation, and though he yearns to tell others how he truly feels, Florence fears being ridiculed for it, and holds himself back. The only time he allows his created ego to take a back seat is to help others, which fills Florence with a sense of belonging and importance.

History: Florence was born to a mediocre family in Celadon City. The middle child of three boys, he was unfortunate to be the neglected child, as his older brother demanded attention for having seniority of young Florence, and his younger brother was the baby of the family, who automatically received the most attention of all. When talking of his baby years, his mother would always remark how much Florence cried compared to his siblings, and how he would always be hiding behind her when upset. Although his family did not have any struggles beyond the occasional arguments, there is literally nothing to talk about besides the fact that Florence felt he was never close to any of them, and insists that they never made the attempt to know him.
School was another matter entirely. The first couple years of schooling were pretty typical for Florence. Finger-painting, learning the alphabet, and learning simple numbers was a day to day routine, and there was nothing out of the ordinary. Problems started to arrive very early in his school career; Grade 1 to be exact. Classmates began to notice that Florence was very sensitive to external forces and cried easily, which became a source of amusement for many of them. It wasn't long before a group of bullies were started to make the young lad's school life a living hell. Everyday they'd come into class and insult him for having a 'girly' name, rip his papers, and sometimes even throw him to the floor. All of this was done simply to upset the poor child.

This went on for years with little to no facility attempt to put an end to it. There would even be points where the teacher would make a remark or two. In all the years of grades one through eight, Florence hadn't a single friend, and no one he could reach out to. When thinking to himself alone in his room, he decided to bury himself from the world. The next day, Florence distanced himself from the class, and refused to take part in class projects. Slowly, the boy acted like his bullies, and used the things that tormented his own life to 'recreate himself,' with the thought of being something other than himself would be the answer to his problem.

This 'recreation' did not stop there, and a phenomenon occurred during a dark time in his life. His plan started to fail, and Florence felt that he could not keep up the act. The boy, now thirteen, made an attempt on his life with a knife. Florence took the knife to his throat and was about to make the slice before weird markings started to form around him. He hadn't the slightest clue what was happening, and feared for his life. Looking at himself in a mirror, he liked how he looked, thinking that it made himself appear to have tattoos. After Florence's initial approval of the new look, the thought of what the other kid's would say made him feel bad about himself, and he quickly reverted back to his depressed mood and once again took the knife to his throat. At this moment, his Pokema activated for the first time. The hard outer shell he had spent so much time building around his emotions took a physical form. The boy panicked, thinking it was permanent, and did not know how to control it or turn it off until he calmed himself down and serenely thought about going back to normal.

His family was quite shocked, and cried upon seeing the markings on him. Although he ran the risk of prosecution, Florence still attended school after a brief three week absence. He tried to explain the markings off as tattoos he got on a vacation and most if not all fell for the rouse. While the myth of +Pokemas were rampant amongst the people of Kanto, they were very ignorant about them, and not many have actually seen one, allowing Florence to pass by simply as a weirdo. After graduation, his parents decided it was too risky for them to keep him in Kanto where there were many radicals, and sent him to Johto to be a laborer on the farm of a family friend.

Appearance: Florence stands at five feet nine inches tall and weighs 160 lbs. He is slender and looks very frail, with little muscle. His eyes are a light blue, and his hair is short, stringy, and brown.

Clothing wise, Florence tends to stay very basic, changing only slightly from day to day. To hide as much of his "tattoos" as possible, Florence is always seen in faded blue jeans, black shoes, and a short sleeved t-shirt. He also wears leather gloves and a pair of sunglasses to hide his hands and eyes respectively. He allows people to see his elbow and neck markings, and can usually get away with insisting that they are tattoos, though there have been times when he confessed the truth.

Name: Seraphine Young

Age: 10

Pokéma: Seraphine is a Cyndaquil +Pokéma. She had four starshaped spots on her back, arranged very much in the same way as a Cyndaquil's. The first two is on her shoulder blades and the other pair is at the base of her rib cage. If a line could be drawn to link a spot to the next nearest one, a square will be formed. Likewise, if you connect one spot to the farthest one, you'll get a cross. When it manifests, Seraphine's back flares with bright red flames. There is one very easily noticeable warning when she is about to blow: her skin blackens quickly. It is advisable that everyone, friends and foes alike, keep their distance then because she had no control whatsoever over the flames. Seraphine can only choose to activate or not to activate her powers.

Personality: She is highly suspicious of people and difficult to get along with. She can be rather sarcastic if she is not given the liberty to speak her thoughts. "I trust you." is possibly the highest form of praise Seraphine can give. The Cyndaquil +Pokéma has a tendency to look for mistakes and shortcomings in any plan or idea. And she is not afraid to tell the world loudly about that "tiny" error either if she thinks it is the Achilles' heel of a strategy until it is fixed or convinced otherwise.

Seraphine is not a team player and prefers to be alone. Given a choice, she woould not approach people at all. But it is a great idea to trust her anyway; she can be relied upon to come up with a foolproof plan within a short time, complimented with other contigency plans should something go wrong. As her plans go on to fail her, her mind gets clouded by doubt. If three of her ideas did not work out well for her in a row, Seraphine begins to fall apart. It is quite likely then she just gives up hope and surrender to failure.

Seraphine does not like to fight. Her small size makes it easy for her to hide and escape, which is probably why she never try to harness the flames on her back.

Appearance: A true shortie, she stands at no more than 1.3 metres. Also quite a lightweight, Seraphine's weight is only 40 kilogrammes at most. Her expressionless blood red eyes allows the viewer to describe them in anyway he likes, but they are described as "searching the most private place of your soul for your deepest, darkest secret to blackmail you with" half of the time. The upside-down slight "smile" does not help to project friendliness of any sort either. Seraphine looked like the kind of no-nonsense person you'll expect to be serious all the time.

Seraphine's black hair touches the middle of her neck. She has a brown bandana tied around her head, giving her the appearance of a young boy with brown hair. She wears a simple green short sleeve T-shirt and dark blue trousers. Her sneakers are purple. It's almost certain that her clothes are stolen.

Name: Namole Kujo

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Pokéma: Tentacool. His marking is a small red spot in the middle of his forehead, and a larger red spot on each shoulder. The spots reflect light, like gems. When his Pokéma manifests, a pair of tentacles emerge from his body, one under each arm. His body becomes pale blue and more malleable, allowing him to withstand blunt impacts. He can also breathe underwater in this form.

Personality: Namole is a quiet boy, rarely ever talking. He usually seems completely focused on whatever he is doing, or even staring unnervingly at people. He is actually rather inattentive, usually too "spaced out" to even pay attention to what's happening.

He is a very laid-back person, prefering things to go as smoothly as possible. He will usually just sit back and let things happen, but when he gets involved in something, he becomes incredibly serious, planning and performing with cold precision.

He has begun to care for other people more, and his biggest regret is leaving behind a pair of +Pokéma so he could escape. He has resolved to help who he can, and protect any who come to him for aid.

History: Namole was born in Cianwood City. The son of a Sailor, he was fascinated by the sea. He would often go swimming in the ocean, and loved nothing more than floating on top of the waves. His father raised the boy by himself, so these swimming sessions were a good way for Namole to pass the time while his father was away.

When he was 8, he swam farther than he ever had before, testing his limits. The waves were much stronger than he expected, however, and he had trouble returning to shore. A storm came and carried him off, straight towards the Whirl Islands. He became trapped in a whirlpool, and nearly drowned. Luckily for him, a Tentacool Pokéma came to his aid. It grnated him the ability to breathe underwater, so he didn't drown. His soft body was able to withstand being dashed against the rocks, which he could effortlessly cling to with his strong tentacles.

After the storm passed, he was able to swim back to shore. The townsfolk noticed his markings, and became uneasy. Under pressure from city officals, his father had him tagged as a +Pokéma and sold to a businessman from Kanto. He was put to work on the docks of Olivine, where he could be put to good use.

Several years later, Namole still worked on the docks, working as a laborer and personal assistant to his owner. He was in charge of the +Pokéma working there, charged with maximizing efficiency. When he heard of Janin, he decided that he would leave the docks and help liberate others like himself.

Appearance: Namole is short for his age, standing slightly over 4 feet. His life as a swimmer and dock worker has given him a muscular build, and he is quite strong. His skin is darkly tanned, and his red hair is cut into a mullet. His eyes are normally green, but become pure white when manifesting his Pokéma. His face is otherwise very plain, and he doesn't emote very well.

He wears blue denim shorts and sturdy sandals, the uniform for laborers at the dock he worked at. He wears a blue and white striped shirt, with the arms lengthened to cover his shoulder marks, and holes cut into it below the arms for his tentacles. He wraps a white cloth around his forehead to hide his forehead marking.

In the shipping yards of Olivine City, the laborers are preparing to send out a ship, having just brought in a merchant ship. The owner of the laborers oversees the operation, followed by the "lead" Pokéma. Things hadn't been going well. The Pokéma were restless, and starting to complain.

"Look at them. These pathetic creatures can't do anything right. You know, Namole, I'm starting to think they don't understand what I pay them for."

"You don't pay us."

"Allow them to live for, then. I mean, first we lose one of them, then they forget to tie up a ship properly, making it float away, and they broke some of the last shipment we brought in. If this business goes any further south we're going to be in the Orange Islands."

"I'll take care of it, sir. We'll unload this shipment and send off the next boat smoothly."

Namole heads down to the docks, thinking through his plan. He didn't have much time to get to Lavender Town, and the Fast Ship S. S. Aqua was his best chance to escape.

He and the other two workers quickly unload the merchant ship. One of them, a nine-year-old girl, was a Machop +Pokéma. She manifested large muscular arms when faced with enormous weights. She was vital to his plan...

As the Fast Ship was preparing to leave, Namole jumps into the water. His Pokéma manifests, and he swims over to the support structure for the crane that the normal human workers were allowed to use. He had convinced his other worker, a young Krabby +Pokéma, to weaken it while cleaning the underside of the boats. The Fast Ship begins leaving the port, warming it's engines. Using his strong tentacles, Namole is able to break two of the supports, causing the crane to fall towards the docks. Up on top, the young girl is caught in it's path, her Pokéma manifesting to save her. She throws the large hook away from her, sending it through the window of the office. Namole grips the underside of the ship as it speeds away from Olivine City, headed straight for Vermillion.

Name: Allister Shay Delacroix
Age: 14
Pokéma & Appearance: (I'm breaking your Basic pokemon rule with this, but I have a great story behind it)
A bit on the small side, Allister stands at a meager five foot four (5'4) and weighs 110 pounds. Despite this, one wouldn't describe him as "scrawny" because he is a very athletic and looks it. He has a lighter skin tone, although he is lightly tanned from being outdoors often. Allister keeps his black hair pretty short, aside from his bangs which hang unevenly just above his eyes. To appear different and stand out, he dyed the ends of his bangs a light blue.
One of his unusual features are his unseeing, pale blue eyes. Because he cannot see, he simply looks straight ahead all of the time. His +Pokema marking is a black silhouette of a Luxray that is just below his collarbone. He also has dark "stripes" on his arms similar to the pattern on Luxray's forelegs.
When his Pokema manifests, Allister's eyes turn red with yellow pupils and he gains the ability to not only see, but see through solid objects. He also has the thin, signature tail of Luxray, tipped with a yellow "star".
As for attire, Allister dresses for his profession. His wardrobe consists of a single color: black. This is for camouflage at night, when he is typically active. Allister wears a black, mesh football (American Football) jersey. On the back, it has his last name in white lettering near the top. Below it reads the number 17. With the jersey, Allister wears long black shorts that go just past his knees. His signature accessories are a whole lot of black rubber bracelets of various sizes that run from his wrists to about half-way up his arms. This is to cover up the Luxray "stripes".

Personality:Allister is a really pleasant person. One wouldn't expect this from a teenager who grew up in poor circumstances. The key to this is that he doesn't let what other people think get him down. Allister also has low expectations of others, making him rather easy to please. He deals with negative people in a cold, almost nasty way. If you don't like him, fine, but he won't treat you like a person.

Allister is usually quiet, respectful, and really nice. The problem with him is his hot temper. He is fairly easy to set off, and can be flat-out vicious when he's angry with/at someone.

Allister often surprises people with his accurate memory and observance. He notices things that others might not. The sharp memory can also work in a negative way. Allister remembers bad things more clearly than positive things.

Allister has a knack for stealing without being noticed.


History:
Allister Shay grew up with his father and older brother in a french quarter of Saffron City. His father was at work most of the time, because he couldn't afford the house if he worked any less than six days a week. Allister and his brother went to a rather large, public school full of people they didn't like. His brother had friends, but Allister was sort of an outcast. This didn't bother him in the least.
One day, Mr. Delacroix didn't come home. Allister waited for weeks, still hoping that his father would come back. Since his brother wasn't old enough to take care of him, he was sent to various foster homes.
At each of these miserable little foster homes, Allister felt more and more neglected. His "best friend"s always got adopted. The first few times this occured, it was pretty hard on Allister. After a while, he got used to having different friends each week. On his ninth birthday, he expected people to tell him "Happy Birthday!" No one remembered. To a nine year old like Allister, this was crushing. He decided after very little thought that he would run away ('cuz that always works in movies XD).
On his first night, someone tried to snatch him off the streets. He gave them a few memorable injuries, but he recieved a serious head injury, a cracked rib, and a broken ankle. The only thing he remembers after passing out is waking up in the hospital. One thing was very wrong. Allister knew his eyes were open, but he couldn't see anything. He asked the nurse that was tending to him to turn on the lights. She explained to him that the lights were, in fact, on. Allister was outraged by the fact that he could not see. So again, he ran away (well, limped away) a second time. His injuries got to him and he fell sick.When he was found, he was pronounced clinically dead, but they revived him in the hospital. The doctors who thought that they had revived him noticed strange markings on him. The Luxray Pokema had brought him back and restored his sight when it manifested.
After this incident, Allister went back to one of the foster homes that he had lived at. Life dragged on, as miserable as usual, but Allister was happy. The foster parents realized that the "depressed kid" was actually happy. They couldn't inderstand why. The reason Allister was so happy was because of his new abilities. At night, he would manifest his Pokema and be able to see. He thought the tail was fantastic too.
When he was eleven, someone found out that he was a Pokema. This person had a hard time convincing people of her claim. Then, Allister disappeared without a trace.
The person who "stole" him was a sly Glameow Pokema whose age at the time was sixteen. She was kown only as "Miss Demeanor". Miss D. trained her new tool in the ways of a cat burgler (No pun intended). She took advantage of his ability to see through solid objects. Together, they robbed house after house. Miss Demeanor had intended to get rid of him like she did to the other Pokema she had taken advantage of, but she just didn't have the heart. "Felony" Delacroix became her permanent partner in crime.

If Celeste wanted to track down the intruders, she would've found them already. She knew she would have to be patient and keep her head down if she had any hopes to uncover what Team Rocket was planning to do on the train bound for Snowpoint.
Observance is key, Celeste, if you want to succeed. You have to see the details and the big picture if you ever want to be a PI.
Celeste leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes.
Turn off your mind and listen.
She listened to the hum of the train's heating system. She listened to the snow blowing against the windows. She listened to the chatter off the people all around her. They wandered from subject to subject.
"Did you see that Pokemon contest?"
The voice belonged to an older man, maybe in his mid-60's.
"I have to say that I prefer ice-types, like my Weavile."
This was a younger man, maybe twenty.
"Have you ever seen a wild Gible? They are so cool!"
"A front just passed through the area."
"Wow! It's below freezing outside!"
All of this, of course, was of no use to her.
Moments later, a little boy's voice addressed her.
"Do you have any Pokemon?" he asked, innocently. His mother quickly scolded him for bothering other passengers on the train.
"It's all right, Miss," Celeste told her. Then, she turned to the little boy to answer his question.
"Yes, I do have Pokemon. I have a Skarmory and a Growlithe."
The boy's eyes lit up.
"So you're a Pokemon trainer? Wow! Can I see the Pokemon?"
Celeste looked back and forth to see if she had enough space to send out both of her Pokemon.
"Well, Celeste explained, "there isn't enough room in the train car for both of my Pokemon, but I can let you see Growlithe."
"Yay!"
When the boy was done petting Growlithe, his mother thanked her quietly before continuing on to their seats.
After a few more minutes of listening to more dull chatter, the train stopped. Panic among the passengers ensued. Celeste was completely unphased by these occurrences. She had actually been waiting for it. She released her two Pokemon companions from their pokeballs. Skye, her Skarmory, stretched its razor-sharp wings out, unnerving some other passengers. Zero, her Growlithe, wasn't as intimidating.
"C'mon guys, let's see what the Rockets have been up to."
Growlithe and Skarmory raced each other down the center aisle.
"Careful, guys!" she warned. "The other passengers were disturbed as it is!"
Celeste slid open the door. She was greeted by a blast of wickedly cold air. She stepped carefully onto the coupling between the two cars and got off the train. In a few quick leaps, Zero was on the ground alongside her. Their feet were buried in nearly a foot of light, fluffy snow. After less than a minute out in the cold, Celeste was shivering. She brushed her blonde hair out of her face. Let's get this over with.
The small group ran parallel to the unmoving train. Team Rocket wasn't all that hard to find, considering that thick, black smoke was billowing out of one of the train cars. That can't be a good thing. Zero, Skye, and Celeste made their way through the soft snow to the damaged train car. Just outside of the car stood another trainer. He looked about seventeen and was accompanied by a rather fierce looking Gabite. The fact that Celeste recognized him from before was for her, shocking.
"Adam? What--?" Celeste called to him.
When the trainer heard her, he yelled something directed towards the smoking hull of the train car. Two Team Rocket grunts stepped out of the car.

Name: Terrance Whitefield
Age: 12
Pokéma: Terrance's +Pokéma is magikarp. A large mouth-like ink-spot is on his stomach, with lines which draw to his back, forming a large spanning dorsal fin, and from that point two lines from his back ascend to his head, forming two more head fins. A stubby tail is on his back.
Personality: Terrance is known to be very volatile, having anger control issues. *Under construction*
History: Terrance was born with leukemia, therefore, has no hair from his birth. He was at risk of dieing at the age of ten, and was hospitalized for a year. The doctors were close to pulling the plug on him, but suddenly, a light flashed, *Under Construction*

Name: Roan Wittaker

Age: 12 years, 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days.

Pokéma: Roan has an eevee Pokema on his forehead, which looks like a small clump of grass. It manifests as an extra pair of eevee-like ears that allow him to pick up even the faintest of noises, given the right circumstances. His hair also changes to a light brownish colour.

Personality: Roan is, for lack of a better word, excessively shy. Upon first meeting most people, he will either run and hide behind someone that he does trust with tears welling up behind his eyes, or just freeze in place with his pupils dilating to a point where they do not even appear human anymore! If he does manage to speak at this point in time, he stutters quite a bit.

After he gets to know you (and vice versa) Roan can be a little clingy, but he is cautiously enthusiastic about any task given to him by a superior. His smile, although rare these days, is the kind of smile that can make people feel that everything will be okay, so long as there's a smile left somewhere on earth!

In a nutshell though, Roan is quiet, hard-working and more than a little shy, but if you can get past his shortcomings, you've got a loyal friend in him!

History: Roan was a miracle baby. His parents had been told that they could not have children so when his mum became pregnant, there were praises and high-hopes all around. His birth, while turbulant, still went along without a hitch. The golden-haired miracle of the maternity ward cried a lot, but hey, that's what babies do!

As Roan grew older, his parents noticed that he was behind in several key areas of his development. Despite every doctor they went to saying that he was still progressing within an acceptable threshold for his age. Roan's dad didn't agree, so he set about teaching the boy how to fight, as well as giving him as much love and additional education as he could.
One fine, not-at-all-dark-or-stormy-day, Roan and his parents were enjoying a picnic when a group of thugs surrounded them, demanding money. Roan hid behind his dad, who promptly delivered a sound beating to the thugs, only to be killed. As soon as the thugs turned on Roan, his +pokema came to him. Being born and raised in Kanto, the only conscious thug freaked out and ran, as did Roan's mum.

All alone in the world, Roan shrank away from anyone that looked at him. He had nearly lost all hope of knowing love and compassion when he heard about the meeting. After fighting every urge in his body to run the other way, to find a cave and live among the zubat, he made his way there. What happens next? Stay tuned!

Appearance: Roan is pretty average-looking from every angle, aside from his honey-brown eyes, which are protected by a pair of glasses that look like they could be put to better use in a telescope than on his head, but without them, he is even more useless than he would be if he had them.

Roan's hair is an average-ish golden blonde colour and just so happens to have grown low enough to cover his marking nicely. With a simple breeze, he would be unmasked, but that has yet to be too much of an issue.

Roan's clothes are as simple and average as he is. A simple white t-shirt, well-warn jeans and a pair of sneakers are all that he has at the moment, but he will gladly accept anything else that a person he trusts would give him.

As Wildfire approached the ruins, he could see that his first goal was to move the huge red 'W' that blocked the entrance. He stared at it for a while as he walked around it, but he couldn't figure out how to move it without hurting himself in some way.

"Who even put this here?" he yelled as he gave the sign a swift kick. Shards of glass fell from it as he scrambled back. Luckily, he managed to get out of the way with only a few scrapes before a huge piece of glass came crashing down. The resulting hole was big enough for a decent-sized person to fit through. Wildfire was rather short for his age, so he managed to easily sneak in and find another piece of the sign that had fallen away, which gave him a way in...

Name: Trey Clayton Henderson (Lets close friends call him 'Chrome' cuz of his reflective personality)
Gender: Male
Age: 13
+Pokéma: Trey's +Pokéma is of a Gible, and he has a mark of a meteorite and its trail down his right arm. He grows the jet things, his crest, and his tail. His skin turns electric blue everywhere but his stomach, which turns a zappy yellow. Trey can detach his little jet things to use as sonar. They come back, reattach themselves and tell him where to go. That's useful because he can't see. He can also sense things that are coming his way through vibrations in the ground.

Personality: Trey is the person who is relaxed and carefree. He can be annoying because of it, so it's not easy to be around him. He is also blunt and straightforward, which gets him stares and glares. He can't see things in plain sight, and can lose things quite easily.

He can also be very eccentric and exciting, wanting to do everything possible. Trey loves a good challenge, and is very influencing in the art of compassion for battle. Pokemon see good in him and befriend him. But Trey thinks that one day all PokeBalls will fly back to the Pres. of Silph Co., and he will own them all. So Trey just allows his Pokemon to keep out of PokeBalls.

History: Trey was born in Cerulean City, Kanto, as an only child. His family was upper-middle class, and lived in a small mansion near the Pokemon Gym where his cousins worked. When he was three, he had tripped and fallen and hit the back of his head on the sidewalk. He was rushed to the ER. When his parents saw him wake up, they were surprised to see that he didn't show any sign of seeing them. Then the doctor told the family simply in three year old terms that he had lost his eyesight.

Whe he was seven, he recieved his first Pokemon, Glitter the Gible. She had been with him for three years until she wandered out of the city and didn't come back...everyone assumed the worst, but Trey kept expecting her to come back. He kept waiting and waiting...for two years. Until he finally gave up. But he got help and made a scrapbook of their best times and locked himself in his room for three days, for the three years that he had spent with Glitter. Little did he know that his devotion to his partner would bring her back...soon.

After he had come out of his room, he ran to the cave. Cerulean Cave. He had remembered the route because he went there every day. He was just looking for alone time. But a wild Alakazam prevented that. He had come up to Trey and had started to use Psychic, when Glitter came back. In the form of a +Pokéma. She entered and he used her Draco Meteor. The Alakazam was defeated and Trey felt Glitter with him again. He wanted to feel happy, but...it happened again. He was so happy that he could feel it. And he showed it. But he had heard what they did to +Pokéma, so he snuck home, wrote a note, packed up and left. It was the hardest thing he had ever done.

Trey is now on the run, slowly moving from Mt. Silver to Lavender Town, resting in Diglett Cave. He feels at home there since he is now partially Gible.

Appearence: Trey is about 5'5" now that he's 13, and he weighs 107lbs. He has electric yellow hair, and it comes down in bangs to the edges of his eyes. His nose and ears are small, and his hands and feet are large. His skin is a light khaki and is blemish free.

He wears a blue t-shirt and a yellow jacket that he keeps unzipped so that you can see the design: it has a sillhouette of a Gible on it and has a caption saying: "got gibles?" He wears electric green, woolen, fingerless gloves that reach under his jacket up to his elbows. He wears pale blue jeans, neon pink shoes and an electric orange scarf. He has a red rucksack that he wears slung over his right shoulder. His jacket covers his mark, and when he can't wear it, his t-shirt and and gloves cover it enough.

"Well, if you find a better way to survive, let me know!" screamed Lucius.

"I just wanted to let you know that you were the one to say that we could do anything if we put our minds to it! Where's that Lucius?!" yelled Leigh. They had been pulled into the Aether , and Leigh was taking advantage of it. They had been stealing from resteruants in a nearby town. They had been hiding in a cave on the outskirts of this town, and they had acquired a map of their current region: Hoenn. They were looking for Mirage Island, because they had gotten the call. The call to Mirage Island. It wasn't so much that they wanted to go, it's just that they…were pulled. And now they were in the Aether.

"We were going over a plan to leave, anyway. We were almost done!" Lucius yelled. He felt like no one could understand him! No one could feel the—

"Lucius, don't look now, but there's an Absol right behind you."

Lucius turned anyway.

The Absol tackled him, but Leigh went into a frenzy. She kept using Iron Head, kept hitting the Disaster Pokemon with her giant jaws. She desperately tried to free her trainer, but the Absol just kept staring at Lucius. Then Lucius screamed, "I got the signal! I'm going to Mirage Island! Just please, get off of me!"

The Absol slowly retreated. "Who are you?"

"My name is Lucius Acryl. I'm going to Mirage Island to meet up with another Shifter. Who are you?"

"My name is Amaterasu the Absol, and that Shifter is my trainer. We can travel to Mirage Island together," said the Absol. She then asked, "Where are we, by the way?"

Lucius replied, "We are parallel to Fortree City in our world. We should go back and get our stuff, but… We have no control over when we Shift. It's quite embarrassing, really." He scratched the back of his head. "Is there any way that you could take us to…what should we call it?"

"We call the world we live in the Contemporary Realm, and this disgusting place is called the Aether Realm. It's bad enough that this realm IS, and now there's something here. I hate it. Hate it. H-A-T-E. It ," Amaterasu said. She spat at the dirt and then, by surprise, took them back. It was the first time that they felt or saw anything. It seemed like the Aether was melting, and then the Contemporary was melting atop of it. "This is usually what happens to us, and next is the prickling."

She was right. Lucius's skin was crawling, then his skin was prickling like he was growing needles. "When's this gonna end, anyway?"

"Right n—"

Amaterasu couldn't finish because at that moment, that precise moment, they entered the Contemporary. "Well, thanks." He then packed everything up while the girls talked it up in their foreign tongue. "I never seem to comprehend why girls can talk so much." He heard unisonic growls that meant that he should shut up. "Well, OK, little Misses Bossy."

They went back to the Aether, the opposite of what went on last time happening. "So we should head directly south…and that'll make us here, and it'll take us there. Pacifidlog Town. The only problem is that I don't know how long it'll take us…or how far we should go. And compasses don't work here, so I don't know where south IS," said Lucius. "Let's go back, use the compass, face south, come back, and go."

They did just that.

"Alright, we'll Shift back periodically and check where we are. Then, when we get to Pacifidlog, we'll go east. We'll have to take a boat for that…" pondered Lucius aloud. "LETTUCE LEAF!" And then they…leaft.

Name: Lillian "Lily" Umber
Age: 16

Pokéma: Lily's Pokema is Ditto, which presents itself if you look at the whites of her eyes which are a strange, milky pink enveloping dark pupils. This strange coloring has greatly affected her vision for the worse. The pinkness can be found in the veins on her arms as well. Though her skin is extremely stretchy, it is very easy to rip her body apart (she has already lost two fingers on the left hand).

The affliction becomes more obvious if one touches her skin as the area that was touched will develop a pink "rash". Too much movement at once (i.e. beyond light jogging) can cause her skin to goo-ify, a painful and messy process. Likewise, staying very still for a very long period of time (over 24 hours) can cause her body to liquify and transform on its own. Her fingers and toes tend to web together unless she is constantly moving them. This can be a problem as Lily tends to stay very still for several hours.

Like the real Ditto, Lily can take on various forms albeit imperfectly. Lily tends to hide as objects if need be. Her human imitations are all right until she attempts to mimic the person's emotions and actions which always falls through. Pokemon are the hardest for her to mimic as she is still more human than Pokemon, +Pokema or not. Her eyes are the only thing she cannot change. It's a taxing effort for her cells to stay together in human form or anything else, but this means she is rather elastic. Cat scans have shown that the Ditto glob is manifesting in pockets of her brain as well. The implications of such studies is unknown, but it is most likely a significant factor towards her frequent losses of memory among other things.

Personality: If there are space cadets, Lily is a space admiral. Especially now after the event. Over the two years since, Lily has gotten increasingly delusional and spacey. She is rather forgetful, sometimes even forgetting her own name or existence as a +Pokema. She can come off as unfeeling and blunt, perhaps even offensive. Her face rarely changes from indifferent boredom, the only discernable expression forming in her eyes.

Lily has always been unnerved easily, twitchy at bumps in the dark or even the dark itself. She has never slept without a lamp off, always afraid that a Ditto might sneak into her room pretending to be her mother (one had pretended to be her deceased father once) or worse. However, if she is afraid of something, she is not quick to show it, usually making decisions to avoid such problems in the first place.

It is possible that her +Pokema transformation has amplified several quirks she already had.

History: Lily grew up in Goldenrod, on the very outskirts of the city by the Ilex Forest. Her mother was a professional Pokemon breeder and employed many a Ditto in her services, though Lily did not like the Ditto very much. Their shapeless forms and placid faces scared her, even more so when they changed forms. Her mother taught her all about breeding Pokemon with the hopes of continuing a family tradition (Lily's grandfather was also a Pokemon breeder), so Lily knew the intricate details very well. Pokemon, the center of Johto culture as she knew it, actually sort of frightened her quite a bit. She only ever had one Pokemon companion: a Totodile that had been given to her by her grandmother on her 10th birthday, as per usual Johto customs.

Lily was around 14 when it happened. Lily was herding her mother's breeding Ditto away when she happened to stumble upon (and disrupt) a Ditto mating ritual. The Ditto attacked her, with one of them latching onto her face basically suffocating her. If not for her witching grandmother who had stopped by on the way back to Ecruteak, she might have truly died. Lily's grandmother conjured a +Pokema spirit, a forbidden and dangerous thing. It was a +Pokema who had killed Lily's father in a savage and beastly slaying - or so Lily had heard. There was no guarantee that the procedure would work, and even if it did, Lily would have been better off dead.

Well, it worked... but it seems not all of Lily has come back with her from that threshold between living and dead.

It was Lily's grandmother who suggested Lily find Janin at Lavender Tower in the first place. After all, she is a secret advocate of +Pokema. Why a Ditto, though? Time was crucial, and her grandmother saw the Ditto still attached to Lily's face...

Appearance: Lily is around 5'4" or 5'5", most likely in the middle. Lily's black hair (her father's) gently waves as it just barely grazes her shoulders, sloppy bangs just falling above her eyes. Her big eyes, of course, are black-within-pink, as close to an alien stare as you can find. Combined with the gaunt angles of her face and milk-white skin, she truly looks otherworldly. She has that 'thousand yard stare' going on most of the time.

Though she is only of average height, Lily's languished appearance makes her look an inch taller. At 110 lbs, she has little shape to speak of. It seems the Ditto part of her has taken a great toll on her body and mind. Lily is usually seen wearing a long, tight blue sweater (with way too long sleeves) that tracks over her short pink shorts with blue knee-high tights. She wears blue elbow gloves to keep her fingers seperated and in the proper shape. Lily's shoes are black and faded from wear.

Lily usually wears corrective contacts (colored ones never worked against her Ditto eyes, though), but she tends to forget to take them out, so glasses come in handy (especially in distracting others from the black-within-pink) more often than not. Without them she's visually crippled. Since the +Pokema event, she tends to have tunnel vision and reduced depth perception without any corrective lenses.

His wall was against the back - no, wait, that's not quite right...

Valentin Eli had his back was against the wall. The concrete block of a room left much to the imagination. Boiling excrement gathered in one corner, someone's dried blood in the next. Valentin held a candlelit vigil in the third. The fourth corner was home to a lonely cockroach, most likely the last of a proud generation. The only thing that occupied every nook and cranny of the place was the smell of freshly applied putrescence and death. Valentin thought the stink was the perfect finishing touch.

The situation turned really bad a few candles ago, however long ago that was. Valentin was down to his last candle, which in a few minutes would form the peak of a mountain of cold wax.

He unwound the scraps of a dead man's shirt. The gash on his right arm bulged a little more, tickled more like an itch. The coagulated blood and pus was cute, but infection was the least of his problems. He moved to lift the arm but the muscles would not obey. His right hand didn't look too good with all that gangrene either, spreading to his wrist so quickly like that.

"So I got it wrong," Valentin muttered. Now was definitely not the time to get anything wrong, but he was human. "Damn." He laughed a little. It didn't sound very good, he thought.

The candle sputtered one last time and the light went with it. Valentin blinked hard, finally letting his eyes adjust to dark. The pitch black was rather welcoming.

Okay, I just realized Ditto is actually purple. Wow.

You may remember me, Kon, I kinda expressed my interest for this roleplay from the beginning. Anyway, I'm glad to see the roleplay turned out good, and that it didn't have problems getting SUs despite the mixed responces.

age: twelve

Pokéma: ura has the pokéma of a vulpix, with black diamonds on her wrists, ankles, back and behind her ears. when she becomes her pokéma, she grows red-brown fur from the diamonds on her wrist and ankles with cover her feet and hands, her ears become fox ears, and vulpix tails grow from just below the diamond on her back.

personality:ura is a curious, rather childish girl. she can be very quiet, but when with fellow +anima would rather be the centre of attention. she isnt afraid of transforming when needed, and quite ofton when does it for fun, but restrains from doing in front of humans, for fear of being outcast or feared more than she should be.

although she may sound pleasent enough, ura can get very nasty when she wants to, especialy in her pokéma form. when she was angered as a pokéma, she apparently manipulated fire from a log fire and sent the other person home with burn marks over most of their body. her temper is one of the reasons she left her home town.

funnily enough, she almost has the personality of a vulpix

history: surprisingly, ura was a very loved child, and her parents spoiled her very much. she has 3 sisters and 4 brothers, being the oldest girl in the house besides her mother. the whole family lived in kanto in a huge house in fushia city, and were upperclass. ura went to school, was top of her class, got on well with all her family, and learnt to train pokémon with her older brothers

her father was a scientist, spending his time working in the basement on a so called "project kiira." ura's father had a sister named kiira, but she had been killed by an angry pokéma while on a trip to johto. ura's father and his sister had been very close, and he was devistated by the news. so devistated, he tried to make a copy, like how mewtwo was created. any that didnt work he would shut down and lock up in a closet.

however, one got genes of the mad pokéma, and when it was locked up, got free and destroyed the whole house. after killing off the adults, the clone found ura and two of her siblings, her three year old sister yoru and her twin brother kam. ura thought it was over, as did the clone, but luckily pokéma spirits saved them. yoru became an eevee pokéma, kam was a pichu pokéma.
the three escaped, and hid in the basement. the transformations had ruined most of their clothing, so they borrowed some from the failed clones, many stamped with FAIL, especialy shoes or gloves.

ura, yoru and kam lived happily in a local orphanage, untill one day kam got in a fight, became mad and transformed, accidentally electric shocking a nearby child. this child had an older brother, who immediately punched kam in the stomach. ura was quick to react, transforming and burning the boy. afterwards, the children were banished from the town, never to return.the children had tob rely on their pokéma powers, sometimes going days on end without turning back. eventualy they were found by a pokéma slave trader, who captured the three and took them onto a ship which sailed to johto. ura found a way out, escaped, only to find the others hadn't followed. ura was then left alone, till she found out about the gathering at lavender tower, and now she heads there in hope of finding her siblings.

appearance: ura is a rather average 4"5, her eyes are golden-brown and almond shaped. her hair is orange and in a long pony tail, which is all fashioned rather like the "hair" on vulpix's head. she wears glasses, which are slightly cracked from the fights she has gotten into via her temper.

ura normaly wears a light blue shirt (in a few sizes bigger than it should be) which is floaty but bouncy. she has white shorts on which hide below her oversized shirt. fingerless gloves cover the marks on her hands, while her ankle markings are covered by dirty leg warmers, all the same colour as her shirt.

bizzarly, ura only wears one shoe (a bright red plimsole bearing the word FAIL) on her right foot, leaving her left foot cold and dirty.

"i suppose so" said lillian "but the only person i know here is you, and most the children here are french, so i doubt anyone could be my friend." sarah moaned "you've only been here a day! im sure you'll make plenty of friends! now come one, eat this up before it goes cold, i've got to go sort you out a bed, its suprizingly packed for an orphanage!" sarah stood up, handing lillian the soup bowl before turning gracefully and strolling out the room. "if only she understood...im not like ANYONE shes ever met, and not in a good way...

Name: Federico "Frisco" Ticcione

Appearance: ​

Federico is not very tall... actually, he isn't very big in any way. To put it in numbers, he's about 165 cm tall and weighs little over 50 kg. His skin has a southern glow to it, and his hair is a deep chestnut. Frisco has a face full of features inherited from his Italian ancestors. His eyes are dark-brown, round and lively. They are sadly framed by glasses, though. His nose is slightly round, and his mouth is low, by his chin. His dark, chestnut hair is cut pretty short, in a pretty standard manner. Short at the back, so it won't be in the way.​

Federico always dresses in a suit and tie. Instead of the usual pants, though, he wears blue, denim jeans. His shoes are always top class, and very expensive. The jacket of the suit is always black, so the only variations in Federico's outfits are the color of his shirt and his tie. As his shoes, his glasses are also top notch.​

Federico is very confident and sure. His mind is stable as a mountain. His confident smile never disappears from his face, even though he is angry, or sad. Frisco knows he is the best, and he knows that everything revolves around him. You can barely talk to him before he makes the subject somehow about himself. This trait of personality is empowered by his power, which actually makes everything revolve around him... in a way.​

Only the best is accepted by Federico. He is snobbish, arrogant and disgustingly self-absorbent. He wants everything in his life to be the best. His house, his clothes, his friends, his deeds... even his powers. Of course, since this is so important to him, he will not rest until he himself is the very best. So, in a way, these attributes also make him stubborn. Materialistically, he has no problems getting the best, because of his heritage. It is personally and physically he will strive to new heights.​

Pokéma: Exeggcute​

Frisco has five markings as a circle around his upper torso. One at the very center of his chest, one at the front part of each shoulder and two on his back, one at each shoulder blade. All these markings are formed as eggs. They are small, the size of an eye, and all have unique patterns on them, resembling cracks. When the Pokéma is released, all the markings grow into individual eggs with cracks in them, all with faces. Also, Frisco's skin is covered by a protective, pink layer, like the shell of an egg. Frisco can rotate the eggs around his torso as he wishes, though he can not change the order in which they are summoned in. When Frisco reaches this state, all the eggs have their own consciousness and their own power.​

Frisco
(We count Frisco as one of the eggs, because like them, he gains powers and is covered by a shell...)
Personality: Same as before, though a little more bossy and confident.
Powers: Frisco has impressive, psychic powers in this state, deriving from the move Psychic. He can move things around with his mind, and through concentration he can also enter someone's mind. This power is also the one that allows the other eggs to levitate around his torso. Frisco can also command his gang of eggs into a Barrage, striking the opponent with momentum.


Sherman
Sherman is the egg that is represented by the marking in the middle of the torso. He has a crack which starts as two on the top, and unites before it crosses his left eye. He's Frisco's "front-man".
Personality: Sherman meets every situation head on if he can, and is always eager for a fight. He is extremely aggressive, and will always try to talk Frisco into attacking someone.
Powers: Sherman has the ability to spit out small seeds from his mouth, as if they were bullets from a machine gun. The Bullet Seeds usually travel in a straight line, unless Sherman is in movement.


Alvin
Alvin comes from the mark located on the front of the right shoulder. He has a crack in his shell over the left eye. Frisco calls him his "cover".
Personality: Alvin is a very serious individual, and will over-think most situations. He will often challenge Frisco's authority and leadership, something Frisco dislikes. He often commands his twin-brother, Calvin, around.
Powers: Alvin has the ability to summon a reflective sheild with his mind, and Reflect most ranged attacks. It is still somewhat penetrable, though.


Calvin
Calvin grows out of the mark located on the front of the left shoulder. The crack in his shell is on the bottom, and runs up his chin and cheek, in a split. He is Frisco's "dirty-worker".
Personality: Calvin seems to have no sense of security at all; he will listen to any command given by Frisco or his twin-brother; Alvin. His mind will also wonder off on occasion, making him a very weak link in the gang.
Powers: Calvin can plant seeds that sprout, and grain a being to the earth, sucking out his health and giving it to Frisco. The so-called Leech Seed grows very solid vines, which also hold an opponent in place.


Al
Al is the egg from the mark on the back, on the left shoulder blade. Most of his left side is cracked, numerous marks all over. He is Frisco's "insider".
Personality: Al is very pessimistic and generally sad. He wines constantly, and will want to walk away from every challenge. He is very bright though, and can always give an answer to questions.
Powers: Al has the power to produce a soothing, rhythmic ticking with his mind. This sound, when directed to a foe, can work as a Hypnosis.


Timothy
Timothy is the egg from the mark on the right shoulder blade, at the back. The entire top of him is missing, and his inside shows. Therefore, he always appears dead. He is Frisco's "dead meat".
Personality: … none​

Powers: Ironically, Timothy is probably the strongest member of the gang. When told, he can start gathering sunlight through his large crack. When released, that power becomes a fearsome SolarBeam!

This was the first time Oliver understood the situation completely. And it made him so angry, no one could imagine. He had been forced to take a mission with a dark mage, who he soon found to be crazy. She piles up the dirty work for him, while she gets to talk to a tree. When she's done talking, she just happens to give Oliver another bird to wrestle, a bigger one. Careless, sadistic, egoistic... if this was what a dark mage was, they didn't even deserve the word 'dark'. Not enough with that, the ***** continued to talk in riddles. -This is a bad day, Oliver thought to himself.

No more time to think, though, the monstrous bird charged right at him. Oliver managed to roll to the side, and the thing pulled a chunk of ground right out with it's jagged beak. Oliver had to find a strategy. The bird was big, and it's sight and aim seemed to be spotless. I was fast, so running wasn't really an option. The thing was probably pretty heave, so it's wings were strong. There really didn't seem to be any weak spot on that damned thing. As usual, Oliver had to make his own...

The Coal Soul touched the ground with a palm, and a serious expression took over his face. "Coal-Make Floor!" he shouted, and the scenery suddenly changed. In a radius of about 10 meters around Oliver, the ground was covered in coal, with large flakes of it sticking up. Oliver grabbed his hammer, still intact, with both hands, and started smashing some flakes. A large cloud of dust started rising as the bird charged towards Oliver again. Oliver hid in the clouds of dust, and as expected the bird crashed down into the floor, missing his target and leaving himself somewhat vulnerable.

Oliver, with his goggles on, could see pretty clearly where the bird lay, He started hammering it's left wing while jumping from side to side, trying to dodge the bird's attacks. The wing didn't break very easily, so Oliver couldn't manage to incapacitate it before the bird was back on it's legs. Oliver quickly lay the hammer down, and touched the coal-floor with both hands widely separated. "Coal-Make Shields!" he shouted, both making two shields of coal and luring the foe towards him. The bird, which Oliver in his mind named Fugly, jagged his head between the two shields, and again Oliver leaped over to it's left to destroy it's wing. He eventually made two new hammers to replace the old one, still pounding on the wing. However, once again the beast Fugly could escape, this time flying out of the cloud with some difficulties. This confirmed Oliver's hurting the wing.

Once outside the dust-cloud, Oliver had some troubles seeing Fugly. He listened to it's wings flapping, and concluded that it was to the right, by the tree. Oliver started forming the coal, making an even more complicated trap. He made a crater in the floor, forming a sphere together with the coal-walls he made. He shouted out while between Fugly and the trap, and suddenly noticed Fugly charging at him. He merely dodged the charge, even wounding him slightly. His leg had a cut in it, but no major wound. Oliver started rampaging at the left wing again, while Fugly was struggling to get out of the crater. At last Oliver heard something break in the wing. His morale was renewed, and he hit even more percussively until he heard another breaking sound. A tthat point, Fugly had already got most of his body outside the trap, and started flapping it's right wing at him.

Now that Fugly was rendered into walking, it was much more direct and aggressive. It constantly charged at Oliver. "I..." he started shouting. He got hit by the tail whipping, but his skin wasn't penetrated. "...HATE..." Oliver continued. He hit Fugly's forehead, which sent him backwards a little. "...YOU!" Oliver finished, referring to the crazy witch. He hopped, stepped on Fugly's eye and hit it again in the forehead before being flung away by the screaming bird. Oliver landed just outside his dust cloud...
