A romhack of Pokémon Red and Blue that includes various features from each iteration of Kanto, along with unused beta content found in the Gigaleaks. Features:

    • Beta versions of the Steel/Dark/Fairy types!
    • Unused Pokémon from beta builds and future generation evolutions, as well as the inclusion of Kanto-exclusive 'mons from GSC (Houndour/Murkrow/Slugma)
    • Added NPCs and trades to help with version exclusive or once per save Pokémon.
    • Tradeback NPC in Celadon.
    • FRLG Oak's Aide rewards! (Everstone + Amulet Coin)
    • Move Deleter + Relearner in Fuchsia and Indigo Plateau respectively.
    • References to hoaxes like Bill's Garden and the Mew under the truck.
    • Tougher Boss trainer learnsets from Yellow version.
    • Gym Leader post-game rematches.
    • Modern Exp. All sharing formula (Still requires 50 Pokémon caught to get)
    • QoL with BW's reusable Repel system and HMs usable in the overworld.
    • Daycare now has a PC, and there's a chance your Pokémon will have an Egg! (Living Dex possible in one save file?)
    • Improved Vitamins and purchasable PP Ups!
    • Hyper Training!
The goal is to include as many beta features as possible, and some new Kanto-related ones, without changing the feel of Generation 1. Pokémon are only type changed to their modern vanilla counterparts, however regional variants/regional fakes/gimmick forms/paradox forms etc. are NOT included.

Moves from later generations are only included if they fill out a new type, or act as a signature move for a Pokémon. Otherwise, no major changes have been made to individual species.

Hey, this looks pretty neat, I'd love to give this a shot when I get some time :D

If it's not a huge problem, though, could you add Kanto Expansion Pak to the 'code referenced from' list? I had a look at your code and spotted some parts that I definitely recall writing/adding, so having the right credit would be nice. No problem otherwise, though!

My bad! I was using code that was on the pret tutorials page, will add the proper credits ASAP.

hay i was just wondering, is there any battle facility at all or is it just one and done like normal R/B/G/Y?
I did intend to add a battle facility, but I ended up cutting it back. Maybe in the future I'll make an update to include one!

There's still a decent amount of stuff to do when you're done with the game, like Gym Leader rematches, a harder E4 and the Oak battle.

It appears that leveling up Golbat to level 41 crashes the game, I don't know if it is emulator specific but I'm using MyOldboy

I haven't tested the hack on multiple emulators, but on BGB it works as intended. Maybe it IS an emulator issue? Either way, sorry if you lost any progress :,)

If you're playing on mobile I'd recommend Retroarch and testing out which core has the more accurate emulation.

alright..... well im just gonna wait and for one to be added then. ive just been picky of the hacks i play cuz being able to go back to catch and train up mons for competitive in places like that is what i look for in the games. wish you luck on the hacks updates and any future progress tho!!

Really like the idea of what this hack is. If I'm reading it correctly, then it might be something Ive been really wanting since KEP dropped. I do have a few questions. Ive only played a little so far but what is the line that looks like an arrow/checkmark. The color under it seems to match my health bar; I thought at first it was an exp meter? It seems to change with my health and I'm wondering if it's a visual glitch or a feature I am not understanding. Also is squirtles backsprite its beta design? Roster-wise -- what makes it different than Kanto Expansion Pack. Is it the same pokemon or were there changes? Also I know regional forms aren't included but I'd love to at least see Alolan variants of Exeggutor and Marowak; At least lorewise Alola feels like it would make sense given how close Alola is supposed to be to kanto. Also I am fighting the rival and it has a pokeball icon next to his pidgey. Is that intended? I figured for wild pokemon it would but I wasnt expecting to see it on a trainer's pokemon

It IS an EXP meter! It changes with the HP bar's palette because of how the SGB's coloring renderer works. Basically, chunks of the screen are made into one palette, and it's not really easy to decouple the section where the bar is from the color the HP bar uses.
Also is squirtles backsprite its beta design?
Sort of! The majority of the vanilla Pokémon use their back sprites from the Spaceworld demo. Future Pokémon that are added in like Slugma are also using their beta designs.

Included in the OP, there's a link to a spreadsheet with information. Vanilla Pokémon's stats are unchanged, some have slight moveset tweaks which I'm working on documenting (but can be looked at here), baby 'mons and future evolutions are included, with most of the babies that weren't planned for RBY being daycare exclusive. (The original RBY babymons can be seen on this page of the CuttingRoomFloor)
The rest of the dex is filled with various beta and unused designs.

My interpretations of the beta 'mons aren't 1-to-1 with the KEP hack, I more default to the Helix Chamber's theories and my own interpretations, like Gawarhed being Normal/Dragon instead of Rock as in KEP.
And yeah, I do not plan on including any of the regional variants, sorry!
Also I am fighting the rival and it has a pokeball icon next to his pidgey. Is that intended?
Originally no, but I decided to leave it in anyway. I found myself often forgetting if I caught something and it ended up being helpful even in trainer battles.

Hope that clears a lot of it up!
